This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

We named him Clark Jackson he was born on April 10 at 12:20pm. He weighed 8lbs 3oz and 20 1/2 inches. We are both doing good. Mini is so excited to be a big sister and help out. The first week the husband was home with me and last week my mom was home so it was easier to heal.

I'm loving his name, I always wanted to use the name Clark for a middle name but the hubby vetoed it when I was pregnant with Saxon - maybe next time.

Glad you're both doing well and that little girl is happy that her brother has arrived and that you've had help while resting and healing.

So, that guy I went out with last week, is really starting to piss me off. We only went out that one time, and it wasn't even a real date cause he met my mom, sister, sis's boyfriend, and me at the mall. He had to meet my family first cause we have this thing about knowing who each other is with in case they turn out to be serial killers. He meets them, it's all fine and dandy, we go off on our own to talk and hang out. Then we hang out with the others for a half hour before we part ways. I wasn't that thrilled to begin with cause he didn't really say anything, has no definite opinion on anything, and makes me feel like I could walk all over him (which is something I really don't want). I was trying to be nice and give him a chance, but now he won't stop texting me, and when he does he calls me sweetie and baby. I really just want to tell him to leave me the f*ck alone, cause I really don't like clingy guys, but I'm trying so hard to be nice cause it doesn't seem like he has a lot of people in his life. But seriously! Who calls someone sweetie after one half-assed date and a hand-ful of texts?!?! And Loopy doesn't count! We all can't live down to her standards! (just kidding loop!)

I have to agree with you hun - clingy guys don't do it for me at all, it's turn off when a guys is like a puppy and constantly following/texting/ringing you.

I don't see why we can't all live down to my standards - it's fun down here where standards don't exist, it means I have little to no expections.

Except according to him his dad was never around and his mom walked out on him. Which is where the feel bad for him comes in. But I'm not a clingy chick and I sure as hell don't want a clingy guy. And where I come from, guys that let you walk all over them and cling don't last very long.

If he's this clingy now, run, don't walk, as fast as you can. That's not the sort of thing they get over, and if you're not feeling it, best to nip it in the bud now. He might be lonely or messed up, but it's not up to you to make him feel better.

Not saying be mean or anything, just politely but firmly let him know that you can be his friend, but you don't feel for him that way.

That or block his number, which is probably what I'd have done when I was young and cowardly.

I've started reading Trippin, Slippin and I have no idea why YG chose that title but this fic is totally owning me right now. I can't think of anything else! So much emotion! It's like I can feel their pain in my own heart. I'm at the part where

I have to ask. Is it possible for Dusty to be better than this one? I've been trying to keep up a wall between myself and the fic known as Dusty, but it might be slowly crumbling.

YellowGlue has the prettiest narrative style. I really liked Trippin, Slippin, Stumbletumblin, but I think at the time it was written it must have been popular to have a mirrored POV and by the time I got around to reading the second half of the story told from Edward's POV I was ready to flounce. Not that it wasn't interesting to have his perspective, but it just seemed redundant to go through all of that again with just a little more new info. That is largely the biggest flaw I think I had with Dusty. I get exhausted just thinking about that story, and I LOVE long stories. Word count does not bother me in the least, it's when I don't see any progress going on with the plot.

I can't complain, because people should be able to write for themselves without the opinions of others, but as a reader it's just frustrating to see the same things over and over without any hint of when we might be moving forward. I'm really curious to see what they're going to do with publishing the story though. If an editor got their hands on the story, I wonder what kind of notes they would have for YellowGlue and TeamBella.

The only story I haven't read by TeamBella is Revelry, and I probably never will because she was kind enough to include a trigger warning to self harm and I am just not going there. Nope. OMG that reminds me that I read a story (Untouchable by silver sniper of night) where Bella was abused by Renee for years and years, and the only warning I got in the summary was that it was a "dark fic" R U SERIOUS?! That could allude to anything and I was PISSED. That is my hard limit.

Woohoo! Thanks Loopy! I just found out that A Dominant and A Gentleman is on fanfiction.net and continued! I started reading on her blog, but she stopped updating there so I thought the story was abandoned. It didn't even cross my mind to search ff.net.

By the way, Loopy. I really think the new guy in your sig needs help with undressing. He can't seem to get it right. I'd volunteer gladly!

Ayayayayay! Major issues that boy is likely to have. But am glad you are going out on 1 more date as it really is too hard to get to know someone when the family is around. If you still don't feel him, tell him you just want to be a friend. Bec by the sound of things, he might have a need for more friends. Good luck!

She does the same thing with his pacifier. Her favorite phrase is "oh no! Get brother/clarkie he's looking upset/sad" when he's crying. She likes to cuddle with who Evers holding him so she can be close to him. We not got lucky that they like the baby

Is there an easier way to grab a story from Tricky Raven's site besides using the GrabMyBooks button? Or will even that work? I haven't been to TR for quite some time and it looks like a couple of stories I was following there a long time ago, have completed. But, I hate reading there. It is hard on my eyes.

I'm so surprised that Trippin, Slippin is not on more people's top ten fics list. I am almost half way through and I feel like it's the best fic I've ever read. I'm crazy about vampward though. Definitely my favorite type of Edward.

Trippin is at number 1 with Dusty at 2 and True Love Way at 3.....after that it get a bit hazy
