This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Hmmmm that might be it. She is kidnapped for years !

Summary:

Joined at the hip since kindergarten, Edward and Bella shared it all, and at the age of 22, they were happily married, expecting their first child. But when Bella was 4 months pregnant, she was kidnapped. That was 3 years ago.

Yeah that is defo Our Yellow House but it's not the one I'm thinking....I've asked at 152 someone will know it, I'm sure

Do they? I read it early on in my Twific reading career and it was good but I've just been going through my 'read' column and bloody hell! I have read some really good Twifics! You forget, while you trawl through all the sh!t, just how good Twifics can sometimes be!.....

Lol I want to read one of the older popular fics that is heavy on the lemons.

I read Beyond Time... I really liked it! It's not lemony, more story than sex it has the "virgin" factor for awhile. [emoji12]

I haven't read Vampire in the Basement yet.

I think that if you're going to write....write what you know. If you touch on a subject you know little about, may I suggest you do some research first. This author, published, not a fic ,wrote bat mitzvah, not once, but several times. Sorry and thank you

On the lighter side, I just read Mia Sheridan's Kyland and It is really good. Very little angst

God I hate when they do that, it's one of my biggest bugbears and your particular example can't be down to 'auto correct' either. Also when they try and use words they think make them sound intelligent but use them in the wrong context so only come off sounding 'special needs' [emoji36]

I've seen the Vampire in the Basement on lots of top 10 lists I think... I've had it on my TBRsoon list forever but seem to keep putting it off... same goes for Beyond Time. I prefer when they don't jump right in the sack, so the virgin factor is a good thing! ;-)

Vampire in the Basement is more Damagedward and HS Bella. Not a lot of lemons. I haven't read Beyond Time. Have you read LolaShoes' trilogy? It's in the index. They have a crazy amount of lemons in it and she has some interesting powers after she is turned.

I read it fairly quickly because I end up skimming all the lemons. There are a LOT of lemons in that story.

Isn't a bat mitzvah a female equivalent of the bar mitzvah? I'm not Jewish, but I've had friends who were.

it's really more of the same. If you liked the first two, you will like it. I actually like drotuno's Broken Angel series better. Still a ton of lemons but more actual story.

After the first exciting lemon, I usually skim the rest so I tend to forget how many lemons are in a story.

I read all of Lolashoes' fics and I really enjoyed them but it was a long time ago and I hadn't yet experienced lemon fatigue....

My Fav vamp fic. It made me squirm in my seat a few times.

The sequel was just a way to write a long epilogue imo.

In those days, I remember dropping everything to read an update. Many lunch breaks spent reading them.

I asked my Dad as he's Jewish with 6 sisters he I thought he should know and Ella you're right.
Bat means Daughter in Aramaic where as Bar means Son (obviously).

I've read the office, motu, EP, the university of Edward masen and most of cwia. What were TEOPC and TGV published as? I think I read the dominant.

I had 5 stories on my list which I flounced early doors before that gene went defective

CW&IA, The Screamers, High Fidelity (which as now been read as Astro threatened to divorce me) Word With Friends and 6 Degrees of Separation (the writing gave me a headache) I will go back at some point......
