ok couldn't wait to get home so am typing this while exiting the theather lol

movie is ok, book waaaay better. it's a different experience when you watch it with other people. it felt like a comedy at the start bec everyone was giggling and squealing during the "moments" we were all waiting for. if you didn't read it, you probably won't get why the reaction was like that.... like the poor boyfriend sitting beside me who whispered to his gf "will ask you questions after" hahahaha

screaming, squealing, giggles abound at the start snd at all known "romantic" moments. very quiet during the sex scenes. over abundance of her boobs and butt, his gorgeous butt etc. but due to censorship here,  big BLACK SPOT near her groin, specially when he goes down on her! wtf, have to download the unedited version!

i liked her. jamie was ok, he really wasn't my choice for grey. didn't realize he had a weird gait when he walks (don't kill me loopy!) he's hot, both of them have killer bods though. chemistry was iffy but it was ok i guess.

will re-read the trilogy as soon as i get home. [emoji13]

again, overall, it was an ok film. was expecting to be disappointed but it was good enough. it ended when she hadn't signed the contract yet so the fck you're sure this franchise will be prolonged  [emoji13]

Sassy, you can find the old threads on fanfiction alley on the home page.  If you go into the fanfiction alley board, try typing "top ten" into search, then change it from entire site to this board.  I haven't tried it, but that's likely to get you some hits.

The idea of grown women screeching and carrying on while watching a film brings me out in a cold sweat....Yep! This is defo a DVD/Download kinda film, if only to see Jamie's butt 

I tried reading MOTU earlier in the month, couldn't do it, ( I don't call that flouncing as I've read FSOG, all three books  ) let me know if now that you've seen the film it enhances the trilogy.

There f*cking well is! But it's incomplete to technically I'm not flouncing as I don't read WIP! That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I'm just relieved I've finally finished it! How it's taken me almost two days is beyond me, but it was really hard going trying to decipher her crazy word usage...No one read it...It will drive a nun to drink.  Back to books for a while I think...I'm Fic'd out.

Watching at the theater heightens the enjoyment of the film, people feeding off the others' reactions. This is why i love going to the movies. 

Does the film enhance the trilogy? For the remaining 2% of the population who haven't read the books but saw the film, it will make you want to buy the books. Which is why i am going to re-read the trilogy again. 

It was educational for me too when i saw the toys in the playroom, the act of tying her up, using the flog etc. When he was braiding her hair while in the playroom, we were all laughing. But i got it bec i read the book and knew the reason behind his actions. Which is why i am re-reading the trilogy. See... vicious cycle. Win-win for Ms. E L James.

I can't bloody remember a thing about those books (hence me thinking I'd read MOTU) but then it's 3 years since I've read them....What do you suggest Booked, should I re-read them before downloading the film?
