What are they???
They are meringues, essentially sugar that melts in your mouth
Kristina Sanchez is Lyricalkris, whose fics I absolutely love. I'm pretty sure all the books she's released so far has been OF, I've got all her books but not got around to reading them yet.
Has anyone seen maps to the stars? I swear it's the weirdest movie ever. It's really odd!
I was going to say I owned it but hadn't watched it yet but then I realized I haven't even bought it yet. I'm slipping. Of course its weird - its a David Cronenberg movie - its an allegory (?/take off) of Hollywood. Julianna Moore was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role as the unbalanced actress that he nails in the back seat. She lost to herself by winning for Still Alice. It abounds in weird characters including the psychiatrist's daughter (Mia W.) who's a pyromaniac who's just gotten out of a mental health care facility. Her brother is a spoiled Hollywood brat. Did you ever read any of Rob's interviews on the movie. He admitted Hollywood was weird but if you were lucky you'd find a few well - adjusted people. And while we are talking weird, anyone want to see twigs' new video? You are not allowed to view links. I was going to watch until I saw it was 16 minutes long. Yeah, don't like her music that much.I'm from the early Van Halen school of music - "if it's over 3 minutes, we get bored" So, I had to go to LA for work and stopped at a Walgreen's and this kid (okay, he must have been in his 20's) came up to me and said "hey, I wanted to give you a compliment. You look really nice. Are you staying around here? Do you want to get together sometime?" So, he was fairly good looking, though I wasn't crazy about the neck tattoo, but it was small. But it was really weird. And frankly? He did look kind of gay. Couldn't figure out if he was a scammer or actually serious. Since I am old enough to be his mother, I'm sure. I told him I didn't live there and I was married, and he took off. LOL! So strange. I haven't been picked up in a long time it seems.... Kind of nice.
We get so skeptical as we get older, don't we? I was walking to my car with a friend at the mall when a guy pulled up, looked me up and down and said I looked really nice. Of course, I think I would have been suspicious under those circumstances no matter what my age. But no matter how suspicious of the motives we are, we still enjoy the compliment. We're such girls!
Strange this subject should come up this week on basically the same subject. Our site administrator on InDeath started a thread on the Adult Forum earlier in the week called Cougars Anonymous. I think the conversation is at a stalemate because we can't agree on how old you have to be to be a cougar and whether its okay to be flattered if the guy is 29 and you're 50. At any rate - can I just say to the two of you - be flattered. Plus - there's an ad on either TVLand or MeTV for e-harmony.com - this one has an older couple ( I don't know - maybe late 50"s ?) talking about being attracted to each other and never in a million years did she think she'd be a cougar at her age dating someone younger (to be perfectly honest - he looked older but there is a message there - in fact probably more than one message.)
I actually do like younger men. But I prefer them to be out of their 20's. And yes, my husband is about 4 years younger than me!
Well, we know there's at least one exception to that "out of their 20s" rule!
Well, this is true. Though if he actually tried to pick up on me? I don't know.... But the fact that I might not date him doesn't stop me from admiring him.
If he even looked at me a little too long (RP) I'd be on him like that guy following you around in Walgreens...lolHe'd def. call security.I guess age makes us doubtful..I.e is the compliment really genuine? I always look around to see if they're really talking to me or someone else. I remember once when I was with my son, maybe 6 months ago some random guy said you look really sexy...my son stopped, looked at the guy and said ...are you seriously hitting on my mom? Course I laughed and felt flattered then jumped my son because, I mean, really, was he trying to say his mom was not attractive? Yes, FFG, more weird than Cosmopolis. Maps is on Cmax, so if you guys have it check it out
I think it was the strange way he tried to compliment me. I've had guys flirt with me and give me compliments, but he was a little strange. But otherwise, I think it is great when someone says something nice to me. Though, I think it probably embarrassed your son Kids never see their parents as sexy people. It is just weird.
