Shoot! I was thinking of joining you in the WIP experiment.  But now I'm caught up in Yosemite Decimal which is turning out to be a decent story.  Well, it has kept my attention.  Edward is a bit of a jerk at first.  Though some of it is just Bella's perception.

I really enjoed Yosemite Decimal.
I just finished Somewhere Between etween Crimson and Blue by antiaol and it was pretty good.  The characters are written well and Bella is a little older than Edward.

After eighteen years at home and a year in the dorms, reclusive, shy boy, Edward, is finally living on his own, prepared to enjoy his life of quiet and solitude. When his path crosses with a vibrant, vivacious and older Bella, sparks ignite and he's immediately intrigued and drawn to her. Hey Mernzi! Where have you been hiding? I've been away in Mackay for much of this week and terribly busy and have much to catch up on here. I am relieved to see how many pages have been added this week - I have a secret fear that at least half of this board is just me raving on!

I wish I was hiding! Had such a busy month. Hubs and I thought it would be a great idea to become owner builders to save money as we're building our dream home. That was almost 2 years ago, so yeah NO it wasn't a great idea hence why we and the 3 kids have been living in a 60 sqm granny flat in my parents place for 10 MONTHS!! So now that its close to completion I haven't had a lot of time for other things. Add to that, our beautiful turquoise Indian ring neck parrot Sinatra decided to break my children's heart by flying away. I chased that bloody bird for an hour before I lost sight of him. The little ones and I spent a few weekends letter dropping little lost flyers all around the neighbourhood. And last but not least, when I did get some free time my internet connection was down (bloody Vodafone!).

Phew. Sorry about that. Got a bit carried away lol

Anyhoo - how was your Mackay trip?

I'm really glad we decided to buy a repo rather than building our own.  And we lucked out in that our home was pretty much move in ready after a quick clean.  Well, it does need painting on the inside.  But it wasn't too  bad.  At least all the toilets and light fixtures were there.  Probably because they are the ugliest light fixtures I've ever seen.  Sigh. 

Sorry about your parrot though.

Well house prices in Sydney are ridiculous. The place we bought was burned to the ground so we got it for a reasonable price and decided to build. I wanted to build a single storey, hubs wanted a double and I lost. I wish we would've bought a house that needed a little reno instead. This build has caused so much stress on our relationship. Somedays I can't stand to see him lol!! Oh well, at least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.

Our housing market crashed about 5 years ago.  People were upside down on their mortgages and unable to pay for their houses.  So they give them back to the bank.  Some people are great and just move out.  Others take everything.  I've seen houses with all the appliances pulled out, including built in ovens - usually you leave the built-ins when you move & just take the fridge - toilets pulled out, no lights, walls with holes, pee stained carpets, graffiti on walls... you name it, I've probably seen it over the years.  This is my fourth repo - house repossessed by the bank.  It might be the nicest of the bunch.  But the neighborhood is not as nice as when we moved in. 

But my husband and I still argue about things.  Mainly that the 3 car garage is not large enough.  And I'd like the ugly lights replaced, but he is tired from work and doesn't want to fix things up.  Sigh.

Finally back at least for the weekend!

Of course in the last 3 pages that I've read I've added something like 5 titles to my TBR!
