Hey you!! I've missed you gals too, I've been on facebook at work but other than that I've not been on the computer at home. The kids need it for school. I have decided to get a new laptop though and have half the money saved up so far. I'm being a little greedy on the new one. I want the 3rd gen. i7 processor, 8 mb of ram, and 1 tb hard drive so it's taking a bit I should be up and running full time again in about a month. (I wish hubby would just buy it, but I'm being taught a lesson in saving that I needed badly lol)

Was this incomplete when it was pulled? the story on this link has 17 chapters and doesnt look complete. i really would like to read it as i've seen it rec'd before but i wont if it's not finished :/

"We’ve recently been contacted about running another round of the Golden Lemon Awards. We want to hear from you–do you want more?

Yup, they did. On the site. I just figured it was one of those inside jokes that I never understand

But then again it is the lemon awards - maybe they are into fruits & veggies or something

I think that, in addition to the quote and thank you buttons, we need an LOL button.

Ella - good thinking on your part. I think their fruit and veggie fetish is exactly why they used lettuce, instead of let us. Orange you glad someone agrees with you? ( I have a thing for citrus!)

Your right about there being some really talented authors in ff land, I wish them luck. As for being a kind of hipster virus, I think you are probably right about that too but hey if you can get published why not. As for tarasueme, some hated the trilogy but many more loved it. I have mixed feelings about it.

I know this isn't the popular opinion, but I LOVE IT when my favourite authors publish. Don't even care if it's reworked FF or an original story. I always buy them to put on my book shelf. But then, rather than feeling used by them (as I've read some do) I feel grateful for the hours of entertainment they gave me for free when I desperately needed it.

Perhaps my gratitude is directly linked to the fact, I found FF right before my first extended hospital stay (read: purgatory) It gave my mind someplace to explore during the endless hours of torture- er, I mean testing. And it was so much more than merely reading a story, as I became friends with the authors.

My first foray into FF was Master of the Universe, followed by University of Edward Masen, and both Icy/Erica and SR always took time to chat. Even after their stories became huge, neither one failed to answer a single one of my long rambling emails. (You see, I spent a wee bit of time sleeping involuntarily -ie coma- and that combined with the meds led to an annoying habit of rambli- oh, wait *glances up at present ramble*

never mind)

In-E-Way, that's my opinion, even if the reasoning is a bit different than most. Cheers!

Talking about MOTU and University of Edward Masen, I need you opinion. Should I read them?

I've already read the entire Fifty Shades trilogy and from what I hear MOTU isn't all that different. (Although some say it is better?)

I abandoned Gabriel's Inferno after reaching the middle of the book (I think). It was just a bit too emotional/angsty all of a sudden and I just wasn't in the mood I guess. Do you think it would be better to continue the book or read the FanFic instead?
