I finished First and Ten over the weekend and I really loved it! As of now, i think nolebucgrl is my favorite author  She's working with a publisher and am looking forward to reading her books.

Am now halfway through I love College and I also really like it.

I try to switch the type of edwards I read so I dont confuse their stories    guess i'll go read Fridays at noon after this one for some CEOward.

Thanks for all your recs, I'm truly enjoying them  . Am at least making some headway on my TBR list.

So I started First and Ten because you told me to.  As expected, it is good. It definitely started out good with the original OS.  I've liked everything I've read by Nolebucgrl as well. Hopefully, you will also like Fridays at Noon - TroubleFollows1017 is a very good writer, though more angsty than Nolebucgrl.   

But I do know what you mean about mixing them up - I was reading 3 Actorward WIP's at the same time & it was getting pretty confusing as to which was doing what.  Though not necessarily in a bad way.

It was pretty quiet this weekend - though, I'm sure some stories disappeared. Oh and OCDmess is not going to finish her stories, even though her OCD wants her to.  That darn RL got in the way 

This is why I love living in my nice fiction world of Edward.  Oh and Bella.  But mostly Edward lol!

Well Thank you Ella. So bummed to hear about OCDmess  It's so frustrating that we have to deal with RL dang it. lol I too love my fiction world with Edward and Bella. I'm a little scared to look and see how many fics were pulled this weekend I heard another one pulled was by belladonna1472 called "Off the Record" I didn't get a chance to save that one  *shrugs* probably another RL issue I didn't research it though.

I discovered your hidden treasure trove here fairly recently (probably a month ago). You ladies are amazing and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this resource. I’ve spent the time since finding you going through the Twilight boards and saving what I needed and catching up with you all. I thought I was organized until I saw the lengths some of you go to to capture and catalog (and share) fics. It is really remarkable.

I have 1,900 fics saved and on my “To Read” list, so whether I’ll be able to get to them all in my lifetime is a valid question. (I also read about 50 wips at a time.) Because there are so many fics to choose from, I am picky. My criteria:

1) Good grammar and writing style
2) Believable plot
3) Realistic dialog
4) Edward/Bella
5) Prefer all human and modern day, but do read others when they’re well-written
6) HEA
7) Angst is okay if it isn’t unrelenting (and I prefer to read angsty fics as completed ones or at least hold off reading the updates until the heart fail passes)
Mature fic – not written by a 12-yr old; I read very few T fics
9) Lemons appreciated, but not required
10) Enjoy humor and a well thought-out plot where the story builds

I need to care about the characters and what’s happening to them. They don’t need to be perfect, but should redeem themselves or grow in some way.

I had to agree with everything you said,  but I laughed when you said believable plot. 

Only because in what universe is student/unfamous Bella going to actually meet famous Edward and he falls in love at first sight.  But it is one of my favorite story lines.  Or that vampires really exist.... Yet I love Vampward.  Otherwise, I totally agree with you.  And I know, that is not what you really meant by believable plot.   

Please excuse my weird sense of humor. Just the logical part of my brain amusing the creative side.   

lol. I know you know what I mean. Sometimes someone is such a doormat or acts in a way that just defies reason within whatever storyline being written. I had one where I made it through something like 20 chapters and the angst was just unrelenting and the characters were bringing it all upon themselves and there truly seemed like no reason for the angst other than to just prolong the story. I abandoned the fic but thought I might read the final chapter if it ever wrapped up. (Because I had invested 20 chapters in the story.) Enough is enough.

And thanks to whoever posted that Off the Record had been pulled. I am very sad that one probably won't ever be finished. It was a different plot than many and I liked the futuristic setting. I hate when that happens, but realize it's an inherent danger of reading a wip. When will I learn?

Sadly for most of the fics that never get finished usually either the author losses interested and/or RL gets in the way mostly is RL.

Unfortunatelly it happens to most of us usually we find a fantastic fic to read except that eventually it gets put on hiatus and then abandoned,  It's sad to see all of those fantastic fics never finished forever to stay as WIP

I have come to really dislike it when there are A/N's in the middle of a chapter - either telling you to look back at the chapter before for info you may have missed to explain why they wrote something or to let you know where to find outfits that were just described..... it really disrupts the flow

Is it bad I can ignore a lot of this stuff?  I am very forgiving for free fiction, as long as it is semi-good.  Or if it is Actorward.  I put up with a lot for Actorward.  *shakes head* Yeah, a lot.
