Anyone knows which book has such a summary??   ^-^  :)

"I am spending time in jail for a crime I didn't commit, so I pass the time by showing the inmates I am the baddest of them all. But at night I teleport away to spend time with family and keep a watch over my girl. "

Hi,

I think this one is Fusion (The Patrick Chronicles #2) by Nicole Williams

Patrick Hayward isn’t used to feeling helpless. He’s a man of action used to controlling his destiny. But falling in love with Emma Scarlett had a way of upending everything, his sanity included.

Locked away as inmate number one-three-seven-oh for a crime he didn’t commit, Patrick spends his days slopping toxic sludge onto trays, resisting the urge to tear the scratchy, orange jumpsuit from his body, and making sure every hardened criminal behind bars with him knows he’s the biggest and baddest of them all. With the help of his handy little gift of teleportation, his nights are spent watching a certain green eyed goddess from the shadows.

When he discovers a couple of Inheritors stalking her one night, he realizes the obstacle of explaining who and what he is to Emma might not be the biggest battle they face.

Hope this helps,

zwbookworm

Yes, I got it from the library and I think it was a new release.  I am referring to the relationship book between a straight woman and a bereaved gay man. There were no explicit sex scenes, or anything like that - no erotica.  It was a relationship that was very difficult to build.  I can't believe I can't even remember the author!  At the time, I read mostly scifi, and not much romance at all.

Okay, sounds interesting. But no explicit sex scenes  ??? this gal can deal with that. You know I'm looking for it for some time and can't seem to....

I'll double my efforts. PM me if you still remember something like the possible sound of the name of the guy or the heroine. I don't know how but it will narrow down the search.

Hi, I hope someone can help me.
I'm looking for two books.
Both of them are either Mills & Boon or Harlequin.

The second book is the first of a series, I think it's three books but I only remember two.
The book is about a former marine biologist that was injured in a shark attack on TV. One day she decides to take a walk on what looks like a deserted property, when suddenly she is attacked by a man. The man turns out to be the body guard of the crown prince of some small island.
The prince watched the news and decides to go back home, for some reason the lady goes with him. On their way the prince gets abducted by his own people and is made king. The island has a law where if a person agrees to marry someone it's as good as actually getting married, the king tricks the lady this way but in the end its fine, and she builds a clinic for re-constructive surgery and watches the dolphins play

Any help will be appreciated  ;)

Could it be Forbidden Pleasure by Robyn Donald?

Beautiful, vulnerable and courageous Ianthe Brown might be, but she was out of bounds. Alex had to make a major life decision--not seduce the most wonderful woman he'd ever met. As it was, what would Ianthe do when she discovered that he, Alex Considine, was the Crown Prince of Illyria?

Looking for a book series I read as a teen, maybe 15-20 years ago, not sure if it was new then. Can't remember how many books were in the series, but I'm thinking it had at least 3 or more. It takes place in the US in the early 1900's, and the main character is a young girl who is the granddaughter of a gypsy woman with psychic powers.

In the first book, she is with a group of other girls from her school. Having caught a glimpse of her teacher's grading book, she's using that to play a trick on the other girls by pretending to see the future. During this, she suddenly blurts out that the younger brother of one of the girls has just been run over by a stanley steamer, which turns out to be true.

Can't remember if it's from the first book or one of the other ones,  but in another scene she's trying to prove to someone that her psychic powers are real. She has a vision about a boy trapped on the Titanic because he was too sick too leave his bed. When she returns to herself, she's holding the blanket from the boy's bed, which has the name of the ship embroidered on it. Both the blanket and her clothes are soaked with sea water. This makes a big sensation which reaches all the way to England, and the girl travels there with her boyfriend. While there, they visit a wax museum that has an exhibit based on her vision, only the people who made it got several details wrong. The two of them sneak in at night, remove the wax figures, and take their places.

I've been trying for ages to remember the title of this book but have been unsuccessful.

I'm pretty sure it was a Mills & Boon, Silhouette type book and I remember reading it while I was at university, so it was published prior to 1998.

The heroine is an artist, who as a child was kidnapped and kept in a dark room with rats. As a result she is now terrified of the dark, so she has her house completely lit up with flood lights and works all night on her art to stay awake (I think she was a painter) and sleeps during the day.
The Hero is a peanut farmer (of course!) who woos the heroine by giving her gifts over Christmas in keeping with the 12 days of Christmas poem. I remember she gets given a pair of lovebirds at one point and at different times he hires locals from the nearby town to cover the "lords are leaping" and "drummers drumming" sections of the poem and for "5 golden rings" she is given 5 thin gold rings that click together to become her wedding ring.

Thanks in advance!

Hudasee, thank you!  I think they did have sex, but it wasn't steamy.  Oddly enough, I remember thinking that it was odd that the author would write a book with that theme.  I also remember a book by Sue Monk Kidd nearby on the shelf - it may have been The Mermaid Chair or The Secret Life of Bees (her titles are wonderful).  However, this is no help because it was not either of these books or that author, although it does sort of pinpoint a beginning spot in time.  Now, if I could only remember the author!  One thing that struck me about the book was that neither character seemed to have high expectations of happiness, just possibly not to be as lonely.  They were making a serious effort to build emotional bridges with each other.  They were both single but had not always been alone.

I wish I could put a genre to this - it would be easier to search.  If you look up gay relationships, you get erotica.  :(

I need help with a book.

