I asked about this back in October, but thought I'd try again.

Searching for a fic . . .

What I remember is basically just one scene — but am certain if you read it you'd well remember it — as it's rather unforgettable. Well, unless you're me and read it while in hospital right after surgery. Hmmm, now I think on it — perhaps it was all a bloody dream?? *snort* And drug induced one at that.

I'm not certain on all the details, though am quite certain it's a total crackfic. And I read it well over a yr ago, so it could be pulled. Also, fairly sure it was multi-chap, not just O/S.

Bits I remember: Bella is older than Edward by 2 or 3 yrs (she's at Uni - he's in HS). She's friends with his sister (Alice I think). Anyway, he wants her—she wants him—but she says they have to wait til he's older (maybe outta HS). So they wait a bit, then one night at the pool they hook up and there's this whole discussion about them hoping she gets pregnant (yeah, I know right—total crackfic). Charlie comes home, catches them, and kills Edward. Fairly sure, Bella dies as well, but can't remember by accident or by Charlie. Then Bella & Edward begin chatting as ghost/spirits/whatever and that's as far as I got.

Honestly, don't know if there was more and my meds kicked in knocking me on my arse — or if I decided my own hallucinations where enough crac.

Oh, and I'm fairly certain it was by one of the more popular author's.

Sooooooo, can anyone out there help me?? *looks around hopefully*

Someone on ADF mentioned that this fic, Not Intended by hearmenot by was pulled on Jan. 13th - possibly complete or with around 87 chapters up with one last chapter to go. Does anyone have a copy? Have not read it, but of course now I'm intrigued because it was a mobward story! Author was Polish but fic was written in English. Nothing left on her profile...

In regards to Not Intended by Hearmenot, I wouldn't count on that fic being rewritten.

She literally just finished it yesterday, and the ending of it was terrible. She left open a ton of plot holes and basically made it seem like she just ended the story just to end it; like, literally, it seemed as if she just stopped it right in the middle of the story. She DID try to explain why she did it the way she did, but she went about doing it wrong and ineffectively. Not only were many questions left unanswered, but all the build up of implied character growth that seemed to be going for B&E as individuals was just killed. And, this growth for her particular version of them desperately needed to happen because with where she left off in the story, many readers were extremely annoyed with both main characters. So, the way the story is now, IMO, it's not worth sticking through for 87 chapters of Edward being a selfish, controlling, manipulative bastard and Bella only standing up for herself every once in a while.

I get that people have the right to write what they want to write, but she led her readers on for 87 chapters only to end the story without truly finishing it and copping out by calling that "the end." Many readers were really pissed off about it, especially because she said that she wouldn't be writing a sequel or an epilogue. So, it's done. There are no other chapters left with it. I think she pulled it because of all the negative reviews that she was getting.

I can't tell you how many times this has happened, and the worst part is that because she pulled the way she did, more interest has been drawn to the story because we all want to read it because it was pulled (or pulled to publish as we usually tend to suspect when something like this goes down). It's a shame because those of you who have followed the story and trudged through the crap waiting for the payoff didn't even get it. I haven't read the story, but now that I know how this whole thing went down I don't really want to waste my time.

I was just wondering, if I don't have a Kindle can I still buy the Mobi ( I think thats the format) books from Amazon from my computer and then convert them using convertfiles to PDF? I don't have a Kindle but many of my fave fanfic authors are starting to publish Kindle books on Amazon and I'd like to read them...

And, if I did get a Kindle, if I wanted to read a fanfic that I have in pdf form on my computer on the Kindle, is there any way that I could convert the PDF to Kindle form and transfer it to the Kindle to read on that?

Sorry, not very technological over here!

Firstly, you can download a Kindle for PC app that's free, so that'll read any books you buy on Kindle. You can use either an online converter (for example You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login) or you can use a program such as Calibre, though that's a little more advanced.

Second you can read PDFs on a Kindle, or again use a converter to change it back to mobi if you prefer.
