Sigh.  Yesterday was not a good day. I posted and I guess it didn't take because it isn't here.  I was so dead yesterday.

Thanks for all the well wishes!  I will keep my fingers crossed, well, not literally since we don't get the information on passing until the end of November.  I guess grading over 10,000 essays takes a while.
( there were around 1500 people just at the place I took my test and there were 8 essays)  I kind of feel bad for the graders.  They don't get paid a lot for it.  And most of the people there were handwriting.  I figured being saved from hand cramps was so worth paying the extra to be able to use a computer.  :P

So, I'm rereading Haunted Angel by drotuno.  I thought I read it more than once, but I don't remember some of this stuff.  So it's good.

I need to find something else to read though after it.   >:D

Hope you are enjoying Northern Cal Ficfangirl.  Did you make it to Napa?  It is pretty hot in the afternoons.  Though I think our humidity is less than Texas.   ;D

Got home in the middle of the night.  Slept for about 12 hours.  Am now somewhat recovered, but the e-mails and work have piled up in my office.  I anticipate keeping my nose to the grindstone until it's time to take my daughter back to school at the end of August.  The post-vacation catch-up game sucks.

The vacation, however, was fabulous.  Although California is soooo expensive in comparison to Texas and the southeast portion of the US.  The highlights of our trip were the San Diego zoo, Hearst Castle in San Simeon and Alcatraz in San Francisco.  We enjoyed the rest of it, but those were the standouts.  We went on a whale watching tour out of San Francisco, but apparently brought them bad luck.  They'd had whale sightings for the prior 66 straight days.  Although we had perfect weather and great visibility, we had no whales.  We saw lots of other wildlife though, including mola-molas, which I'd never even heard of.  We did make it out to Napa and my daughter and I had our first wine tasting at a vineyard.  I was a little worried because I was driving and am a light-weight when it comes to alcohol.  We also had an opportunity to taste 6-7 different types of grapes from the vine.  I had no idea grapes had such different (and in some case, strong) flavors.  Nothing like the grapes we buy in the grocery store.  While it was coolish (compared to Houston) everywhere along the coast, it was HOT in Napa.  Even San Francisco was having a bit of a heat wave during the early part of the week.

Taking the bar exam is no fun!  I hope you did well and don't have to do it again.  It's bad enough taking it once.

Thanks for identifying Decoy on the 152 thread.  I knew I'd read the story you described fairly recently, but my head was too full of vacation plans to focus on anything that didn't float immediately to mind.  I thought I might make some headway on Dead Confederates while I was on vacation, but I really didn't read that much, even on the train (although I managed to keep up with my WIPs).  We were packing a lot into all our days and I was exhausted keeping up with my daughter.

Yes, the coast is usually a lot cooler than anywhere else in California during the summer, but also not as cold in the winter. The average temperature in summer in SF is 65 degrees.  The average temperature in winter in SF is about 65 degrees.  And Napa can get really hot.  But it is usually a dry heat.  So it is pleasant as long as you are in the shade.

Table grapes are a whole different type of grape that is mostly grown down towards Bakersfield.  I've tasted some wine grapes and they can be very sweet and flavorful.  But they get more for them as wine grapes - about $2,000 per ton in Napa - than they would as table grapes. I think Napa is the most expensive for grapes. A ton of grapes makes about 165 to 200 or so gallons of wine.

Texas is much cheaper overall than California. Even though Houston has one of the highest government pay rates in the nation.  But that is because the oil companies pay well.  It is crazy though.  But there are parts of California that are much cheaper than others.  You just hit all the expensive areas.  I live in a cheap area.  The difference? There is not much one can do where I live.  I mean, we have shopping and restaurants, but nothing that would make you want to come out here.  Especially now that they stopped flying the shuttle.  Every once in a while it would land out here and things would get a little exciting.  ;D

I had actually forgot about it, but someone over on Facebook said they were looking for it for me.  So I started with the HS fics I read on Twibrary and there it was.... :D  :D :D

Would anyone have any recommendation on Bella/Edward fanfiction where Bella goes to another world where the Cullens exist like Imagination Land by Daddy's Little Cannibal or The Book Of Twilight by  LoveTwiGirl?

Would anyone have any recommendation on Bella/Edward fanfiction where Edward bullies Bella and they fall in love later on or he bullies her then she got turned into a vampire?

Would anyone have any recommendation on Bella/Edward fanfiction where Edward is a ghost?

Thank you.

I haven't read the 2 twifics you mentioned but this one fits the other world theme and it's very good
"Written in the Stars by LissaBryan
Edward is king of a dying race, his planet torn by civil war. Bella is abducted to become his bride. From college student to Queen... Can she learn to love this strange man and help save his people?"

This is not a vampire story but fits the bullying, very good too, it's also a published story:
"Fourteen by Crimsonmarie
High school is brutal. It's even worse when you're not a size two. Worse than that? Having a major crush on the biggest, hottest jerk in high school. Even worse than that? Being paired up with him for a science project."

You can find them in FFG's index  :)

Thank you but i have already read Written in the stars by LissaBryan already. It's a good Fanficion.

And for my third request, Edward doesn't have to be a ghost, it could be a fanfiction where human Bella and Edward go to a haunted mansion or supernatural related.

Thank you.

