Ok, yep thats the one I was thinking of.  I actually just had this pop up as ready for me from the library (kindle version).
So, not romantic, but still hot?     Is it mostly just action/suspense/fighting etc or is there a lot of "hot" throughout?   

The Fever series is more in the dark UF category and Mac and Barrons don't really get together for a while.  The main plot of the story is Mac trying to figure out who murdered her sister and the Sinsar Dubh.  This is one of those UF series where there is high UST.  The "romance" itself is light but no less hot or sexy.

Well folks, I've REALLY gone to the darkside, starting my second Black Dagger Brotherhood fic in as many days, another Vutch fic called Lovers Redeemed. Wish me luck! This is the only way to get any good Butch/V action, and I love those Brothers. Maybe it'll hold me over til my Qhuay story in April.

I read Books 1, 2, 3, & 4 of the BDB series. It was hard to understand with names you cannot pronounce, words that don't exist, and bouncing scenes all over the place. I felt like it had no flow and jumping all over the place left you confused. I almost flounced. But I finished Book 1 and thought I must be crazy as everyone had talked about loving these books. I was encouraged not to make my mind up until I had read Book 2. Book 2 was definitely better than book 1, and I moved right into Book 3. Book 3, Lover Awakened, is Zsadist book. I was totally surprised at my response to that book and I had no idea I would love him like I did. Great, great book. By book 4, I am expecting as with each one thus far, getting better and better. Book 4, was about 200 pages too long. Sure, it had a lot of things going on, but it just dragged on and on without really moving forward. I got severely disappointed and just never finished the series. *shrugs* maybe one day. I wind up skimming over the lesser parts.

Why you are more than welcome ladies, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm always worried that I'm gonna rec something on here that turns out to be a dud...Ha! But this one, it's going on my 'read again' list for sure. It was so quick, happy and enjoyable it's definitely one to go back to again.

I liked the first....4, maybe 5 books. Yes the names are silly, and yes, way too much name dropping and product placement. But Ward teased me SO much with Butch and V, only to pair Butch with a weak,

I wanted the story Ward was afraid to do, so now I'm seeking it out elsewhere.

V remains my favorite Brother, but Zsadist's book was my favorite too. I had high hopes for Phury's book, and now I wish I had some brain bleach, so that I could wipe that ENTIRE mess from my mind. Awful, just awful, my Phury deserved better than what he got.

Rhevenge's story was good, I was surprised to find myself liking the story of a drug dealing pimp (at least I think that's what he was) but I really liked his book! He has extra kinky bits on his....kinky bits.

After Book 4, Butch's book.....I eyerolled more than flipping the pages. I never made it to V's book. Maybe I should have read the 5th one.
