Personally, (call me naive, or someone that has been around the block) but I don't trust the Media at ALL. They lie, spin tales, tell half truths, super impose images anything for a dollar. I have no opinion either way if she did or didn't do it. I would hope not! But what really really pisses me off to know end is if this is all a hoax the those photographers, magazines, gossip sites have all just imploded the world of two very innocent children and those babies should be everyone's concern. If I were their parent's and it was a hoax there would be heads rolling, there is no need for those babies to lose faith in their mommy & daddy.

I think society has lost sight of that, everyone is so mad at Kristen (& yeah some are mad at the director) that it's been forgotten there are two little ones involved. I too wonder if it comes out that this photographer has doctored these images in anyway will people who have been blasting, flaming, sending death threats, been down right judgmental and carried away will apologize. I personally won't believe any of this garbage (photos posted online are not proof) until it's admitted by one of the parties. I just feel so bad for these little ones it's heartbreaking.

I agree that it is a shame for the children being placed in the middle. I don't think the photos where doctored. They look real to me. Usually you can spot a "shopped" photo.

Also the public apologies from Rupert and Kristen are proof. Trust me if the photo were doctored there would not have been an apology by either party. It would have been denied at both camps and we would have heard that a defamation suit(s) would be announced and in the works.

Since they publicly apologized to their significant others this is proof that indeed misdeeds have occurred. Agents and PR people are doing damage control. They cheated and were caught. Plan and simple!  There was no denial at all. None! Wouldn't you think that if this story was untrue on any level that a denial would have come from one or both parties? They were caught on film and hurt a lot of other people because of their actions.

Also if this was untrue do you think Rob would have left? I don't. I think he would have stayed by Kristen's side as a supporter if it was untrue.

I can understand why you wouldn't want to believe it. It's sad and a shame. A marriage and family may break up because of this, children will be affected. Many hearts are broken, not only the parties involved, but a fandom of believers and admirers. Kris and Rob represented a fictional story come to life. People believed in the Bella/Edward happily ever after for them. This break up crushed a lot of peoples hearts because that fairytale has ended.

Call me cynical but cheating happens every not with just celebrities.  Families break up children are displaced and hurt in the process of this on a daily basis. 

We shouldn't hold celebrities to a higher standard that we can't hold ourselves to.  We all make mistakes and we all have to live with them.  Thats why they call them the conseqences of our actions of the choices we make.

Lots of people are commiting a sin living together and not being married, some married to another person they are trying to divorce but in a realtionship with someone. 

I chose not to be bothered by this I'm still going to go watch Breaking dawn.


Why don't people like Kstew?  Reason cause she may or may not be dating ROB?  Stupid reason in my opinion cause its not like Rob is going to date them maybe in fantasys.

I have to disagree with you about her not owing her fans anything. Quite the contrary, it's a symbiotic relationship between a star and a fan. I think the star should be respected as far a privacy and stuff but the fans should be treated with respect in turn. She wouldn't have her millions if her "fans" didn't come out and support her films. Just because of that she should be respectful to her fan base. Successful stars know this. It's part of celebrity and something that keeps them afloat. Johnny Depp is a perfect example. He never says anything bad about his co-stars, respects his fans and signs autographs. He is just a nice guy and in turn he is able to have some privacy in his life. He doesn't cause controversy and gets none in return. I mean the man dressed up as Jack Sparrow and visited a young fans school because she wrote a letter to him. Bravo, for doing that. Really! Now that is a memory that little girl and her whole school will have forever.

True. Celebs have to remember that they got there thanks to their fans and treating them badly is literaly bitting the hand that feeds you. I mean if it weren't for the fans they wouldn't get paid what they get paid. It's sad to see a Celeb who doesn't remember that he or she is famous because of the people who go and buy a ticket, be it for a concert or for a movie.

