Ok hun. I put my detective hat on and googled a few things. First, she loved Twilight and then started writing fanfic. So YES she was in the fandom. Apparently Plus One is an original novella that she wrote after her ff which is probably why it reads like it (I'm just assuming here lol). Wow you actually have a number 1 fic? I can't do that, it would be like picking a fav child lol. There's a few in your list I haven't read. Would you believe they're in my "must read" shelf on iBooks but I've totally forgotten it was there? It was only when I was searching the fics you listed that I found it 

So the Outlander books are what all the cool kids are reading is it? Do you know how many books are in the series? Not so sure I could do a huge series again. I tackled The Song of Ice and Fire last year and that just about did me in haha I'm hoping GRR Martin doesn't die before he finishes the series

Trippin' Slippin' blew me away...  Honestly, it's the best thing I've ever read even above "real books".    Ok, well, I can't say that 100% without mentioning that The Bronze Horseman is up there on that top spot with Trippin' Slippin' just a totally different genre. I don't think I could pick between the two.

Have you been watching the Game of Thrones TV series?    I just got caught up a few months back, watched all of the seasons in just a few weeks and now I'm dying for it to start up again!   I read some of the first book, but I just couldn't finish it once I knew how good the show was.   The show is so much faster paced. ;-)  Normally I always prefer the books.     I did go back and read certain parts of the books when I wanted more detail on a particular story line.

It is definitely what got me excited last year, there are 8 books in total and I'm afraid having also read GRRM I'd say....wait until Gabaldon is done, that way at least you know there is an end.  On my GR profile I have a shelf called doing-a-george-r-r-martin which means the author is in the middle of a series and taking their own Sweet Fanny Adams time about it. When I got to the end of MOBY (the last Outlander book to date) it was then that I thought to ask how long it had been between publishing, I was told 7 years!!! To say I was surprised and disappointed is the understatement of the last two centuries....

Wait just a second...   you mean the series is not finished?  I did NOT know this.   Grrr.   Any idea how many books she plans on writing?

I'm am going to take your advice and hold off reading it. Honestly, I don't do WIP's in ff and I was dumb enough that there are 2 series already that I'm reading that are incomplete - ASoIaF and The Black Dagger Brotherhood. Just read the latest installment of BDB The King and have decided that I'm going to flounce the rest of whatever the WARDen sees fit to release in the future. She introduces so many new characters in every new book that I just thought Fock this sh1t I've had enough and threw in the towel.

I read the Black Dagger Brotherhood up until the sister showed up...  Payne? Was that her name?  I got bored after that and didn't read any of the ones past that.    Some of those early books were REALLY good.   

So I read Over the Counter by TwiAddictAnne and it was eh, ok, but I wouldn't recommend it. It was mostly fluff, and not much substance in the plot IMO. 54 chapters, which includes 3 outtakes is a lot for a mostly fluff story. There was some drama, but not much. The angst wh00rs on here won't like this.

No she's not finished, and the talk is that there will be 10 books in total and we are at eight.....but it actually took 5 years ( not 7 as I was told) between book 7 and 8 so,
I won't have started GRRM if I'd know it wasn't finished and I think his last book was 6 years in the making too.

I was looking at this list of movies and I've actually watched quite a few of them. 
I think I must have a bit of a thing for Lars Von Trier's movies. 

Off to check out that list...  who knew!   This isn't on the list, but have you guys watched Last Tango In Paris?  I'm wondering if it's as good as the fic.  LOL

I pretty much grew up on Brando (my Dad's a massive fan) so I love LTiP, I think it's more intense than the fic but that's just me. 
But it is worth watching.

I didn't like it because it made me sad to see him (remember how gorg he was in Guys and Dolls  )  looking squidgy and fallow and...yucky!
