CarrieCee has just sent me an email of her completed fic In Places No One Will Find. She wrote:

Thank you all so much for your patience. When I first began scribbling away at this little fic I thought I'd have it done and dusted in a month or two. HA! It's taken me far longer than I ever anticipated, and caused way more drama than I ever would have imagined.
Despite that, I've loved writing it - even when times were tough - and so glad that so many people got pleasure out of it.
Attached is the completed fic, from prologue to epilogue. I've made some minor grammatical and spelling adjustments, and picked up a few continuity errors, and I swear that will be the last time I fiddle with it lol.
I've made a note on the file, but I just want to mention it again - please don't distribute this file further, publicise or reproduce it in any way without my permission first. I'm being one of those wanky writers we all hate, but because I'm working on original fics now I'm not entirely comfortable with my works, even under a pseudonym, being available on the internet. I'm happy to forward it to pretty much anyone who wants to read it, so if you know anyone who I may have missed on my email list, please let me know and I will forward it from here.

I'm looking for a fanfiction I read before but forgot the names of. One is where a faulty machine causes doctors to tell Bella that she has 1 year to live. She runs into Alice and moves in with her and meets Edward. She asks him to marry her. He is actually a musician hiding in town.

You'll also want to read I'll Show You What's Up - the EPOV. But read the BPOV first or it won't make sense.

Can someone explain to me how the descriptives OOC and AU are different? Why don't they mean the same thing? Thanks and sorry for being a n00b.

OOC means Out Of Character - meaning the characters don't respond or act like the canon characters from the source material. Maybe Edward drinks human blood and isn't a gentleman, or Bella isn't virtuous and shy, maybe she's a snarky foul-mouthed bitch....the characters act differently than they do in canon.

AU - alternative universe. The settings or types of story are set in an alternate universe. This is more related to the story and setting/plotlines/story elements. Could still be vamps, and the characters might still behave similar to canon but the storyline and setting is different from canon. Something like The Fallout - canon characters (sort of) but thrown into a completely different universe by things that differ from the original canon story.

I contacted CarrieCee and she said that it was fine to post the finished doc here, but did ask that it wasn't posted anywhere else publicly or distributed any further.

We Aussies are a friendly bunch!

So here it is in PDF - that's how she sent it. I'm sure anyone with more tech skills than me (which is anyone!) can convert. I just hope I uploaded it correctly.