I don't remember much about the main characters, just that there was some sort of baby trafficking ring, and the H was somehow involved. I think he used to date/sleep with a lawyer involved with that ring. And I think a preacher and a teenager were involved. It's really sort of fussy.
I think H and h might have been lawyers as well.

Thanks!

ETA: I think H and h are/were opposing counsels or some sort of rivals. h is suspicious of pregnant ex lover, but H dismisses it as jealousy.

Need help with another book. My memory is surely falling me  :D :D

I remember H lives across h's friend. h and her friends get together and watch him workout, and such. H likes h, and he knows they are watching. h is shy, and I think he catches her watching and makes her come to his apartment. I remember she was surprised it wasn't a typical bachelor pad.I can't remember much else. I think one of h's friend hooks up with one of H's brothers.

Thanks!

Darn, you really can't remember anything?  ???

I think I've exhausted all lists in GR to see... I still can't find it. Yeah and you're right about the erotica remark. I wish there will be a list of serious gay romance outthere. This would make it easy.  :(

Hello ,  I would like help remembering the name of this book.
I read the story a couple of years ago (2005 or 2006) but I'll try to remember as much as I can.
The story is set in the old days (around 1900 century). It begins when the the heroine's house is under attack and the hero saves her but but she doesnt realize that and she hits him on the head with her brooch which leaves a scar. The villian that attacked her house is the hero's uncle. (The heroine does not know that but the hero does)
After some time they meet at the Kings palace and she protects him by not telling the judge he was there when her house was attacked.
The hero's mom tries to separate them and try to get them killed them at various points through out the book. The hero is either from Scotland or Ireland and the heroine is from England. He is banished from the England due to his temper but the heroine follows him to his place. I think they call it Isles or something. The hero's sister marries the best friend but the uncle kills her. The hero's father was killed by the mom, uncle and a guy disguised as a monk. I think the heroine's name is Geneive Flemming and the hero's name is Alex or Ally ( dont really remember) and the best friends name is Davey. I hope it sounds familiar to someone. The story was really good. Thanks in advance.

I just read this historical romance (regency I think), just published this year. I thought I put it in my TBR list but since it is Everest high and I couldn't remember the author's name..so here I am  ^-^

The heroine is almost 30, an earl's daughter with 6 or seven (couldn't remember) younger sisters. Her father is a irresponsible ba*tard initially want to marry off (or sell) one of the last younger unmarried sister to a baron, known for his sadistic streak. To protect her sister she agreed to take her place, but later she finds she couldn't do it, so she seeks to ruin herself by contacting one of her old friend, a courtesan. The friend arranged for her to lose her virginity with one of the customer, a duke (but the identities of both participant are unknown). Since the sex is so fantastic and well..the hero could not restrain himself, there's a possibility the heroine might get pregnant. Later after the searching, the chasing and later it is confirmed that she's pregnant so they get married.

It's not it. I remember h and H were not friends or anything like that. She and her friends watched him while they drink wine/cocktails. I think H was a carpenter/construction worker.

Thanks anyway!

Hi, I wondered if somebody could help me with this book title? It would be so great :)).

I read it about 14 years ago when I was an au pair in London, borrowed it from a library there.

It is a historical romance, set in the 19th, maybe the 18th century. Heroine arrives from Paris to London, with a scandalous reputation. One of her most scandalous escapades is that she presumably jumped in a fountain lol. Her notoriety is undeserved though, maybe her mother started those gossips for some reason (?).
Hero is a young nobleman who is quite estranged from his parents but very close to his former tutor. He considers him a mentor and he is in some form works for the crown's secret service (?). He enrolls hero to do the same. For some mission it is required that hero associates with heroine - I think heroine is aware of that and agrees (?). With time H realizes that h is not what she is reputed to be and they fall in love. They elope to Gretna Green and get married.
The mentor however is against this, maybe because H no longer wants to take advantage of h (?). He arranges h to believe that H deceived her and the marriage was a farce and they are not really married. When H learns that she thinks that they send a man to aquire the record for the marriage so he can prove he had not deceived her. However, the mentor arranges that the man come back saying there were no records and so there couldn't have been a real marriage. H is baffled and in despair, h is heartbroken. She's in such a bad a shape that she faints at a ball (and injures her head ?).

If I remember well even though H thought his parents did not care about him (maybe there was also a sibling who died and caused distance between them?), throughout the novel there were memories at least about his father being caring, like coercing him to eat when he wouldn't because he was sad. I think actually the mentor fuelled his resentment against his parents. Also, mentor actually cared about him but was a cold and fanatical person who would still use him for his purposes.

If anybody has a clue about this book, thanks in advance!!

Hello,

I am looking for a book that I read once, but can't remember much about it and it is killing me. I even think that it might have been a dream  :D
So what I remember is that it is suppose to be werewolf romance book. Heroin smells mate in a bar/club where she works as I remember head of security but is also hiding/running from something. So the heroin smells her (I think it might be part of some kind of series, as I remember that someone from his pack already found mate) and tries to find her in club. Heroine is then kidnapped by her co worker (who might be working for rival pack in town) and from there my memory is kinda fussy. I do recall that she is saved and brought to his house for mating or something..

Help please ! I know it is not much, but maybe.. someone :)
Funny thing is, that I am sure I even have it in my computer, but I just can't recall name or author  :o
My test of a good novel is dreading to begin the last chapter.  ~Thomas Helm

And one more book that maybe you know and I remember even less about. The only thing I remember that heroin (ex military) fell in love with heroine listening to her music (she was a singer) when he was injured and then later she came to him as a client. This one I believe is from well know author and also from some kind of series.

Thanks  :)
