I'm exactly the same hun.

I remember reading a fic ages ago that mentioned that Bella and Edward bought a kitten but it was never mentioned again after that, but I kept wondering who looked after it when they went on their honeymoon etc.  :o
LOL! That would have driven me crazy.  It's like the kitten just disappeared.   :P

I like to think that the kitten ran off and found a nice family/person who didn't completely forget about it.  :P

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
So I finally finished  May December Divide by Corinne Tate  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I definitely was different.  Bella is both much younger and much older than Edward.  LOL!  I think he is around 150 by the time they meet.  Or older.  But still 17.  So it does have a good HEA.  There's a lot of stuff going on.  Bella has a 13 year old daughter named Sam.  Every so often when they would talk about her, I would wonder why they were talking about Sam Uley.  I'm sure the author didn't think about that, just that Samantha was a good name.  It kind of takes a while to get to the Edward/Bella relationship.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Leah is a great character. There is a whole mystery going on related to Sam and her friend being stalked.  Well, mostly the friend. It is a very busy story, if that makes sense. SPaG is okay.  There are things like site instead of cite. Nothing majorly bad though. And it is 450K words.  Oh, and lemons.  Lost of lemons. But just with Edward.  A little Volturi action.  Yeah, that's about it. ;D

Now for something else to read.  There was something I was going to read, but I can't remember what it was.  Sigh.   And I probably should try to figure out what to do with all the ants that are running up and down the wall on the stairway.  I swear this area is just one big ant hill.  I put out the poison things but it is really hard to not kill them all.  Only they just come back.  Better to put out the ant stakes and let them take the poison home.  It just takes a day or so.  Of course, they are dead if they go out of the designated area LOL!

So is everybody watching the Olympics?  I like the Swimming, Gymnastics, Track & Field, and Beach Volleyball.  I watched a bit of the horse jumping the other day.  I find I watch sports that I normally find very boring the rest of the year. And when did handball become an Olympic sport?   :P

We had an ant problem a few summers ago and I found white vinegar and water helped, just by spraying it around doorways and window sills it killed them and after a while they just stopped coming in the house. I actually clean the house with white vinegar and water just to keep them away (just incase), the solution is odorless once it's dried.

I've not watched much of the Olympics as the time difference really sucks and most of the sports I like to watch like swimming is on at stupid O'Clock in the morning, but I did manage to catch some cycling in the Velodrome last night and it was amazing Team GB did so well: the men winning Gold in the team sprint and the women setting a new WR by nearly 6 seconds in the team pursuit.

I love watching mens swimming and cycling for obvious reasons  :P but I absolutely love watching the track racing so I'm really looking forward to that starting today.  :)

Yeah, i always thing about Bella and Angela discussing suit stuffing in the Twilight Movie.....

Now the diving?  You would appreciate that.  And your GB guys did well, if I remember correctly.  They still wear speedos in diving.    :o 8)

I just record a lot of it.  For some reason, they put stuff on over night on the TV.  Only problem is I have been watching on the computer during the day and the night is mostly repeats.

LOl, gotta love a bit of suit stuffing.  ;) :P

I do like the diving as well, though I didn't get to watch any of it. Those speedos definitely brighten up my day.  ;) >:D:P
We won a Gold and a bronze (I think).

The swimming I watched last night was really exciting, it's crazy how good Michael Phelps is.

Yeah, I have been watching quite a bit of the Olympics too - switching between all the channels. It's a little embarrassing and weird too since the only sports I usually watch are NYC Football Club matches. I love the swimming, diving, gymnastics, and beach volleyball most. I like the archery and fencing, and wish they would have shown more of the judo. I'd like to have seen that (especially You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login). I'm looking forward to the track and field stuff. I usually skip the sailing, water polo, weight lifting, and rugby. I can't stand watching the equestrian stuff. I'm a knot of anxiety for the horses, so I only watch the winner highlights.

I've been rereading all the PNR series I rec'd previously, but did finish Knock Me Up Please by gabby1017. It was meh. Fine, whatever.

I'm trying the latest Harry Potter, but I'm finding the script format quite unappealing so it's been a start-and-stop adventure. There's dialogue so the plot is evident, but it's missing all the characterization (I guess acting expressions, scenery, costumes, etc. are discussed in rehearsal/staging so they aren't in the script?) I don't know, but I'm not loving it. I'm certainly going to finish it because I have to know what happens, but I'm definitely disappointed with the presentation.

