Holy cow, no one has been in here for days!!!! I had to back and check to see if I've been receiving notifications or not.....I just knew there was a glitch somewhere. So let me tell you what's up with me since y'all ain't talking.I'm on vacation in Myrtle Beach...sucks..it's raining. The most excitement I've had is looking from my balcony and hearing someone yell shark. 'Course hubs dashed inside for his binoculars...yeah, no shark in sight. Hubs not too happy, he was hoping for some action. We head to Asheville tomorrow....hope it's gonna get better.

Yeah, I don't think I'm a member of that group. Too many rules. I was looking and most of the ones I'm a member of are closed but not secret. Just a few. And one is the Twiilight Fanfic Recommendations, which is run by the woman who runs the You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login site - which is a good place to go for recs by type. So this place has been really quiet. I guess school is starting or has started for a lot of you with kids. I've been trying to read my Vampward TBR list, but I keep getting these badly written stories that have an interesting storyline, but I can only read for a while before I can't take misuse of words. And she got a beta. Who apparently can't write any better than the writer. Sigh. Part of the problem is she uses real words. "he trashed all around, throwing his hands to his stomach..." I opened my Kindle to the current page and that was there. So, not quite sure what he was doing - tearing the place apart? Probably meant thrashed.... "he dug his hands into the soft earthy foil - did she mean soil? Sometimes I can't figure it out. And it's only at 35%...... I will never finish this.

It's called Crimson Horizon: Rise of the Vampire Lords by Hylindril. I recently read another by her. It was a decent story but the writing is bad. I'm really wondering if English is not her first language. She writes like someone who uses a thesaurus. Spell check says it's okay, so it must be the right word LOL! It was rec'd as one of those "Bella is a vampire first" stories on Facebook, so I moved it up the list. She is really into acient Greek and Atlantis stories, she adds a lot of stuff from them. It's 63 (F) right now. I just checked. It is going to be 102 by this afternoon. Though I appreciate the coolness because I can use less energy if the house starts out cool, the almost 40 degree difference in temperature is a little crazy.
I totally agree. It's just too epic for me and I'm constantly confused at some points here and there.Supernatural and Fantasy always come first in my list but sadly, I find most are written badly or the storyline is just so plain. Maybe I haven't found the good ones yet.
