I started Entwined with You today and loving it so far.
I've missed Gideon. 
I thought I'd get away with reading it while taking Saxon and my nephew to the park, I got to a certain chapter and the Mum next to me started giving me weird looks.
I didn't realised that I had actually whore moaned out loud - I blaming it on my hormones!!

 

I bet she checked out the title and will be buying it as soon as possible.

Bared to You is book 1 of the Crossfire Trilogy.    In my opinion this series is much better than 50SoG.   At least the writing is better.

I did a speed read of books 1 & 2 to try to get reacquainted with Gideon and my my my I forgot how yummy he was.   
I am laughing at you WM'ing at the park.  I was once at the park with my kiddo when a friend of mine sent me some email about how much she was enjoying reading a certain part about 50SoG and I feel like I blushed immediately.   I had never ever read anything remotely "adult in nature" before 50, so I was a bit shocked to say the least.

Only a short epi is missing, so keep it on alert, all you New Moon haters! I've only read the first 2 chapters and THIS is the way Bella should have reacted to Edwards "We are leaving, you are nothing" speech.

I still haven't read the second one... I remeber liking the first, but when I got my hands on the sequel, I just couldn't get passed the first few pages.

I am reading the latest Coelho right now, but it is a bit of a let down. Like almost everything he wrote after The Alchemist. Also re-read Anna Karenina. The movie was such a disaster (with the exception of Jude Law) that I wanted to remind myself why I liked it in the first place. Beautifully written.

Fic-wise, I am finally reading Wide Awake. So much better than what I expected My only problem: It makes me feel sleepy or/and snuggly. Not to mention all these cookies...

Oh Lordy, pick a bale o' cotton! Wide Awake is in my top 5 for sure. Extremely angsty and emotionally draining towards the end (believe me you'll know what I'm talking about when you get there!) but sooo worth the journey. Tell me what you think when you're done.

I remember talking about 50 shades with a friend on the subway. A guy was staring at us the whole time and then wondered aloud why women are allowed to almost watch p0rn in public places, while men are considered pigs for even mentioning it.    (Fair is fair )

Funny and true!  Because 50 was definitely pron-like and if a guy was watching something that like on his phone I'm sure I'd scowl at him.  This reminds me that once a friend posted a picture on facebook of some random guy sitting at a restaurant bar reading 50SoG.    Talk about strange!  I suppose he was trying to pick up a lady friend who might be into trying out some of the book stuff!

Can you spoil this and tell me if this has an HEA?  Also, does it feel complete without the epilogue, just in case the author never writes it?  I really like the idea of reading a story that takes BxE down a different route than having the baby.  (which is why I really liked LYLS)

Your first line made me laugh.  This is on one of my daughter's kid CDs.   So Wide Awake is that good, huh?  I just read the summary and it looks really good! Need to make sure this one is already on my Kindle.

Well howdy, ma'am!

As I was digging out my maroon scarf to wear today, I thought of you. I hope you are embracing the honorary Queenslander title I bestowed upon you earlier this year. It is indeed a huge privilege that I'm sure you are appreciating today.

For those of you who are confused, today is game 1 of 3 in the State of Origin. It's the closest thing Australia has to a Civil War. Basically, 13 warriors each from Queensland and New South Wales will do battle for their state's honour for 80 minutes from 8:00 tonight.

Actually, they run around carrying a little egg-shaped ball, and smash into each other . . . but they're muscly and fit and they wear tiny little shorts and they get hot and sweaty, and I drink vodka and eat spicy food, so it's all good.

I might not be in any condition to catch you up tonight, Mernzi, so I'm sure someone will step up.

I just realised that we have school photos tomorrow! I didn't plan that well - the principal and teachers with massive hangovers documented for future posterity. 

For anyone who cares, SexylexiCullen completed Riders on the Storm (Storm 3). Yeah! Now I can read the three. I think I heard earlier on PTS that she might be pulling the first one (Quiet Storm) down soon.

Am almost finished with Entwined with you. Just 100 pages to go and am at work, damn it. But I FLOVE IT!    The lemons are just, unf! Marathon man indeed! I sneaked a peek to the last page bec it was mentioned she will turn this into 5 books. based on the last few lines I read, this won't be a cliffy.

After this i will re-read bared to you again.  Agree, this is way better written than FSoG. however, i like the story of Christian and Anna better.

HELLO LADIES!!

I'm not  back from good yet, still have one more essay to go this semester (even though it technically finished last Friday), but have a couple of minutes as someone proofs my current one. So glad it's due tonight so I can watch the STATE OF ORIGIN! Queensland better win after the past few weeks I've had. I don't know if I will be able to deal with it if they lose.

I have a conference tomorrow where I have to present my thesis topic to a whole bunch of academics and post-grads. Then I have to come home and write an essay. I wish I had time to read real books and fanfic, I've read so much on new dialect formation and grammaticisation over the past few weeks that I've pretty much become a walking encyclopaedia.

If anyone tells you that Honours is fun, they're lying to you.
