Actually the current version of Fanfiction downloader you have the option to have the HMTL file or not. I don't have it set up on mine so I just get whatever formatted file I want and not both. Also once you copy the link it automatically appears in the storylink box. No more copy and paste, it just appears. I like that feature a lot. The stories also have a brief description on them. Whatever the author has placed as the summary in the descriptions area. It also lists story title, story link, category, author, last updated, how many chapters, and source. The programmer updates pretty often and is constantly expanding what sites you can download from. The lastest version is 0.5.0. I love it!

thanks for this recommendation. Im techno challenged so I wondered if you could tell me which one to download for windows 7 plse? There are like 4 .exes and 4 .rar one so Ive no idea which one to choose

and also some are 40mb and some are 5mb. I also have calibre but not the very latest one - if that makes a difference. sori if this is a silly question....hope you can help pls?

Not a silly question at all. On the download page there is a table with different versions. You would need the top one on the table that says FanFictionDownloader.exe|Microsoft® Windows®|~40MB|Download|Work in Porgress.

I don't use the one that is directly linked in to Calibre. You can always import the stories into Calibre later if you like.

You can use the online version and then you don't have to download anything. Both flagfic.com & ffdownloarder can be used this way.

For ffdownloader computer version whatever the latest version works on Win7. I actually have an older version I'm using successfully on Win7. If you can, download the exe file as it's easier to install.

I don't really read Jacob/Bella stories much. I'm mainly a Bella/Edward or Bella/Jasper shipper. There are some great communities on ff.net that are devoted to all shorts of ships though. Doing a quick search this is what I found:

You do have to have a google account and will need to give your sign in info for Twilighted.net if you are getting things from them. No further sign on is required for FF.net

I like Flagfic also because it is somewhat anonymous. If you download the app for ffdownloader it is also anonymous, but I don't know how it works with all the sites other than FF.net.

You should get the newest version on top of the downloadpage it is about 40 MB.
The 5 MB .exes can only be used if you have calibre on your PC and are sometimes really slow if you don't get the file in html.

If you dont have Calibre on your PC and download the 5MB version of FF downloader, you can download files in html format only. In case you add Calibre link to the 5MB version or download the 40MB version, you can choose from many download formats incl. epub, mobi, pdf. The FF downloader is simple and easy to use.
