Is the universe conspiring against us? i too have SiL problems. Being the youngest of 5 kids, my only sister is our eldest and is 13 yrs older than me (she is rapidly adopting the mentality of my mom and aged aunts), i am surprised to be the one trying to keep the peace. Big sis got into a shouting match with my SiL and my bro last october. Thankfully, my bro and sis have patched up, though it is awkard at times, but my SiL hasn't shown her face since, not even through Christmas and New Year (us 4 sibs and family have weekly Sunday lunch at my mom's who lives with my sis, our middle bro lives in SanFo).

She is a housewife and has a chip on her shoulder. everything she sees, she complains about. no celeb looks good or she always finds fault in them, no one can make a good meal or bake a cake better than her. what a pain. Am just sad that my mom is 84 yet she still has to experience this and cause undue worry that we will break out into WW3 once she is gone...

I have one sister-in-law that I like, one former sister-in-law that I like but don't like the way she treated my brother, and the woman who is married to my husband's brother who makes me grind my teeth.  She always wants to give me "advice" whether I want it or not.  The last straw was when she tried to undermine my authority with my daughter by advising her how to get around an action plan my daughter and I were working on.  I was livid.  Luckily, she lives in another state and I only have to see her about once a year.  Arrrgh!  I love my brother-in-law and his children, though.  To see them, I have to put up with her.

I dropped my kidlets off at the inlaws and got in a huge fight with my SiL about their birthday. She and her married boyfriend said I hung up on her.

The bitch called to see what time lunch was at and who was invited. I told her that I just told her parents and I don't know what time they were coming so she should ask them. Well apparently she needed a special invite (they live in the same goddamn house) and that I disrespected her by not personally inviting her 

I don't think that because she's a bitch and just plain nasty to her parents that I should be told I'm disrespecting her.

Is it funny that I love all my SiL's?  Even the one ex-SiL.  Though I totally understand my brother divorcing her (she left him to "find herself" and meet other men) They were together since they were about 14, so I kind of got it.  Just a stupid way to do it.

Now, my BiL's? Yeah, not so much....
