This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement. 

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Well, I get it. Not all stories are for everyone. But there are some real smexy times in it as well....  And well I laughed so much.

I loved the Angel series.  Broken Angel started out a little slow. She also is big into lemons.  I like the stories after this more.  But I really loved the whole series.  And she has some really great original characters she adds.  Also? Demetri is a good guy.  If you like sweet Vampwards, this one is good.

 

Is that my problem. You say the first one is slow..........well I AM reading it slow too. As previously stated it's still on my current reading list on goodreads.

So another week has passed. I am about 1/2 done with Creature of Habit, also slow to get started. I got diverted between updates to wips, a book that I should complete tonight, and then I will be on to My Mate and it's sequel. The good news is I only worked 15.5 hrs today. Then with the drive to and fro, 16.75 hrs. So in 8 hrs out of 24, I get to get ready for work, talk to hubs, blog a little, read, take a bath, eat supper, oh and sleep sometime.

Astro good to see you finally enjoy WindowWard. I was getting scared as I thought you would enjoy it.  I read it as a wip including the sequel. I want several rounds with WindowWard myself. Kiyaraven ranks right up there with smexy lemons. Not many can write them like her. Plus we got them from EPOV.

That one  is actually my least favorite.  And really, I think it gets good about halfway through.  Though they do have smexy times when she is human, if I remember correctly.  But really, when she becomes a vamp? It's much better. 

I was really hoping I could easily get the URL's for your favs.  But I have to copy them one by one.  And? I think I have almost all of them in my Calibre library.  But my library is too big for my google drive at this point.  Though there are a lot of things I will never read.  I just grabbed stuff by authors whose stories I liked.  Or thought I might like?  Plus stories with over 1000 reviews.  And most of the Edward and Bella stories over 20K words.....  LOL! these are my filters when I was downloading like crazy.  I like this new method of "Reportable Offenses" list.  Much easier....

I still have around 600 stories from the last time I pulled your favs, but I know a number of them have been pulled and are no longer on FFnet.

Good to hear book 1 is your least fav. It's actually the first fic of hers I have read and I was getting discouraged. I refuse to have it be my first ever flounce. Scorpio's are not quitters.

You might like her Gravity series better.  I loved Blood & Glory, but was not expecting to.  Definitely a lot of action in it.

I was looking through my emails from that Reportable Offense group (500 just today!) and do people seriously post "stories" that aren't even stories, but people hunting fics or asking for story recommendations? THOSE I can totally understand getting deleted.

And I'm surprised by how many people write sexy stories about cartoons like Pokemon and Adventuretime! Wow!

If memory serves, how we did google drives years ago, we shared them and they weren't public. The links didn't work if someone tried to do that and you actually invited them and stated via email address who could see, download, etc. It might have changed over the years though. This was back before google called it drives and called it documents. Then in turn to see, download, etc,  people had to sign into google. Just an option if you want to limit access.

This was also long before flagfic or most of the other sites. Back in the days people copied and pasted into word which is why pdf's. I had copies long before my kindle and iPad even existed.That's  how I got started get copies of all the stories. It was also long before I had a clue about calibre.

I even remember back in the day, each of us taking fics and coping and pasting. It was a long process. Back when RAOR was hundreds strong. I would do one, someone else did another and so on and so on. Then we shared.

It would be awesome to have access to someone's fic library. Why did I put it off for so long?

I can limit sharing to someone with an email address or I can share a link.  That's what I did with the stuff I downloaded from Velvet Demon's 4-share drive.  And for the most part? I don't have a problem putting a link in my signature.  If I use my second Ella gmail account, it is almost empty so there is about 15 gbs free. Plenty for my completed fics folder.   It's just going to take a while to sync.  I may do it tomorrow when I can plug into my router, rather than over wifi.  I want to see if I can do it without zipping it.

I'll update on the status tomorrow.   

Oh man.....your gonna make me breakout the laptop.  I will have to update tons. Windows, Symantec, calibre, iTunes, etc etc. I'm not even sure I have the ff downloader plugin. That's how long it's been. Sigh, good excuse to sync my iPad.......although I backup over wifi to iCloud.

I too have two email accounts for google drive. The one I share with hubs and then my personal email address. Then 4shared, and Dropbox.....and....and....

I'm off to get 4 hrs sleep. Have a good day/night ladies.

It's a very quick read, but I seriously have to give a warning! Please do not consume coffee or other hot beverages while reading. And it might be useful to be alone without other people witnessing... I couldn't contain my laughter and I nearly would have spit my coffee.

And I dared to join the repotable offense community. It really doesn't display the followers which I find strange, but I appreciate it. But my e-mail-inbox exploded since joining! 500 new e-mails alone from this community! I don't know if I can keep up with this. I'll see if I have to quit again. Don't they have work to do or maybe learn for school? 

Seems like the reportable offence group just search for the word 'lemon' in the summary and adds those fics, I hope there'd be a great alternative for ff.net I'm getting tired of their crap.
