ok you Techie ladies,

what is the quickest way to convert the files from my kindle to a format supported by Calibre. The ones on my kindle are PDOC files.

Have you tried sending them to amazon for conversion? You can have some formats converted by them for free, send it to your "free.kindle" address, you can find that address on your Manage Your Kindle page. Just attach the file, then put convert(nothing else) in the subject line.

You can also use a program called Mobipocket Creator. I'm running out right now, but I can walk you through that one when I get home if you're interested.

Just catching up on the 152 thread and I CAN'T BELIEVE Lady Gwynedd PULLED HER STORIES. She's one of my favorite authors. I'm sad for all those who won't be introduced to the Mail Order Bride/Bear Valley Ranch saga or Nightingale. I love historical fics, and she writes them so well. Parma High was good too (not historical), but I think it resonated with me so much since I grew up in Florida and know the devastation of a real hurricane. Reading it sucked me back to Hurricane Andrew.

On the up side, she signed on to PTS and gave a shout-out, which I find uber cool.

I don't know why, but when I read ToV as a wip I thought it was angsty as hell....though if I read it again I probably wouldn't think so. I cant even remember which part it was that makes me remember it as angst....something w Lauren maybe?

It is such a good fic though.....the author has a way with words that is almost poetic....and she has excellent music recs

At least thats how I remember it. Though I did just read a fic for the second time that I wasn't nearly in love with as the first time. That happen to anyone else before?

Oh, I loved Tropic of Virgo. But yeah, I wouldn't put in the same angst category as some other fics... It was more teenage angst, a lot of random events, over-analyzed by stupid teens.

and then nothing else really happening? I don't get it. I felt like if anything they regressed as a couple after all that hard work. :-( I guess I like my epilogues to be happy and this was just a year of sadness.

That would make sense. Someone probably told me that but I forgot. I guess I would have ended up reading it anyway. I can't resist knowing more about the characters. What a bummer though.

LOL! Somewhere around page 1537 you probably forgot. I know my version had over 2000 pages.

Definitely a short read.....
