Been having a quick look at the author's profile.  Anyone read anything else by her?  Some of them look quite good.

Everything she write is good.

But volition, for me, is her best work. It reads like a book, not fanfiction.

She's good. I've read Rise, Starry Eyed Inside (which is a really good, really appropriate HS fic) and the Fall. She is a very competent writer.

Oh I am so lovin this, I thought it was just me!  I was a fanficoholic when I arrived on this site.  I was directed here and only came to ask for a fic that had been taken down.

Next thing I know I am drowning in fics.  Every time someone puts something up I have to take a look.  I don't think I will ever be cured, and my TBR list will never get read at the rate I am adding to it. ;D

My ONE goal for my summer holidays was to reduce the number of fics in my TRB list! Instead, every time someone has recc'ed, I've emailed the link to myself. I'll have hundreds of emails to work through when I get home, and no doubt hundreds of new fics on my TBR list! :banghead:

I have loved everything written by RochelleAllison. If Volition doesn't appeal, give Air a go. Even her Fictionista Workshop fics are good - I had avoided them for ages!

I'm reading Illicitus Amare now, even though I know it's incomplete. I wish I had the strength that so many of you have to flounce but once I start, I see it through and I'm already not liking this one. The subject matter is certainly thought provoking (consensual incest), but this Edward is just manipulative.

Demaris, did you read Forbidden? No comparison between this fic and that book.

I have been getting confused about what fic we are talking about and find I sometimes have to track back to keep up. Does anyone read the subject line? I'm going to try to put the title of the fic I'm talking about in the subject line. Maybe I'm just being OCD, but let me know if this will annoy anyone and I'll stop.

I like your OCD!  Please go ahead and put the title in the subject line.  I always mean to, but then I always forget!

My goal is to finish up some of the many series (talking real books here) that I'm in the middle of. We'll see how that goes!

It must be old age! If I can't even remember the fic we're talking about I probably won't remember to change the subject line either! :-[

Now, where did I put my glasses and keys...?

I'm a huge Flounce P u s s y. I said this afternoon that I was flouncing TWBB, did I? Nope, still reading! I just can't do it...unless it's CW&IA  :D :D

I haven't read Forbidden, I downloaded it but it's sitting there on my iBook shelf along with 50 other books; is Forbidden the p2p version of Illicitus Amare?

I think changing the subject box to correspond with a fic we're reccing or reviewing makes really good sense Astro, easier to find and to keep track of, and I try but most of the time I forget!  :D

I have come to the conclusion that the only way to get through my TBR list is to stop visiting this thread, because I leave with about 5 recs every day which means I'm in a losing battle between me and my Calibre, Calibre is in fact kicking my a*se. Hard. And as that is not going to happen, I'd miss ya all too much, I'm making a notation in my Will that my laptop and iPad be buried alongside me when I pop my clogs because at this rate no matter how long I live I doubt I will have finished all the fics I'm collecting.

Demaris, so help me! You will finish CWIA if it kills me... no joke.

Putting the title in the subject line is a good idea and we know to do this but we never remember.  :-[

I need an awesome fic. I'm not happy that I can't find anything to read. I'm not a fan of Rochelle Allison. I don't really like her stuff. I think I've flounced all her fics.

~No, no. I'm laughing at you not with you~

That is how I came to this site.  I needed to read CW&IA and couldn't find it.  I did read it and TMoBS and really didn't see what all the fuss was about.  I thought it was O.K.  I know I have probably pickled a lot of people off with that comment - sorry.  Although in it's defence it was 3 thousand times better than MoTU.
I am struggling to find something decent to read too.  Any comments on My Wounded Soldier by counselor?

Have you read Color of Loneliness? I mentioned it earlier, it's a good story but what makes it is Bella's best friend. She's so funny!

Speaking of funny, I just spent the last couple of hours tinychatting (a group Skype) with friends which consisted them trying to find the worst lemons in fanfiction and then reading them out. I don't think any of them believe there's any decent writing in fanfiction after that :D

Rickell - My Wounded Soldier is a great period fic. I really liked it and Edward is lovely.

Thanks, I'll give it a bash.  It can't possibly be any worse than some of the shite I have subjected my brain to in the past few days!!

I don't like counselor. It's the writing. I've heard great things but flounced the fics I tried to read.

Unfortunately EP has set the bar extremely high and I wish I could find fics that I absolutely love like this one. Tarasueme is another author I compare others to. I have turned into a fic snob. It's horrible :(

And almost every fic is 3 thousand times better than MoTU.

When you say EP do you mean Emancipation Proclamation?  If so, I loved it.  Did she/he? write anything else?
