Wait, did Edward forget to tell Bella he was married? Because that's one of the few reasons I can see for that.

Though I did read one of Mamasutra's ones where Edward cheated with Tanya. And sorry but I blamed him because he could have stopped & worked it out but didn't.

But mostly I agree, it's usually both parties fault & this is probably why I don't really like them. There really is no way to have an HEA.

Though I did read one of Mamasutra's ones where Edward cheated with Tanya. And sorry but I blamed him because he could have stopped & worked it out but didn't.

See, most of the "cheating" fics I've read are where Bella is either wife or girlfriend to Jake, Mike, or James, who cheats on her because she's stupid & believes everything he says and then Edward "rescues" her and shows her she isn't the frigid woman her ex tells her she was. So HEA with Edward.

Actually it sounds kind of stupid when I think about it

I re-read MoTU last week while on a skiing holiday and then last night I watched back to back episodes of The Mentalist, I had an epiphany of sorts...
going for one of my own country men.... I see Simon Baker as Christian - yes he is a little older and shorter, but he can be aloof and I can totally see him taking control and even playing being tormented, etc.... and he can spank me any time

I love Simon Baker, but I think he's just too old to play a twenty something guy. However, it is a movie. And movies are never like the book. So.....

I can see him as Christian but the true 50 for me will be Rob as I still picture 50 as Edward but in all honesty, I hope that he doesn't even consider it.

***Mini rant***

I know I'm probably in the minority of readers who enjoy E/B cheating fics. I like the angst that accompanies these stories, esp when written well. However...
I'm reading one and Edward is such a pussy and is blaming the entire thing on himself when there are two people involved. I get that's it's fiction and not reality, but frik, it takes two to tango so to speak. I really, really , really hate that Edward is made to be the jerk and Bella is the one he's grovelling too. She's the one he cheated on his wife with! The hell? *huffs* They both are at fault, they both hurt each other and the others around them! I personally think that if an author is going to write a cheater fic they should have both points of view. Now I want to punch Bella and hug Edward.

Sorry, it's just so frustrating to read this and not want to say something to the author. I will never flame or leave an ugly review because things p!ss me off. The saying goes "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" I don't like when people leave mean reviews. The authors have the balls to put stuff out there, it should at least be respected. IMO

However as I type this out I feel like a hypocrite

Are you by any chance referring to One Night by Mamasutra? If it's the case then I'm going to politely disagree with you because that Edward definitely has a ton of groveling to do to Bella before they can have any kind of relationship. I'm actually hoping at this point that she won't take him back. He still can't own up to his ex that he wants a relationship with Bella or that she's pregnant. I'm not an Edward fan in this fic at all. If that's not the story you were discussing please do share which one it is.

Bella is a total slut in that fic and has cheated on Edward throughout their marriage. I could neither sympathize nor empathize with any of it, and really regretted reading it.