I thought KMUP started alright but kind of lost it's way at some point, I remember wanting to hit my head against a wall several times while reading it, so I felt the same way hun it was only okay.  ;)

I didn't realise that it was 2000 yr old record that is unreal.  :o
He's really going to be missed if it's true about him retiring after the Games.

This is true.  Is he at 22 medals or something?  I think I lost track.

Watching the Trampoline....  It actually looks fun.

Your ladies Heptathlete (is that the word?) is looking really good.  I watched the high jump portion. It is crazy how high they get.  Compared to them?  I low jumped in high school.

I was looking at that Harry Potter, but as soon as I saw it was script format? Yeah, didn't like reading them in HS English, probably won't like it anymore than I did then.

Vampward i think.

Like fics were Bella doesn't take Edward back so easily after Italy. A different take on Eclipse or Breaking Dawn. Things like that.

I read an amazing fic set between Twilight and New Moon about the summer where Bella got to know Edward and his family better.

I love things like that.

Yeah, he's at 22 atm but I think he's going for his 23rd today or tomorrow (I get confused with the time zones  ^-^ ).

I might have to go online later and watch the trampolining as I've heard that it's quite fun to watch.

I read somewhere that the women have been known to jump up to 6ft 10.25", where the men jump anything up to 8ft!! That's crazy, the thought of jumping up anything higher than 1/2ft would send me straight to hospital I'm sure.  :D :D

Masen Manor by drotuno
Beyond Time by TKegl (mix of vamp/human, but loved the characterization)

I have been watching whatever olympics they are currently showing.  I have the choice between Austrian, Swiss and German coverage, so it has been a lot of whatever those countries are competing in at the moment, although someone is normally showing the gymnastics, if not all of it or the US athletes (I did get to see the second half of the women's individual all around, so that made me happy).  Rowing is a morning sport, so we get to watch that live over here.  Swimming is normally on in the middle of the night, so I would only get to see that in reply but the kids can only handle so much olympics.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login My husband and I both rowed, but our uniforms were most always black on the bottom.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginI can't actually see most of these images, since I'm not in the US, but I think it should be humorous

I commented to my husband how shinny some of the divers' speedos were, and he accused me of only looking there.  After of the men's synchronized diving competitions, the camera followed the divers into the locker room as the winners and other divers were changing for the medal ceremony.  Nothing was shown, but they guys were taking off their suits under towels on live tv.

My daughter hasn't seen any of the men's diving yet, but a friend's daughter thought it was funny that the men were diving in their panties.

(Edited to fix the first link since it had p0rn in the url)

Since there are a number of Criminal Minds fans on this site, I thought I'd post the following and blow everyone's minds:

'Criminal Minds' veteran Thomas Gibson fired from CBS drama

By FRAZIER MOORE  -  The Associated Press

NEW YORK (AP) — Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from the long-running CBS drama "Criminal Minds."

ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios, which produce the series, made the announcement Friday with no further details.

Gibson's exit followed a physical altercation last month between him and another member of the "Criminal Minds" company on the series' Los Angeles set. It occurred as the series filmed an episode for the upcoming season, its twelfth, according to a person with knowledge of the incident who spoke on the condition of anonymity because that person wasn't authorized to discuss it.

The altercation reportedly led to an internal review.

The firing was preceded by an apology from Gibson on Thursday.

"There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement. I regret that it occurred," Gibson said in a statement.

Gibson had starred on "Criminal Minds" — which focuses on an elite team of FBI profilers who try to anticipate and prevent criminal behavior — since its premiere in 2005. He played Special Agent Aaron Hotchner. He had also directed six episodes in recent years.

Details on how Hotchner will be written out of the show "will be announced at a later date," the studios said.

Remaining stars of the ensemble series include Joe Mantegna, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler and, a newcomer this season, Adam Rodriguez.

"I love 'Criminal Minds' and have put my heart and soul into it for the last twelve years," Gibson said in a statement Friday. "I had hoped to see it through to the end, but that won't be possible now. I would just like to say thank you to the writers, producers, actors, our amazing crew, and, most importantly, the best fans that a show could ever hope to have."

The 54-year-old Gibson had previously starred in the sitcom "Dharma & Greg" and the hospital drama series "Chicago Hope."

The new "Criminal Minds" season begins Sept. 28.
