I'm learning that it is just way to devastating when a WIP gets pulled or abandoned... it literally breaks me

Yes, me too!

And when I first started reading fanfiction a year and a half ago, I wasn't smart enough to know to look at the dates of the last update. I'd go along reading, thinking "I love this story" and it would get to the good part & boom - no more chapters. No more updates. Abandoned.

We won't talk about the sleepless nights while my brain tried to make an ending for the story.

I'm kind of disappointed with Janet Evanovich right now. I want some sort of resolve with the romance in the Stephanie Plum series. She gave an interview where she said that her formula for the books works and she doesn't plan on changing that formula any time soon. I just want Stephanie to pick Joe or Ranger already. It's grown tiresome now. $:-\$

I don't live far from Trenton NJ and I really like the books because I know exactly where she is talking about. "The 'Burg" is an actual area of Trenton. One of the very few that I feel safe in .

*whispers* I'm a Babe girl myself. Though I wasn't sure I liked either of the guys on One for the Money movie. Though Katherine Heigl was okay as Stephanie

Yeppers The only time I get annoyed is when I can remember the plot line but not the name Then I'm up shit's creek cause I can't find anything

Sometimes the search function works on Windows for me. But most of the time, yeah SOL when I can't remember the name or author.

Sadly, I am one of the few cupcakes on this earth. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Ranger, but she and Morelli are destined for each other. Personally though I think she should just leave them both and become her own woman. *shrugs* LOL!

grrrr I have a plot that has been driving me nuts I can't remember the name or who its by but what i remember of it is that its a jasper/bella story. The cullens leave like normal and bella becomes depressed, she take the jump off the cliff and i remember she had hypothermia and a heart attack so she then has a weak heart and can't become over excited which later makes it hard to come to the decision to change her because they don't know if she will survive. I remember she at one point goes home with jasper to his childhood home in Texas and meets up with peter and charlotte and I remember they celebrated chirstmas with the cullens at one point because they went out and cut down a tree.

Another one is where Bella and Peter are actually Angels Bella has no memory of this until her and Jasper start getting together and her memory starts coming back, and she remembers that she use to visit him in his dreams when he was younger.

I know what fic you mean. Give me a bit and I'll see if I can remember it. I think I have it in calibre. Oh, and check these Jasper and Bella fics out...

I'll see if I have more. I know I have one where Jasper and Bella get together but Alice is the bad guy all along.

Wow, i dont check in for 2 days and i find i have to catch up with over 12 pages in this thread

So many comments, is it ever too late to reply to them? You girls hve raised so many issues i would want to discuss in RL but dont know of anyone into ff. Hope you dont mind so here goes the newbie...
- i also dont like WIP. I tried to read a few recs but i couldnt bear not knowing what happens next so i've stopped trying and just take note of the recs so i can go back to it when its completed
- rape and cheating are hard limits for me too. I was reading the first few chapters and i thought it would be a good one bec it started with E and B in a bar and it seemed they were pretending not to know each other. But you get some clues like their "matching wedding bands" etc. i thought they were married to each other and just having a break from their RL doing role play. Was sadly disappointed E was with Tanya and Bella was with James.
- i do realize how young some of the writers are when they use the wrong word... "Shutters" indeed. It always puts a smile on my face bec i know what they meant to say but couldnt spell it right. Still envious of them though that they had the guts, time and talent to write a story.
- am curious to read the perfect wife after all the comments but if its too angsty and rape is involved... Well i can download and see when i'll get around to reading it

Also? It has RPattz in it. I'm not normally a big fan of real people in fanfiction, but he is so funny. It is an E/B with an HEA, so no Bella/RPattz.

I'm looking for a story where Bella is a teen actress. She gets tired of the limelight and moves to Forks to live with her aunt Esme and cousin Alice. She meets Edward and brings the whole gang to a red carpet event in Hollywood. Renee is her manager. There is mention of several actors that Bella is friends with.

She and Edward declare their feelings for each other while the girls are watching Titanic.

Eventually Edward breaks up with Bella since she can't be an actress in Forks and thinks he's doing it for her. She wants him back.

It's a HEA and I think she ends up living in Forks for good at the end.

I'm also looking for a story where Jasper is a God of War and there is a spiritual war going on. Bella is some kind of angel/goddess or something and ends up with Jasper.

God grants all the vampire females a baby at the end and they are all pregnant. Peter, Char and the whole gang are in it.

I know it's been requested other places so I'm not sure if it's still here. Search didn't help.

Regarding organization......

Uber thanks to whomever it was that mentioned the calibre plugin for downloading fanfiction. I finally figured out how to use it effectively. I LOVE it.
I have everything organized in calibre in two libraries, one for fanfiction, the other for regularly published novels. With the plugin, I can download multiple fics at once, by going to the website, copying and pasting the URLs into the window, and then hitting ok. The most I've done at one time so far was 8, but there doesn't seem to be a limit on the amount, and it was FAST. I have mine set up to download epubs, and when it does, it also downloads the summary, so I can see it in the sidebar without having to open the book first.

There is also an update button for WIPs. You highlight the fic(s) you want to update, click the button, and if you have the fic linked to the URL, it will update them with any new chapters.
