I was wondering if anyone can help me find some entertainment while I'm home from work and school with a bad case of the flu. I'm looking to expand my readings from just Edward/Bella to canon couples as well. I've never ventured out and read stories with other canon couples, but for some reason I've felt this urge to do so today.

What I'm looking for is canon pairings (Jasper/Alice, Emmett/Rosalie, and Carlisle/Esme. But please NO Jacob/Renesmee) with Bella and Edward playing a strong role like how so many Edward/Bella stories have the canon pairings playing big roles in friendship and family, but focuses on the main pairing. I would prefer Bella/Edward to be together or coming together, and not paired with other couples. All Human, A/U, or Vamp is fine.

Did the people that give out the Golden Lemon Awards stop for some reason? Anyone know why?

I emailed Kassiah to see what happened to them. She was in charge of so much of that website, but she also runs The Fictionators too, so maybe they just didn't have time to do them this year. The last awards were handed out about a year ago and there hasn't been anything new since then.... Will update when I hear back!

UPDATE ON GOLDEN LEMON AWARDS!
So, I talked to Kassiah who has added a survey to the Golden Lemon Awards website to see if there is enough interest to do them again. You need to go there and fill out the form by November 10th so that they can decide if its worth all the work involved. If there is enough interest they may happen! Pass this around to your fandom friends and lets see if we can make it happen again!

I can't believe I've let myself get 45 pages behind in this thread.........Gahhhh. Not even gonna try to get caught up. Hope I didn't miss anything important.

Anyway.....

I've read a lot of good stuff lately. Right now I'm reading Secrets and Lies by Bellascotia. It's really really good. Without giving anything away, Bella's interaction with Charlie had me crying my eyes out. Great read.

In the last few fics I've read, I keep seeing a rec for Uptown Reality by Lt90. I can find a penname for her on FF.net but all of her fics have been pulled and I can't find her on TWCS or Twilighted either. The way the other writers have recommended makes me really want to read it. Does anyone have it or know where I can find it? According to the blurb, Bella and Rose rent an apartment where everything is falling apart and Edward is the landlord.

The problem was a compounding of errors. The original poster has the wrong author listed and you were misspelling the title. So it wouldn't show up in your author search or your title search. Luckily I know real estate terms, so I knew how to correctly spell the title. And, of course, I have the research super power!

Ahh, I see it now. The problem I was having is when it was recommended the last time, the author rec'ed it as Uptown RealITY, not realty.
