I think that Rob became more like what I pictured Edward to be like - but the first movie had already come out when I read Twilight.

(And he was so young in the first one - very teenager-ish. He looks older in the other movies (duh!) and I didn't feel so pervy watching him!)
Lol, I know what you mean about perving on him, at least now my daughters old (14) enough to join in with me on it - which is kinda weird.
The only other peep we both like is Jason Statham or as we call him "The Stath".  ;) :D

Living in Australia, the one thing I am envious of is our lack of history. Australia was only settled in 1788, and it was pretty much only a penal colony (not penile!  :D) for the next 50-odd years until the Gold Rush. While our indigenous Aboriginals have a rich and diverse cultural heritage of 40,000 years, they were nomadic tribes and there are no buildings as a record of their history.

I love the architectural history throughout Europe. We might have stunning geographical sights but I'm jealous of the architectural landmarks of other countries. I went to Neuschwanstein Castle a few years ago (on its coldest day in 80 years!) and while it is a "newer" castle, it was still awesome - like something off the pages of a fairytale.

I need to start saving for another trip to Europe to see everything I missed - 10 weeks just wasn't long enough! And it feels like it takes almost 10 weeks to travel there from here! Singapore to London is a looooong flight!

In between shivering bouts I have continued reading the first in the angel series - I think the reason I flounced it the first time is because it is so damn long.  I am only about halfway through and there are 3 sequels!
It is well written though.

I'm so jealous! I was telling DD earlier I've only been to France, Spain and Turkey as far as European travelling goes. Ireland, too. Seeing as the boy isn't interested in going anywhere, my options are basically travel alone or don't go. I feel like travelling alone would be really intimidating though!

I haven't read that and probably won't, given the length. Hope you feel better soon though :-*

I still have problems to see the Twilight characters like the film cast. They all look so different in my imagination! But I also didn't know any of the actors before, except Rob from Harry Potter...

And you are right, the make up and hair was bad... :o
I had seen Kristen in Panic Room & I love Peter in Nurse Judy.  But otherwise? Rob is close to my Edward Kellan is fine, Elizabeth is fine with the wig when she wears it. The rest? Yeah, not my idea of who should do their parts.  Oh, Charlie is perfect.

I was watching BD1 the other day & Esme didn't have her wig on. What's sad is Elizabeth looks so much better with lighter hair. Her natural color makes her look old and washed out. Esme's color makes her look young and vibrant - it lights up her face. She should really color her hair that color.

LOL, I live in Europe and love the history here - old churches, castles and ruins everywhere you look. You would need more than a lifetime to see "everything". We always laugh when we see tourists from Japan or U.S. with a travel guide called "Europe in 14 days" or something like that. A friend of mine had a colleague visiting from Mexico and who asked "Is 10 days enough for Europe, it looks small on the map?".  :D  On the other hand, I dream of visiting Australia some day, but it is sooo far away and I cant take a longer break from work, 3 weeks is my max. at one time.

I agree! Have been to France, italy, UK (honeymoon gift 18 yrs ago), italy, spain and amsterdam (2011) and i just loved seeing the sights. Worth the 14-16 hour flight! I envy you Astro for staying 10 weeks! The most we could do was 2 weeks. You must have visited a lot of countries. Must win the lottery so we can bring the kids next time  :D Would love to see Germany, Switzerland, Greece... sigh... Too many places to go to but not enough money to do it  ;D

You are in Europe already so the flights won't be as long and not as costly... Go for it while you're young!  :)

Yeah, Charlie was good. ;) Kellan? One of the characters I have to keep in mind that he is supposed to be a young teenager (in Twilight Jacob is 15), so with that long hair he looks really really young.

I have to ban the actors from my mind when I read non-canon stories. LOL Otherwise some just are a very big ewwwwww...

You are soo right. Living in a city with tons of history, we are swamped with tourists throughout the year. That's fun, but lots of them look exhausted. Especially those with the guide books titled "Germany", which are big as a brick, heavy cameras and huge bags (I always wonder what they are carrying in there). ;) Doesn't sound like a fun vavation to me...

I'd love to see Australia one day... but we'll have to wait till the kids are older, such long flights are not possible at the moment... one of us would be arrested, I'm sure!

I was just having a pretty awesome dream about myself and Daryl from The Walking Dead, we were getting romantic (not sexitimes, just romantic, with serious potential), when a fricking HUGE horde of zombies attacked where we all were.

Damn talk about going from fuckawesome to terrifying in no time flat! We were making out (first kiss and declaration and everything) when a zombie came up. We kinda laughed for a second about being so wrapped up in each other we didn't notice, when suddenly, there were like, hundreds. If you saw that episode of the show were the farm was taken over? like that!