What I've learned from reading some gossip sites where they don't name names but give enough info that when something comes out you know just what happened? Yeah, so many of these "relationships" are so totally fake - the are business agreements to either help both parties or cover stuff we really don't want to know about. Well, unless you are into slash. And it could be either party or both that are hiding things. And it's not to say there isn't some form of love and respect on either or both sides. That said, I don't know if R/K's relationship was one of these? But I've always wondered.  They are apart more than they are together. Also, he goes to see her on the set, but she rarely visits him?

Okay, I should stop here.  And it kind of p*sses me off that he will probably come away from it fine & it might hurt her career. Just like brangelina. Also? Cheating usually happens when there is something wrong in the relationship to start with

I don't agree that celebrities owe us anything we are not entitled to anything.  You don't have to go watch these movies or show or even buy there music.


If thats the case and celebrities owe us something then so does the rest of society.  And we wonder why people hate americans right there is the answer we think we are entitled to something when we are not.

I've been to concerts, movies and even meet a few of the favorites that I like but I don't think they owe me anything because I spent money buying there stuff. 

I really hope she doesn't tone anything down.  I know personally  I have a don't give a shit attitude and that's why I like her.

ScarlettRaven, THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU!! I've been looking for a way to describe why people in the fandom are upset over this to non-fandomers (yea, I just made that word up). But as I am one of those who's never really cared if they were together or not (Edward/Bella's story is what I fell in love with, not Robert/Kristen's) I've been unable to find a simply way to say it. And your description of an ended fairytale is spot on. So . . . THANKS!


I've been away, and am just now catching up with all this, so the rest of my thoughts are rather random. They're in reference to things I've read on here, as well as elsewhere.

First, I want to say I am wholly against cheating of ANY sort. Whether it is on a spouse, significant other, or boyfriend/girlfriend. I believe you made a commitment to that other person, whether it's a legal union or not; and if you want to go get your freak on elsewhere you should grow a pair, come clean about your desires, and either work thru it with your partner or get the feck out of the relationship. Therefore, I see no difference in Rupert and Kristen's actions. Well, other than the fact, that in addition to hurting his partner (wife) Rupert also hurt his 2 innocent children with his "momentary indiscretion". (And as I work with at-risk and abused children, my first priority will always be the child in any situation) But as I stated above, I am not emotionally invested in this situation. I love and adore Twilight, as well as Twifiction, but this "momentary indiscretion" did not tear at my heart like say the shootings in Colorado; which, BTW had me sobbing for bloody hours.

With regards to Kristen's statement, something struck me as quite odd - her use of the words "momentary indiscretion". Did she (or her PR team) use those words to make us believe this photographic evidence was the only time this occurred with Rupert?? Or that this is the only affair she's had since she's been with Rob??

If she's saying it only happened this once with Rupert then I'm gobsmacked. I read the best comment about how absurd that sounds on another site (didn't copy it down, so here it is paraphrased): "Kristen's PR team is spinning this as a one-off, but that doesn't make sense. Why would she get a phone call, out-of-the-blue, from a guy she hasn't worked with in months, go meet him in a secluded parking lot, and then decided to make-out with him all in one day?? That makes zero sense. We are not really expected to believe this, are we??"

As for whether or not the pictures/apologies are true or a media hoax: The thing that convinces me the most is there has been no denial of the affair from ANYONE. Even if Kristen & Rupert didn't want to address it (though it's hard for me to believe Rupert's wife, Liberty, wouldn't be demanding a retraction if that were the case - if merely for the sake of the children) I can't believe the Summit-machine wouldn't be all over it - screaming it from the mountaintops. As quick as they are to respond to the "leaks" which seem to continually occur, I would think they'd have mobilized every lawyer and publicists they have, in order to quash this story, and all those reporting it. After all, the last film is due out in a little over 3 months, and I doubt they'd let anything feck with their biggest money maker - if they thought they could stop it that is.

Anyway, those are just my thoughts.

I read her blog post on CNN the day after the events happened. It's so sad. She narrowly misses getting killed only to taken in that horrid shooting in Colorado. Truly terrible!
