Thank you guys for the birthday wishes I really appreciate them very much.
Sorry I missed it, Happy Birthday a little late. Hope it was a good one!I guess I missed an email or something. Tricklem, I hope they get your son's stuff back. Though it's likely the hard drive will have been wiped. There are a lot of free tools out there that actually do an amazing job at recovering files if he does get it back wiped. Okay it's bedtime for me. my cat is trying to remind me so she can sleep on my feet LOL!
We don't think that his stuff will be recovered, but it could have been worse. At least he is ok physically. We have given him a laptop we don't use anymore and are working on getting him a tv.
That is the important thing. I remember when you could find cheap TV's at yard sales. I think they must die now before people get tired of them and upgrade. At least he should be able to watch some shows on the laptop.
I see lots of them at local pawn shops, but they generally go for, at most, 50 bucks less than a new one of a similar make and model, I figure might as well go new! I see better deals at those "for charity" thrift stores these days/I think the problem is, new TVs (and everything else!) just aren't made to last like they used to be. It was nothing to get 20 years or more off those old console models, nowadays, you do good to get 10 years. I understand that technology changes, and people like to upgrade, but there's something wrong when I've had 3 TVs go out, but my grandparents' old floor model console TV is still kicking!
I have a TV that I bought in 1986 that still works just fine. My kids complained about it endlessly though since it was not a flat screen. We finally got a flat screen because we changed cable companies and received a TV as part of the deal.
Hi gals, might be missing in action for the next 3 weeks. Arrived yesterday in California for our family vacation.Loving the cool weather so far.Inn N Out - doneTaco Bell - doneYup, looks like i will be putting on weight here again... super size food in the US is soooo hard to resist. Take care!
Just found out that while my son was over at our house having Easter dinner, he was robbed. This world just really sucks sometimes.
I hate to be the one to tell you this Ella but its supposed to be cold until at least Friday. The wind hasn't helped at all - its been pushing what should be in the 20's into the teens. We had a little snow yesterday - just enough to cover the ground. Boston I believe had somewhere between 2 -4 inches. I don't know about DC but we're having rain on Thursday. Should you get to the Mall area around the White House - look for my brother Steve Hazelton - works for the National Park Service as a tour guide - does late afternoon into early evening shift.
That truly sucks hon. I hope they get the $#@$%.I missed it, but hope it was great !Hello to everyone else. I know, I am terrible these days. The 12-14 hrs I have been doing for years, doesn't seem to let up and at night....I am most of the time too tired to read. For those that remember me talking about Outlander....it sent me to Scotland last year..... Starz is showing all of Season 1 for free. Hubs even watched this with me. Season 2 premier is Saturday. You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginGreat way to spend 16 hours while it is free !!Hope everyone has been healthy, happy, and horny (couldn't resist the last one)
Hey! Long Time No See! I think of you when I see those commercials for Outlander. I watched a bit of one. Claire was stuck with a bunch of women because the men had to do something. She tried to be quiet, but got so annoyed at things she was seeing and hearing. And I was thinking, I would have been so much worse. They treated women like slaves or cattle, not women. They actually did that very well, as it was very likely that way. But she caused problems for Jaime. Sorry you are still working so much. That kind of sucks. Is your husband still traveling a lot?Okay, the American Idol special is on - kind of a look back on the show - it is actually pretty interesting. Behind the scenes stuff.
This is funny because I'm in DC for training this week. And it is freezing here. I was going to hit the museums, since some are open late this week, but it was so cold I just went back to my hotel...Hopefully it is warmer tomorrow. And it doesn't rain. I've actually seen all the Smithsonians, since I've been here a few times, but I always like checking out the gems at the Natural History Museum and the planes at the Air and Space Museum. So I was trying to read Work in Progress by Areo, but by halfway through I was done with all the lemons. I think the first chapter may have been the only one without lemons. Not much story. So now I am reading Bannerday's Fan Fiction, Sex Gods and Single Girls or something like that. It is pretty funny. And not filled with lemons. Though Bella has some pretty hot dreams..... LOL!Unfortunately, she seems to be reposting it on FFnet, so it is not showing as complete. There should be a version on my Google drive. I haven't been updating it as well as I should though. I had to move my Copy drive backup, and I've been traveling for work a lot. So that kind of messed me up a bit. I will update it next week when I'm back home
Wrap up and stay warm, hun. I hope that you manage to get to visit the places you want to. I read FFSG&SG when Bannerday first completed it and quite enjoyed it, though I did feel that the BBQ thing dragged a bit, if I remember right it happened over 10 chapters (about 200 pages)!! I'm waiting until she finishes posting her "edited" version to read it again to see if she's made any big changes, what I skimmed of it so far it doen't seem like this has happened though.
