I just started The Screamers - it's pretty funny so far

I've been meaning to read The Screamers for a while now; for some reason i thought it was angsty. I read and really liked the two CaraNo stories you mentioned. And if you like gay Jake you should totally read One of the Boys; you'll also find "gay" couple edward and bella (she's pretending to be a boy).

I just found this pulled fic called The Caged Bird Sings by Suzie55, and it's really good so I'm uploading it in case anyone wants it.

I have had Grasping Darkness by KiyaRaven on my TBR list for ages and finally bit the bullet and started reading in Sep/Oct 2011. It is not complete...only an epi to go, but I wanted a hawt vamp fic for the halloween season and decided it was time. It has been in progress for almost two years which is why I had not started before now. I know the author is working on publishing some of her original work presently as well.

Grasping Darkness is now my fav vamp fic EVER and goes on my best of the best list. Once the epi posts which she hoped it would be in early 2012, I will re-read.

Because I loved it so much, I also added Screamers and Diva Diaries to my TBR list. I saw several of you mentioning both, but not Grasping Darkness that I had read. It is a MUST to add to your list. Either I am getting thicker skin, or I did not really find Grasping Darkness that angsty. It is the classic Edward vamp/Bella human, but GAHHHHH. The way she writes it, you feel his torture of lust for Bella and her blood. I was always a sucker for Epov since Midnight Sun was my fav in the series, but Kiya.....good gosh that girl can suck you in.

Sorry. Kinda got off track - bottom line......read Grasping Darkness....we are almost at the end.

Uhm... speaking about dark/angsty fics, I started reading "Untouchable" a while ago. Its author wrote "Eye contact", a wonderfull and beatifully written story, very profound and mature, so I was pretty sure about this one too.

What a mistake! Untouchable is the epitome of angst and there are parts so cruel and hard I had to stop reading. It made my stomach churn, literally. So this one went straight to my 'Not to be read list'
