*snort* if it wasn't online I'd say "what a waste of paper"

there's one that I have on alert and I swear, each chapter is exactly 100 words, at chapter 60 she said there were 84 chapters left. Just, write the effing thing and move along.

Are you guys talking about the one that was 600 chapters?

It was also close to 1 million words. I would NEVER be able to concentrate on that

I hate hate hate drabbles. I won't even read them. I need 'more'

Off for a little while to read and catch up.
Anyone read Coming through the Rye?

It popped in my head when we were talking about Scots a few pages back. I haven't read it, but my interest is up.

anyone?

Coming through the Rye... Is there a lot of Scotspeak or Britspeak? I haven't read enough of these type of fics to get the language. Some things I do but I don't want to google every second word.

I wonder what kind of time period that fic was posted over. I can't imagine how anyone has the time to write a million words, especially not for a fanfiction.

Comes from a Scottish poem.

Hot professor or not, the idea of sending FF to someone by mistake is going to have me triple-checking my email attachments!

I hate drabbles. Yes it means quick updating, but I'd rather have a decent length chapter once a week than really short ones everyday. I keep seeing so many good summaries for drabble fics lately and I'm drawn in to reading them.. and then I get pissed off by the short chapters :banghead: I won't try to put a drabble on my Kindle again, that was awful.

sometimes, like today, i cant keep focused on anything.

so that is great for wips updates and drabbles.

CaraNo also posted a complete one-shot

Picture Perfect
Author: CaraNo  PM
When you have a college paper to send in, make sure you send the correct file. For the love of God and all that. Then again...Bella can't really regret her little mishap.
Rated: Fiction M - English - Romance/Humor - Bella & Edward - Words: 5,640 - Reviews: 1 - Favs: 1 - Follows: 1 - Published: 01-12-13 - Status: Complete - id: 8900771

Am I the only one hoping CaraNo extends this one-shot so we can find out what Bella wrote in chapter 6 that the Professor so eagerly want to reenact?   ^-^

I read this a while ago - I thought it was good - based on Green Card I think.  If I remember correctly he calls her something in Scottish which is not revealed until the end.

See, that's the problem I had - I was getting them mixed up and couldn't find the summary.  It is the one based on Green Card but not the one with the name then.

Official Description:
“I’d never been one of those women who found foreign accents sexy until I met Edward. Now, even plaid made me horny.” Bella is in love with her best friend, Scottish expat Edward, and she’ll do anything for him. Anything. AH. E/B.

Somebody recommended drotuno earlier.  I remember reading and liking her stories in the past so I am trying one I hadn't read.
It is not all light and fluffy and is quite a long read.  I am enjoying it so far.

I was wondering which parts were true and which were fiction.  It'd be pretty hot if it was all true!  Lucky bitch!

I had already read those - something in the summary for this one put me off initially though.  It's better than some of the stuff I've read recently.

Chapter 6 was the date chapter, I thought? Because he said he wanted to do that one and she got all excited because in her fic it'd been the start of the professor and the student's relationship.

Yes, it was the date chapter.  I wanted to see how B wrote the date out.  I smiled silly that he was so eager to go on the "date" next and cute when Bella thought he might have mixed up the chapters.
