I had a friend who's mother became a grandmother at 38.  Needless to say, she was not at all happy  :P

There are a lot of people who will follow you in the hopes you will follow them back. I don't follow back until they interact with me or if I see that they don't spend their time tweeting:
"check out my great webpage where you can see me n u d e!"
"I will bee your girlfriend"
"click on this link and it will take you to great deals!"

Yeah, no... I will not follow you.

My aunt was a grandmother at 31 - so I really should know better!

So just to clarify again - because I really am as dumb as dogshit -

If I tweet, only my followers see it, but I can reply to someone I follow who doesn't follow me or tweet to someone I follow who doesn't follow me if I put their handle thingy in the little box before I type.

Does that sound right?

LA could be Los Angeles - usually looks like L.A.  otherwise it is Louisiana.

Oh - that's as clear as mud then! We don't use . in abbreviations any more over here!

And we call a . a fullstop - it grosses me out when I hear them called periods!

(My inner 11yo boy doesn't handle girl stuff!)

Depends.  I am not private. So anyone can read my tweets.  Depending on how you set up your Twitter page, you will only see people you follow OR you can set it to look at general tweets that are happening all the time. Friday nights 6-9 EST is #wineparty  You drink whatever, and tweet with the #wineparty hashtag (a hashtag is a single word that can be many words without spaces which follow a # sign)  People will follow #hashtags during sporting events or other things and you can see everyone's tweet about the event.  It can be a lot of fun.

LOL a fullstop is necessary so you don't get L.A. mixed up with LA  :D :D :D :D

Usually, though, we don't bother with the fullstop either.

:D :D :D Period makes me giggle, it took me a little while to figure out everyone was talking about fullstops not the rag when I was first introduced to American English.

To counteract that one though; my mate who grew up in the US still can't get used to hearing 6 year-olds in her classroom asking each other for rubbers, which is what we call 'erasers' in Aus. When she first heard it (not in her Prep class, but in a year 6 class) she legit thought they were asking each other for condoms!  :D

Ha! Year 6 kids in Australia would just ask for a condom!

Fullstop makes me think of Star Trek - "Full stop Mr. Data.  Proceed at impulse power"

Wait! 6 yr olds use rubbers? ? ? ? ? ???

Tehehe. Year 6 kids (so 11-12 years old) would just ask for condoms if they wanted them; depending on the school they may have already leant how to use them in S ex Ed. 6 Year olds (so kids in Prep; I think in the US you call it Kindergarten) would ask to use a rubber, which is what we call a pencil eraser in Aus. So they're not really asking for condoms, they just make a mistake and need to rub it out.  :D :D :D

In high school we had condom blowing up competitions in S ex Ed, after they had taught us how to use them on these fake bananas that you could unscrew and inside was a dildo! But if that was too much for the poor delicate children you could just leave it looking like a banana. Those things were hilarious.

Ok? So how do I follow a hashtag?
I usually use Tweet Deck on my PC so I will have a column in which I search for the #hashtag

But I think you can search on Twitter as well using the tag - so I searched #Robp0rn which gave me one tweet by Deb with this lovely link

4 year olds use rubbers. They might even use them before that, but usually they don't care about mistakes at that age.  ;)

Yep - we rub it out everywhere - but we always use a rubber when we rub it out.

*shakes head*  It just sounds so dirty ;)

Though really? Rubbers sometimes mean galoshes here.  As in rubber boots.  But you don't hear it as much anymore.  When I was a kid, my grandma would call them that.

This is what happens when everyone wears thongs everywhere!

It was too wet last week to wear thongs - I did see a lot of people wearing rubbers though.

We call them gum boots or wellies though!

When I was young, thongs were flipflops also. Actually, they were all thongs.

Thongs didn't become underwear until I was older. That's when the footwear became flipflops.

Your thongs are our G-strings. If you called it "a thong" people would know what you were talking about - or they would think you had a lisp and wanted to sing something!

We have friends from Holland who call thongs - slippers. Slippers are what you wear on your feet in winter - mine are hot pink and fluffy and soft and awesome and I wish I could wear them all day in winter but I can only wear them for about 3 weeks every year and even them, sometimes they make my feet too hot if I wear them during the day.

My relationship with my slippers is almost illegal. I love them.

I know where mine are - even though I haven't needed them in 6 months and won't need them for another 5, they are always there waiting for me.

I need a man like that!

Just not quite so pink!

Length is pretty good though!

Change of topic - I searched for #robporn and there are heaps! I should be reviewing my science and maths programs in case I can get to work tomorrow - instead I am reviewing Rob!

So I'm sitting inside with all the doors and windows closed because flood water and sunshine do not make for a pleasant aroma...

I have the air con on, scented candles lit and my ipod is playing Sunday afternoon easy listening...

I hear a whipper-snipper start up!

And it's close!

I grab my phone and race out into the back yard!

I gag because of floodstink and then realise that the whipper-snipper is coming from the front yard!

I race back through my house and into the front yard!

WTF!

SNB is wearing full-on safety gear! Long pants, long-sleeved shirt, wide brimmed hat, wrap-around sunglasses, ear plugs - the works!

Maybe he's on to me!

I'm glad that he's being sunsmart and safe but it leaves EVERYTHING up to the imagination.

I bet the old bitch over the back scared him off!

What do I have to look at now!

Maybe he'll strip down again when the weather cools off

Anyway - the things I do for my PTS Gals!

I got some pics...and learnt that iphones are not meant for stealth stalking.

PM me for where to send the bail money!

I'll try for SNB on his motorbike next  ;)
