I'm really curious as to how her writing is for OF stuff.  Her fanfics are kind of badly written.  I do love her summaries though, so I keep hoping.  I read Edward's Christmas Headache and it was decent.  But I've heard her Edwards get a little annoying. 

And then again, these may be former fanfics.....

I think the first book is published from her fanfic Bella's Booty Call and she just expanded it into a second book. 

LOL! maybe I will just skip the first 100 pages....  The first chapter just grossed me out.  and when I flipped ahead and saw

I can deal with prior abuse, but not current, if that makes sense.  I liked Wide Awake and Loner.  I like the getting better. It is positive to me. And I need a little humor.   

Lol, that might be a good idea - after a 100 pages there's still abuse happening it's just not so intense or frequent.

No really, it makes me think the story is going for every bad thing that can happen.  I mean really? Why do you need that much stuff to happen to one person?  Does it really make the story better? 

I think that is why I don't read stuff like that.  Also, I have enough nightmares bad dreams without adding to them. Sigh.  Really shouldn't watch CSI before bed.   

They could have made a real nice salad as they were carrots, tomatoes etc invovled!! 
The published version was really tame compared to the fanfic and it ended on a bloody cliff hanger with no signs of sequel being done. 
Maybe it's a good thing you haven't read this then hun as you'd never sleep otherwise.

I checked my Done fanfics and noticed I've never read any work by Silver Blossoms. I recall Tami liked these 2 and have decent ratings in GR so thought I'd give it a try. Do you know if these were fanfics? I know Lyon's Crew was Cullen's crew but haven't read those yet...

OF = Original Fiction

I think Tami is a big silverblossoms fan.  A lot of stories are on the author's blog (link in the Index) and on TWCS (under Jordan Silver or Silver Jordan, I can't remember).

I know Silver Blossom has a fic Called Mountain Man.... and how do I say this.... It was freaking weird and just plain freaky.
I'm with Ella, her summaries are good but come on her writing is just .... bad.

The self-publishing phenomenon is taking over the world.  With everyone doing e-books, it's easy.  With Amazon selling anything and everything, you don't know if you're getting a professional book or...something else.

Sad but true, it is a shame that some of the good books sometimes get lost, with those that aren't even edited very well (with SPaG errors) or that the story sounded good but the author didn't develop the idea very well

That's one of the reasons I dislike Amazon, it is not a bookstore (not anymore at least). I hope they had some stuff simpy scanning the content of some books and mark them accordingly. The science fiction sector used to drive me crazy Of course you can always google the author first, but still you don't know what you get sometimes. I've found self published authors whose books were pretty amazing and I've downloaded books that are plain cr@p. That's why I prefer browsing Barnes & Noble lately.

Yeah, there are some that it is their favorite fic.  But, for me? no.

I love this fic (and it is definitely in my top 10) even though I can read pretty much anything I still find this hard to read and I've read this one several times.
Once you get past the first 100 or so pages the worst of it is over. 
So Mernzi - this might be the one that test your limits after all.   

Oh honey I've already read that one! My limits weren't pushed with TPW and I'm with you Lo, it's one of my faves too.
LucyLu sent me some great recs and I've even created a new folder in iBooks especially for them  will let you guys know if I come across a fic that crosses my line (wherever that is??!!lol)
