Can't believe I missed this pic, it's really cool. Shame you couldn't go inside of it though.
Seeing a space shuttle is on my bucket list.

We got to see Discovery take off - I think it was the second to the last shuttle take off. It was really cool, but my pictures just showed a big blob of light since it was at 6 in the morning and still kind of dark.

But I got to get up close and personal with the outside of the Endeavor when it landed at Edwards in 2008.

Most of the pictures I have are just parts of the shuttle - it didn't fit in my camera LOL! But it was fun to walk around the whole thing....

Well, my kids didn't feel like that combo too so we ended u eating at Famous Dave's BBQ for lunch. The ribs were good!

We got to touch the starfish, anemones, sea urchins, manta rays and sharks at the aquarium so that was cool.

Ribs sound so much better than fried chicken and waffles.

The Long Beach Aquarium is really nice. I like that they let you touch the fish. Though I think I went there just after that Steve guy got killed by a stingray. So touching the manta rays made me nervous.

ROTFLMAO! Wow that was so funny. Calling out someone's mispelling with a mispelling. Well, really a misused word.

I know right!!! I actually groaned out loud when I read it on my phone earlier, which probably wasn't the best thing to do as I was in church "watching" my nephews sing with their class for some school choir thing at the time.

Questions from an admitted newbie. I've heard for years that Shades of Grey started out as Twilight fan fiction. A couple months ago, I finally broke down and read the entire 50 Shades series. I'm sorry, but I never thought of Twilight while reading any of the FSOG books. I feel like I must be missing something cause I just don't see the similarities. Twilight's a paranormal romance targeted to teen girls and women in their early twenties. FSOG is Erotic Contemporary Romance targeted to adults. Edward is hundreds of years old and Bella is a teenager, so big gap there in terms of age and experience. FSOG there's not a big age gap, though there is a gap in sexual experience. Christian is messed up due to years of abuse. This ties into his use of BDSM, his contracts with his subs, and pretty much every aspect of his personal life. Twilight isn't about those themes. Was the early writing of EL James (I'm guessing before she was EL James) vastly different? Did she completely rework everything? Or am I just clueless? Can someone hep me out here?

There are so many twilight fanfictions that just use the character names from Twilight, It's usually indicated that it's AH (All Human) or AU (Alternative Universe). They are in no way related to Twilight.

When the story was originally written as Master of the Universe, the characters had the names, and some character traits, from the Twilight characters. It was written for a built-in fan base. People who wanted more of the Twilight characters. There is very little difference between the original Master of the Universe and the Fifty Shades of Gray trilogy. Character names, some physical characteristics, and a few other details, but the stories are essentially the same. If you want to compare, you can check out copies of the original stories. EL James wrote as snowqueensicedragon. You can find links to the stories in the Index of Uploaded Twilight fanfiction in the S post (link to Index in my signature line). The first Master of the Universe covers the first two Fifty books, with MOTU II covering the third Fifty book.

Flag is coming back but its in beta testing now before they release it.

Temporarily Down - Back Soon

FLAG has been moved to entirely new infrastructure in a different location after experiencing major issues with the datacentre where FLAG has been hosted for the last few years, and will be back soon. Unfortunately the nature of the change requires some modification of the backend code to cope with the differences - this is being worked on at the moment, and I hope to have FLAG back up and running normally in the near future.

Please watch this page for updates. Any significant news, including an announcement when FLAG is back up and working normally, will also be posted to @flagfic on Twitter.
