This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement. 

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

If you like supernatural fics, I really like Elemental by TallulahBelle.

This is another one that I really would like to read, but I never get past the first couple pages.  It is frustrating because a lot of these stories take a couple chapters to catch me, but my self-diagnosed ADD just doesn't let me stick with it long enough.  Sigh.   

Maybe if I had a good nights sleep..... 

I ended up downloading these to add to my TBR list:  (now it's at a total of 43 fics ;-) )

Major Misconduct - m7707; 160k ; Edward  - hot high school hockey player. Bella Swan - shy high school student. They've admired each other from afar, so what happens when they finally meet? Will they be strong enough to handle a threat from his past? No good deed goes unpunished...

Midnight Desire - Twilightzoner 89k; An All Human parody of Midnight Sun. AH, AU and consequently OOC. No blood lust - just uncontrollable human lust. Smut filled fun.

True Love Way - Teambella - 35k; Moving Trucks and sunglasses. Rollerblades and heart shaped potatoes. M&M's for smiles and notes across lawns. "Sometimes I'm just sad," and "I love you hard." A story about first love and the struggle to keep it sane.

Starry Eyed Inside - RochelleAllison 148K - High School Fictional. No one sends Bella into a tailspin quite like Edward Cullen... but can she make him hers? The ups and downs and all arounds.

The Single Game - AwesomeSauce76 - 94k; New girl Bella Swan is finally ready to start dating again, but the only boy she's interested in is too shy to even talk to her. Why are her friends convinced that the answer to her problem is some crazy party game… with kissing?

The Learning Curve - Amethyst Jackson; 84k; When Bella's boyfriend brings up the issue of her virginity with his ex, she decides to take charge of her own fate.

I have a bit of a soft spot for knicnort3, her fics are easy reads and I've re-read all of them several times.
Have you read the alternative ending You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login? It continues with them being in HS and how they cope being teen parents. I prefer this ending to the original as I felt doing a big time jump like that was a bit of a cop out.

Just started reading And The There Was You by StewLuv - I'm liking the angst (obviously) but I really wanna just throttle everyone in it and I'm only on chapter 7, someone tell me it gets better. 

I didn't read the alternate ending. I am not a big HS fics fan, so the time jump didn't bother me. I might have to check that out.

Log in problem appears to have been fixed on Twilighted.   When you log in you stay logged in and appear on board as registered.   I have to go back in and re-post the AU-Human fics that were the last thing I'd done on my thread before the site wend wacky.   At least 6 fics have updated in the past couple of days but the last one New Twilight Fan put up has disappeared again so fic section hasn't completely straightened out yet.  I noticed Psymom was on the board yesterday so we'll see how long it takes for whatever else is wrong gets fixed.

OBL the series is following the book pretty closely. Season one will finish up at the end of the first book.

I have become an Outlander junkie can't wait till Sat. When the show starts back up.

 

Gossip Cop and I are still going on the theory that its an April Fool's Joke.  It hasn't been confirmed.   Plus the fact that she's spending all her time touring trying to get her career established.   Robsessed has reported it and they aren't really sure it's actually real or an April Fool's joke.  Considering who and how it was mentioned, I have my doubts.

This is the latest from Gossip Cop - it might or might not be true - the two people involved have yet to say anything and the last time People reported something about the two of them, it wasn't accurate.


Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs Engaged: Reportedly NOT April Fools’ Joke After All

Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs are reportedly engaged after all. Speculation surged after T-Pain seemingly broke the news during an interview with Vulture earlier on Wednesday, but he then played it off as an April Fools’ Day joke. Now it appears he may have just been covering up the truth after accidentally exposing it.

According to People, Pattinson and Twigs are officially engaged after six months of dating. Gossip Cop has reached out once again to a rep for confirmation and comment. The Twilight actor and the musician have been linked since last year. They’ve been spotted together across the globe in recent months as both pursued busy professional schedules.

When Gossip Cop first reached out to Vulture for clarification on T-Pain’s comments, a rep for the outlet told us, “This is a real interview with T-Pain and to our knowledge he wasn’t joking about the engagement!” As we contacted other sources, T-Pain tweeted that the whole thing was a joke, and we took him at his word and reported it. The rapper-producer’s tone and language in the interview seemed earnest and straightforward, but given the April 1 coincidence, we gave T-Pain the benefit of the doubt.

It now seems like T-Pain’s subsequent “April Fools'” explanation on Twitter may just have been cover for unwittingly revealing a real Pattinson-Twigs engagement. We have yet to hear from their mouths that they’re engaged, but the latest report sounds more confirmed than any previous engagement buzz. Gossip Cop will have updates.

People isn't always right - unfortunately.  These days I trust Gossip Cop more - particularly when Rob is involved.

I hadn't heard. If it's true, at least she seems to make him happy. So I'm good with it.
