Ah fucksticks! I didn't know it was Mamasutra... she's got like 12 stories on the go! I'm gonna have to rethink this one.

I would start drinking as well! Let them get a cab!

I wish! There are no cabs out here, unless you're travelling back into town, and even then you need to pay a booking charge. I'm only 10km (6 miles) from the main city centre, but it's classed as being "out of town".

I was browsing the story summaries this morning trolling for new stories and I keep finding summaries with misspellings. It doesn't matter how interesting the storyline might sound, I just can't make myself click that link to look any further. It scares me.... ^-^
anyone else feel this way or is it just me??

It used to bother me a lot more, but sometimes the really good stories, and the well-written ones have errors in the summary. I think sometimes the summary must be written quickly just to get the story up, and it isn't proofed  by the author or the beta. The same with the author's notes - some of those are full of SPaG errors!

I'm reading Offside, and if I let the SPaG errors get to me, I would have flounced after the first chapter, but it's a really good story.

Who am I kidding? I can't flounce!  :D

:D My SIL is Scottish and when she married my brother a lot of the men wore kilts. For some reason (probably lots of scotch whiskey), her cousins had to climb up the poles in the marquee.

Yep, we all learnt what a Scotsman wears under his kilt that night!

It was the highlight of the wedding!

Gerard Butler in a kilt, playing with his sword... ;)

And just Gerard Butler:

this would be a good Taylor Swift song.

Mamasutra might be the Taylor Swift of FF! Maybe every time she has relationship issues, she knocks out another heartfail story.

As anyone seen Water For Elephants? I read the book ages ago, but I've not seen the film..

I watched it on a flight to Hong Kong last year, and then a few more times on my DVR.  Sometimes I just "Breaking Dawn watch" it - you know...fast forward, pause, slow motion but it's a lovely movie, and Rob is at his hottest.

It's funny - the movies he is most famous for (Twilight...duh!) are the ones where he is at his fugliest (well, as fugly as Rob can be  :-[) and don't showcase that he can actually act (somewhat *ducks and hides* and do more than look constipated.

Perhaps spending all that time with Slapped Arse Face effects his bowels!  :-\

Question - are there any good Vetward fics?
I know there is a WIP where Bella is a vet (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login - very slow to update, but a good read - I have been skimming. I started this when I still read WIPs back in 2009).

Snort. I have seen everything he has done, except Little Ashes

I liked Little Ashes, and I kinda liked Remember Me.
I'll put my hand up and admit, while hiding behind my sofa, that Robert Pattinson is a visually stimulating young man, his acting, leaves me markedly less stimulated....* placing a call"Witness Protection programme? Yes, do you have space for one more?"*

Ditto on the acting. I did like Remember Me - it made me cry, but I was confused by Cosmopolis - but that could be because I turned the volume off, fast forwarded through the talking bits and just watched it like p orn  ;).

I'm a bit worried about one of my dogs. He is getting so fat.
Are you dog people or cat people?

I'm not a pet person (allergic to cats - even the non-allergenic ones!), but somehow I ended up with my sister's (Chihuahua/mini foxy cross - small man's syndrome and a major horn dog, even after the snip. He had an Elmo toy and a lamb rug that he liked to rape. I liked to pretend he was gay, and dressed him accordingly.) and my brother's (chocolate Labrador - most beautiful and happiest dog in the world) dogs until they got old/sick and I was the one who had to make the decision to pull the plug. It destroyed me and I have vowed never to love an animal again.

Every time I walk past a pet shop, I have to remind myself of this vow, and about how much I am away from the house.

Both dogs were fatties, but I put them on diets (except when the Chihuahua would steal the Labrador's food) and took them for long walks every day. I was living in the residence at the school I worked at, so the dogs played with the kids every day and were really active so they trimmed down pretty quickly...once I trained the kids not to feed the dogs!.

Labs are huge eaters - they need to be watched really carefully. Try to sneak in cooked veges.

I wonder what dogs dream about?

The lab used to sing in her sleep! The Chihuahua would pin Elmo to the floor, lie on top of him and hold Elmo's mouth closed with his jaws! He was a sexual deviant!

I'm not a fan of small dogs, they bark too much.

And I can't even think about them dying. They own me completely. Especially my chow.

I'm a computer genius. It's just a skill I have. ;)

I cut and paste the quotes in. It's either that and one long reply, or 150 bajillion replies.

I find one long one is better (aren't they always  ;)) when I'm a heap of pages behind because the new reply takes me to the most recent post, not where I was up to and I lose my place.

I might be a bit remedial... :(

Writing to offer a bit of home to a soldier overseas, she discovers words can bind a friendship. Lonely in war torn Europe, he finds hope in letters from a stranger. What happens when the war is over?

She last updated on Veteran's Day.

I read some vetward. But I can't remember the name of the fic.

I think the one I read where Edward is the vet, when they are getting ready to get married they buy a pink house? Or purple.

There is also another one where Bella is the vet. And she takes the dogs to the library, for a reading group. Edwards daughter is there. I think his ex wife was Kate.  I'm terrible with names.

I'm gonna have to catch up and do a run down like Astro but does anyone know how I can add more than one "quote" to reply on the iPad?

Otherwise I'm gonna have a squillion posts!

Sorry - I'm a computer genius, not an iPad genius.

However, when I was stuck on my iphone:
I opened one window with my reply,
then in another window I opened a reply to the post I wanted to reply to, copied all the of text (from {quote author= to /quote}, (ETD - square brackets instead of the curly ones, because PTS is putting a quote there!)
then I pasted all of that into my original reply box.

Then repeat until you're done. Just watch the [...] brackets are around what you're quoting or you end up replying in a quote.

Shit! Can you believe I'm a teacher! With instructions like that it's amazing the kids I teach can even count!  :-[

I think I've read the pink house one too - it was a o/s? And they end up having a heap of puppies? It was good - I wish I could remember it's name!

The Bella one sounds like the one I mentioned:

Question - are there any good Vetward fics?
I know there is a WIP where Bella is a vet (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login - very slow to update, but a good read - I have been skimming. I started this when I still read WIPs back in 2009).

One Question. How the Hell do you get all these inserts quote options, when I'm on the "post reply" section I get 6 or so at the most....

Not only is it Mamamsutra but I believe it's drabble...she seem to like drabble recently, which is as annoying as hell!

I'd take Butler in a kilt, quilt or birthday suit, I'm not fussy  :D

I don't think I've turned my TV on since before Christmas...

I think SavyB is talking about you dobbing her out for being a fic writer...I'm a stirrer  :D

It's all good. :)
I figured since I've read so much I should right something, write Astro? *giggles*

I've got this on my watch list. Do you think she'll update? After 2 years?