Sounds like an awesome vacation FFG! I can definitely relate wanting to have a vacation to recover from a vacation  :P

Watched Mission Impossible last night and it was action packed and great! It's really cool that Bluegeek got a glimpse of them during the premiere. Would have sceamed my head off if i had seen Tom Cruise in person.   8)
He is also aging very well but i could really tell he was getting older though. I wanted to laugh and be cynical in one early scene when his torso was naked and his hands were tied above him. A sude shot shows he was very stretched up and his stomach was pulled in...i knew it was bec he was tied but couldn't help but think, man, he is really sucking up his stomach.  :P :D For some reason, i never found his torso yummy  :D :D His face though is very nice to look at.

I only know human stories where Edward bullied Bella and they end up together.  This one is a married in Vegas story, but where Edward had bullied Bella in High School, then they find themselves married after getting drunk in Vegas. I went to ffn and did a search in the communities using just the word ghost.  I came up with these communities that have ghosties mentioned in the description.  You might find something in one of them.

All-Human Story Recommendations
Stories I have read that are all-human. They are complete, and a few may have something supernatural, but the characters are human (i.e. seeing ghosts, traveling through time, etc.). All of the other stories in my favorites are supernatural, incompleted, or have yet to be read. I rarely read all-human stories, so these are good. Some are not perfect grammatically, but the story is enough to cover up the mistakes.

Even though the premiere was here, Mission Impossible doesn't start showing here until this week and my husband is traveling, so we won't be able to see it until the following week (if my little man will stay with a babysitter, he has gone back to being a Mama's boy again).   I'll be curious to see if my friend who snuck in with the extras, actually made it on the screen, and it looks like a pretty good movie.

The hubby's gonna go watch Mission Impossible on Wednesday with 6 or 7 of his brothers (the cinema's doing a buy one get one free day) as they've really enjoyed the previous ones, I never watched them so can't comment on them.  ^-^ ;D
But Tom is looking good for his age and I love how he can laugh at himself, when he was on The Tonight Show last week and him and Jimmy were doing the lip sync battle I was laughing so much.

On a totally different note: I finally got around to watching Jurassic World last night, it was a lot better than I was expecting I was even cheering on the T-Rex in the last fight scene.  ^-^

Though it would of probably of been better if Chris Pratt got topless (nude would of been better but with it's rating, that was never going to happen) at some point in it.  :'( :P
I told the hubby this and he just laughed at my excuse of a dinosaur eating his shirt or he had to take it off to help a wounded person.  :D

I grew up south of San Francisco, and didn't know that we had sunfish (mola mola) out there.  I never have been whale watching, but I did see one from shore (but really far away) one time.  My first trip to alcatraz was when my to-be in-laws visited before my wedding, but it was impressive.  A heat wave in San Francisco, wow!

Glad you had a good trip and hope you can recover from your vacation.

I just learned today that my father-in-law, who is 93, visited Alcatraz when it was still a prison!  His father was a federal judge in Oklahoma and handled a caseload in California for a short time.  While in California in the late 1930s, the judge was invited to visit Alcatraz and took my father-in-law with him.  He said they didn't see a lot, but I'm sure they didn't take them in where the prisoners were since the prisoners were supposed to be the worst of the worst.

[emoji14]

Though I think our humidity is less than Texas.   ;D
Good luck hon!! I was having lunch with a friend on Friday... She took the Calif Bar Exam two years ago. I was telling her about you, we were wishing you lots of luck!

Sounds like a wonderfully busy vacation! I'd probably need to sleep for a week if it was me ;)  It's been very hot here the past few weeks, ugh! :'(

Sounds like an awesome vacation FFG! I can definitely relate wanting to have a vacation to recover from a vacation  [emoji14]

[emoji14] :D For some reason, i never found his torso yummy  :D :D His face though is very nice to look at.
I think he looks great!! I actually want to see this MI movie. The last one, Ehhh... Didn't interest me. He's crazy and did the airplane wing scene himself! Watched a behind the scenes video a few days ago, crazy! He broke his arm or something like that doing another stunt. He's still got it ;)

Fingers crossed that it doesn't drag too much having to wait until November. I know I would be climbing the walls while waiting.  :DSounds like you had an awesome vacation hun.
I'm so glad that you said you didn't know what a Mola-Mola was, I had to Google it to find out what they look like and woah they get huge for a fish.
That sucks that you didn't get to see any whales though.

:'( [emoji14]
I told the hubby this and he just laughed at my excuse of a dinosaur eating his shirt or he had to take it off to help a wounded person.  :D

Loved that video! Had me laughing... :) :) :)

Me too!! I saw it last week and I liked it more than I thought I would. Giggled at the heels Bryce was running in during the entire movie ;) Chris was looking good! Definitely agree his shirt should have been sacrificed to the dinosaurs at some point. I was rooting for the T-Rex and raptors too ;) A lot of clever throw backs during the whole movie, I really liked it. :)

I love hearing stories like this... So much history witnessed by so many people.. That's really cool  :)

I'm calling a meeting of the Angst Hoors!    You know who you are!    If you haven't read it yet, or even if you have... pickup The Bronze Horseman and start reading it ASAP!    Thanks to Demaris, *cough* WHERE is she...  I am reading the trilogy again and WOW is it good.  I seriously don't think it can ever be displaced from the #1 spot on my favorites list.

Are you the one reading Outlander? I can never remember what everybody is reading...     If you are, definitely don't tackle TBH anywhere near Outlander.  They are both way too meaty!

If you're not reading Outlander then please please read TBH soon... I seem to remember us having similar tastes in books.   I am not remotely interested in history or war etc and put off reading this book forever and finally got talked into it.    Nothing can ever compare, it's just that good.   This book is the definition of EPIC.
