Please do not upload fics that are still available on ffn. Try You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login if you want to create copies of stories currently available on ffn, TWCS, Twilighted or ADF.

Use Calibre or You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to convert files from one format to another.

Thanks are always appreciated. It's two clicks. One click to download the story and one click on the thank you button. It's the least we can do for the time and effort people put in to finding and sharing with us!

Just a few other friendly reminders:

Please use the subject and tags lines as follows (with no colon after UL, LINK and REQ)
When uploading a story it would be like this: UL The ABC story by author123
For Links, it would be: Link DurtyNelly blog
Requests for stories: REQ The ABC story by author123

Are you looking for a specific fic? In the upper right hand corner is a search box with a drop down menu. Type in your search criteria and you will probably find the story has already been uploaded. If you search and can't find what you're looking for, feel free to ask.

Some things I go ahead and pull with Calibre's FF downloader plug in, and every few days, I go through all the ones marked incomplete and see if they'll update. I always cheer when something downloads an update.

Apparently I'm behind on times...I have Calibre to convert things, but what is the downloader plug in?

I use it instead of flagg most of the time. Every once in awhile it screws up and those I use flagg for. Once you get the plug in, you just post the fic address into the plug in, and it grabs it. If it's in progress, you can click it and it'll check for updates. For instance, if someone posts a link to a fic on ff.net here, you just cut & paste the link from here into the plug in, you don't even have to go to ff.net to the book page!

Plus, it works with most sites, ff.net, twilighted, twiwrite, TWS, fictionpress. It can't pull from blogs though, I wish it could.

You can use excel to keep track of your FFN profile and you can update it automaticaly.

just skip a line in the same book if you have multiple pages. But check the list against your profile first if you notice a number difference.

I got it the easy way - Open the preferences, click on "get plugins to enhance Calibre" and you can find fanfiction downloader from kiwidude.

I just figured out how to save my user name and password for TWCS and Twilighted in it. So happy!

But the best part of the whole thing is you can add columns at the top and have the downloader import all sorts of info, like # of words & chapters, all the metadata like characters and type of story, and the summary

I really love it!

I put in my username and password but it still asks me every time, I must have something screwed up. Need to go look again.

It doesn't help that I've stupidly registered with different names in different places, lol! I need to reregister every place under ONE name.

Under the personal.ini? There's a space for username and password, but you also have to remove the # on those two lines. At least that is what I did. I should test it again, now that I think about it. I did get an error message the last time, fixed what I did wrong & I don't remember if I tested it again.

Yes, it worked. but just make sure you don't remove the ## from any other line but the username and password or it won't work

We try to only upload pulled fics to save on server space but we can share the summaries to see if you recognize it. Or maybe you could give up the plot?
