I'm too tired to lift my head, so I will just whisper from the floor.

Is there such a thing of being too exhausted and never recovering?

Work has gone absolutely nuts, which I guess is a good thing since no work is just as bad. But damn people. I have been at STUPID hours for a long time. I am now up to 15 hours a day. By the time I get home, I have less than 6 hrs before I have to get up to come to work. I am tired, cranky, and menopausal.

At least I found the new thread. Missed you all and there is no way I will ever catch up. Hope all has been well with everyone.

So, is there anyone else out there that hasn't read Dusty yet? I so wish I had read this back in the day with you guys so I'd have someone to discuss it with! It's killing me and I know there is so much more to come because Bella only recently started high school... Maybe I can find an old thread where you guys discussed it when you read it as a WIP? Did she update every single week? I can't imagine waiting. I'm having trouble even stepping away for necessary bodily functions like eating and peeing. ;-)
So are Closer and Revelry about different characters and not related to Dusty or each other as far as sequels go? Just a similar style of writing by Teambella?

I didn't read it as a WIP I found it when it was on chapter 19 ( I think I mentioned this in my review) and then had to wait around....7 months? For it to complete. And no, they certainly DID NOT update every single week; I think Loopy and I use to curse everyone and their mother waiting for updates!

Closer and Revelry are E/B fics but have nothing to do with Dusty you can just seem the glimmer of Dusty and Bliss within themes of these relationships...

I'm currently reading Edward's Eternal My Heart, My Home. I have one question; is her Britward Oliver Twist? 'Tis'? Really?

I haven't read it yet, in fact I downloaded it to my Kindle a couple of days ago, but I'm on a fic reading break until I finish writing Ride and Prejudice (Imposed and enforced by my Beta

) Don't tell her, but I have managed to sneak some short ones in...like Beggars Banquet by Chocaholic 123, but I don't think I'd get away with reading a 400k word epic without her twigging lol.

Mrs Fassy, I was going to ask if you had your front row tickets for this one yet...I'm struggling to get my head around why anyone would want to make a film about Frank Sidebottom...let alone play the guy.

Lol, I'm not too sure if it's worth going to see or not but this is kinda scary as I was gonna post on here that my Mum has just bought us tickets to go see Frank tomorrow, even though she knows that he freaked me out when I was a kid.

I can't wait to hear Fassy sing though.

Even looking at that pic with Maggie is starting to freak me out slightly, so I've no idea how I'm gonna last the whole film.

Of course, I'll come back with a report on it.

From listening to him on Graham, he has a quite a good voice so I've got high hopes.

When I found myself reading Dusty it was only because I'd seen it in so many of my favorite authors favorites, and it was complete so I read the whole thing in about half a day. I wish I'd been able to talk about this story after I read it, but it actually turned out to be what my first post here was about! I think I've seen demaris mention how it would of been easier to take in as a work in progress than having the complete story in its entirety. Since there were two people writing it, sometimes the tone and writing style doesn't really match up, so you'll have one really nice reflective chapter followed by a narrative of someone that's in a bad place. I'm not one to read WIP stories, but if I had read this while they were posting chapters every few weeks, I'd probably read and let myself ruminate over the chapters and then be cool for the next couple chapters that post, and do the same thing. I'm so bad at trying to elaborate on stories I've read, but a roller coaster is definitely an apt description for Dusty. It's a very long and mentally exhausting ride and by the end of the story I was so done. I don't think I'd been that annoyed over fictional words since JK Rowling went and made Ron and Hermione canon. My poor teenage feelings!

Someone on here pinpointed it for me that Team Bella writes very destructive characters. It seems like she's a fan of Edward and Bella being together, but she just wants to make it real hard for them to get there. The majority of her stories deal with some type of addiction, this is just going by the pulled stories of hers that I've read. Aha Shake being the only exception and honestly the best story, ever.

Closer is basically an entire series dedicated to Edward and Bella being the most self absorbed assholes in the world. I have not read Revelry, but the warning in the summary describes heavy drug use and self harm. Dusty details what happens to spoiled children that make bad choices when parents are absent minded. But really you can't blame parents for your behavior, you just become a product of your environment and are able to get away with a lot more than if say your parents didn't have a trust fund set up for you to waste on absolutely nothing.

Loopy mentioned in the flounced fics thread (on page 45) that there are a lot of stories where's Edward an ass with few redeeming qualities, and I swear Team Bella has him in each story. He's the bad boy~ that every girl loves and wants, but his head is so far us his ass he just can't be bothered to deal with anyone, and that just makes him even more attractive. These are people I would typically avoid in real life, and wouldn't wish on any of my friends or family, but it makes for really good story time!

ALSO I realized earlier this week that I was complaining on the old thread about YellowGlue's Trippin, being way too long and boring, when it was actually another YellowGlue vampward fic that I was getting it confused with. The Worst of the Weather and Rose Like Thunder is 400 pages and the first 160 are from BPOV, and the rest is basically a repeat from EPOV. Trippin' is perfect, amazing, great and all those adjectives.

I'm just surprised none of our American cousins have asked who the hell Frank Sidebottom is, or maybe they've Googled him and are speechless that someone like Fassy would want to step inside that oversize, papier mache head

Normally I read something and either load it to my reading app, or I just make a note of the link on ff.net But I've been flouncing a lot of fics that I pull up with interesting summaries and dull plots, so I started jotting down details in hopes that I'll remember WHY I need to avoid these stories in the future.

I actually read this last year and loved it so much I felt like re-reading it just because. Now that I've joined PTS and found the other stories written by PrettyKittyArtist, specifically Carlie's Eyes, I am blown away by her writing. Snapdragon is a complete departure from the somewhat juvenile tone used in Carlie's Eyes. If I made a soap opera style drama checklist for Carlie's Eyes it would be very long. The plot for Snapdragon seems much more mature and easier to read, with Edward and Bella being a couple in their mid to late thirties, with four children. It's still a little whimsical in its storytelling, because this Edward is an oblivious idiot and I just cannot believe that someone at his age has no clue how catty grown women can be to each other.

This was perfect!! I found it on here, but it's still on FF.net. Bella hates her job and Edward has pretty much checked out emotionally from their marriage. They're in their late 20's in this one and I could relate to a lot of what takes place in this. I didn't even realize I was reading something that was T rated, but I could not recommend this one enough. Normally we read about getting to the finish line on their HEA, but I read so few stories where it's not determined whether or not they'll even get the HEA.

I just got an email from them that they changed something so you can create lists now.

Often such a change alters the page and ffdl has to adjust. I think we'll have to wait for an update for ffdl.

Hi all! New thread? Wow!

So I was just reading a fanfic (and already forgotten title etc... )

Anyway, E/B had a daughter and it was her birthday but they didn't throw a party, because her school had the rule that you had to invite your whole class to a birthday party so no kid feels left out...

Is this for real? Have you ever heard of something like that?

As for the spelling issue, when I was helping my youngest getting dressed this morning, I thought the print on his undershirt was weird...
