I have actually had a proper lie-in this morning.  I didn't wake up until 11.00am!  I cannot remember the last time this happened.

We had a great Christmas day and were only woken up at 07.00am by the kids.  They were really happy with everything Santa left them.

We have had a lazy day so far and are off to the in-laws this afternoon.

I read The Heart of a Duke by Victoria Morgan and really enjoyed it.  I also read the LARP story Loopy recommended and liked it.

I'm steeped in tissues...just finished my reread of Savage7289's Transcendence. It was so gooood! So original...I don't know what to say other than you have to read it if you haven't read it already. (It's been P2P, but a PDF is here on PTS and the epub is in Ella's library.) I think this may be my favorite Edward ever. He's sweet, possessive and all around adorable.

Oh, and while the rest of the world celebrated yesterday I broke my SydneyAlice cherry with her first fic, Everlong. I liked it, especially since there was no New Moon moment and I've read a few of those lately. Tired of them and their angst. I don't know what Everlong was classified as originally, romance probably. Again, this was P2P, but the PDF is on PTS and epub in Ella's library. I had heard mixed views on SydneyAlice's writing, but I liked the writing in this one. I'll have to read more of her fics to make a judgement.

Hello ladies. How I've missed you all!

The end of the school year just got on top of me and I got a little swamped. I hit a really rough patch and got a little consumed with just keeping my head above water. My doctor added something to my little cocktail of medication to help with the anxiety and I was also fighting constant nausea from that. By the time I got home at the end of the day, I barely made it to bed, and then was up early to fight through another day and do it all again.

I haven't even saved any fics since November!

I made it through to the end of the year at work, and on the last day of school, I had to go into the hospital for some minor surgery - I had 5 moles removed from my face and arms. It was just day surgery and it all went smoothly, but the painkillers knocked me on my arse! I was supposed to take them every 8 hours. I only took one on Friday night and one on Saturday night, and even then, I slept for 43 of the 48 hours of that weekend!

I'm down in Brisbane now, at my parents' and it's been lovely to catch up with the family. I have done as little as possible and I am feeling much better about life in general now - although my therapist has warned me that I need to address the issue of me setting such high expectations for myself, and not to treat the holidays as a placebo.

I hope you are all well - I look forward to going back to page 119 and catching up on all that I've missed. Did you all have a lovely Christmas?

We spent the day at my sister's. She has a German au pair and her boyfriend was visiting from Hanover. They were amazed by our Aussie Christmas and the heat was knocking them around a bit.

I finished Drotuno's Gravity series - loved all 3 - and am looking forward to the fourth one completing. I'm working through the Rock Chick series while I'm on holidays. I know some of you don't like them, but they are just what I need now - light, humorous, and hot sexy men. If only I could get that in my real life!!!
 
I will be around a lot more now that I'm feeling better. I bought myself an iPad for my birthday/Christmas and need you all to teach me how to use it properly! I desperately need to know how to block ads - I have them blocked on my laptop, but can't figure it out for the iPad.
