Thread #5 - We are crazy talkers here! Join in the fun!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

Counselor is a really talented author, I all but jump for joy when My Ex Con updates.

I was doing that for the first part of the story, but now I"m not sure I like how Edward's mind works.

I do jump for joy when the bitter, the sweet by Rochelle Allison updates and when TheFicChick updates Objects in Mirror are Closer Than They Appear.

I was just reading through all the days posts and I realized, we should probably be more careful with how we use the word "jerkward"  :P

And am I the only one whose mind went right into the gutter with the comment "f*cking bacon butties" and then whose mind took it even worse when they wanted to know where to put the ketchup? I was seriously waiting for Loopy to suggest IN the bacon  ;D

 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Oh my dear Padawan, am so proud we are rubbing off on you. Welcome, child, welcome!  :D :D :D

I take no responsiblity for Catty's decent to The Darkside..not the Darkside, darkside but The Darkside...oh, you all know what I mean!

David Koresh!  You seriously crack me up.     Now I'm afraid to start one of her fics!  What if it leads me to Dusty?  My fragile mind can't handle that level of angst.  I'm tore up just thinking about how bad it affected all you guys.

Where are you from again?  What the heck is a Bacon Butty?

I'm half way through Suddenly by LyricalKris and so far I like it...  Good stuff!

KimKimKim, heelllooo? Do I have to remind you? Jellico? Right, my job is done.  :D :D

I'm from London, England, United Kingdom (while we still are...Don't leave us Scotland! I don't want to have to worry about my passport during Hogmanay!) A bacon butty is a bacon sandwich.

I think I've read Suddenly, can't remember what's it about though.....

Now this story I do remember and it really was tearjerker; I'm glad I read it early doors though, I'm sure now I'm too jaded a reader...though I do hope not!  :o

Just about to finish Look How You Turned Out, this story made me laugh soooo much, Counselor's character studies are flawless..I'd read that next Bluegeek, if you haven't already....

I absolutely agree.  Another I'm following is Collisions by Milk40, changing my course by Twilover76, both have not been updated in forever. Of course, let's not forget Me & Mr Cullen.

Don't forget Hugh Jackman!

EDIT and James Mc Avoy not that he appeals to everyone.

My type of triple Decker - just add some mayo and I'm in heaven.  :P :P

I'm not liking Hugh's tache but I still wouldn't say No!!
I don't normally do hairy guys but I make an exception with Hugh.  ;)

And yes, you never lead me wrong so I'll read my first Yellowglue starting today...

I'm still not sure what I thought about Suddenly...   She was 18 and Edward was 36, which I'm fine with, but he was sort of like her uncle so that made it a little weird for me.     Bella was raised by Rose and Emmett...   Rose and Renee were sisters and Emmett and Edward were brothers.    So, he had known her since she was a baby in a family sorta way.     He was a famous actor and she was in college in the Seattle area.

Butty!  That makes me giggle.  :D

Ok I started reading Trippin, Slippin by Yellowglue and ohmy! I'm only 3 chapters in and I'm loving it.  I really hope this fic doesn't lead me to Dusty!    I wish I had the words to describe how much I'm in love with her writing style and the way she describes emotions!   :o

Oh and I feel the same way about fiction...  Things don't typically bug me because it's not real! It's fiction...   Did you ever read The Siren (and the rest of the series)?  You are not allowed to view links.  :D Strawberry flavour? Hmmm? I'm sure that can be arranged.

No I haven't read Original Sinners, is it any good? To be honest the minute I read in the summary about something or other being held in some man's 'well manicured hands' I switched off. I don't think I can read any more of those kind of books, you know the ones, like Drive or whatever...dominant man, silly girl, very little feasible plot, is it anything along those lines? Because all I'm waiting for is the Crossfire Series to complete ( I started so I have to finish!) and then it sayonara to the whole damn genre, 99.9% of these books just bore me rigid.

Sometimes I find myself reading really, really terrible stories and they're so bad I can't help but cringe and flounce. But I really have to give props to the authors out there, because I could write about my emotions and the details of my day to day life, but any time dialogue is introduced? Nope. It's SO hard to write good dialogue.
