  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Thread #7 - We are crazy talkers here! Join in the fun!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

But you'll need all 3 uploads.

Nothing includes all the outtakes.  The outtakes are mostly worth it if you like getting Edward's POV.  You can skip 50's first Christmas, though.

Nope nothing there.   :'(

What about controlled indulgence? Like let yourself have one or two during the time that they are available but no more than that.

Controlled indulgence? What an alien term for me.  :P :D :D :D

That's basically what I have been doing  :'(  Its hard to be at the store and not scoop one up every time... Its torture!

But... the results of my journey are making it worth it, but its still annoying because I love food so much  >:( >:( >:(

Good for you!  :) When you seem to be doing everything yet are not seeing results, it's so easy to fall off the wagon. Stick to it as you are already reaping the benefits.  :)

I understand your pain. I am a junk food addict so for me it is all or nothing.

Junk food is my kryptonite. I have slowly gained back 20 pounds of the 40 pounds i lost when i stopped eating junk food or any food that's tasty when i had my worst case of allergies 5 yrs ago. At that time, the pain from my rashes was incentive for me not to eat anything. Any spice (pepper, soy sauce etc) or flavor would trigger my allergy. Same for anything that's processed (food in a can or any package). Couldn't eat out as I won't know what ingredient they put. Needless to say, i was miserable but losing 40 pounds was worth it.  :P

Then, like an alcoholic, i started eating junk food again. my allergy became manageable and i could eat junk or processed food again without breaking out into rashes. So i've basically gone back to my old eating habits hence the weight gain. I am already starting to feel those tingling sensation and itches, the pre cursor of my allergy attacks. Guess i will soon be having an allergy flare up and i won't be eating anything again. Stress at work is also a major contributor. But if the end result is losing weight and feeling good about your looks again, i welcome this impending allergy attack to "reset" my body and mind to doing what's right for my health.  ;D :P

Can I nominate this hot mess for dumbest Bella and Edward?

Bella and Edward are both in serious relationships that have found their way to a couples counselor. What happens when Edward finds out something that could destroy them both? Will he tell Bella, or keep the truth hidden? Huge OOC... beware!
Twilight - Rated: M - English - Romance/Angst - Chapters: 43 - Words: 262,591 - Reviews: 991 - Favs: 413 - Follows: 313 - Updated: Sep 20, 2010 - Published: May 24, 2009 - Edward, Bella - Complete

The writing itself isn't too bad, but it's basically one giant lemon with some ridiculous "drama" thrown in, where Edward and Bella basically partner swap. I kept reading and skimming to see when they'd finally break up with their own partners, so they could be together and it doesn't come until close to the end of the story?! Just chapter after chapter of them getting it on and saying how perfect they are for each other, but completely avoiding ending their respective relationships! MY GOD. It's high school dramarama for adults.  :o

That really sucks.  I get very bad acid reflux basically from eating almost anything.  Even the stuff that shouldn't cause reflux.  But when I did Paleo for 4 weeks, it went away.  But it is so hard to eat healthy 24/7.  Plus I missed rice and potatoes. And I craved yeasty bread.  Fresh from the oven.  The store stuff did not help the craving.  It was really weird.

You are looking for a version of MOTU?
I can put the version I am working on  - the crappy epub and the Word Doc here and then remove it tomorrow.  So then it won't count for the Index :)

I keep forgetting about working on it until after I shut down the computer.  So I think I'm on chapter 5.  She has a lot more Britishism than I remember.  The latest one was something about throwing all the toys out of the pram.  I assume that means throw a temper tantrum.  Because we don't have prams here.   :D :D :D

Thanks!! It's really hard... I haven't lost much weight, 7 lbs, but my measurements have gone down 11.5 inches over all! Which to me, means more than the scale. [emoji106] Just plugging along... Slowly But surely [emoji6]

I hear you. I stopped eating junk food, and lost 20 pounds but of course I fell off the wagon and have since gained it back. Both hubby and I would like to loose a few pounds so we are making some small changes to our diet that I hope will make it easier for us to get off the pounds and keep them off. We both LOVE pasta, but instead of 4-5 times a week, we only have it once a week. We have also added a healthy baby spinach salad to our nightly dinner. Instead of cutting everything out while you have an attack and then binge-ing again maybe there is way to make small changes that will have results but you will be able to follow long term.

Now I want a creme egg.   :o >:D :D

I do wonder if Cadbury uses something more than powdered sugar and water to make the inside. That is way too sweet.

I just finished Parchute by kitsushel including the outtakes. No graphic lemons, but still a very good story and there wasn't any glaring SpaG.

This has been on my TBR list for a long time.  I almost read it the other day but really I was looking for something else.

I will move it up and read it now as I was just finishing Yes by GeekChic12. An aspergers  (sp?) Edward.  Short but good.  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Daddyward as in Edward is actually a father, or daddyward as in daddy kink where he has Bella call him daddy?

If it's daddyward as in Edward is a daddy, some of the girls are reading Parachute by kitsushel.  I read it a long time ago, but I remember I liked it.
