This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Anyone read this new Tarryn Fisher book?

Bought it when it first came out and still not read it, but I've heard nothing but good things about it which doesn't surprise me as it is Tarryn Fisher after all. 
If you do read it soon hun, let us know what it's like. 

It sure is getting good reviews but man, it sounds really intense! I guess I shouldn't expect anything less from her.

Lol, I think I'll try and read it after I finish the few books I'm reading atm as I need something intense to read after all the sexy step sibling/friends-to-lovers/MC etc stuff I've read lately. 
Tarryn is in a league of her own when she writes intense, I'm sure there will be plenty of WTF moments as well. 
I just wish she and CoHo would hurry up with the last part of Never Never though.

That is hilarious!!  You know, I haven't read Never Never because I'm afraid of the cliffhanger.   I'll just keep waiting til it's finished.

I looked at the reviews on Marrow.  If I weren't stuck on Twifics, I might actually read that one.  I used to flip between mysteries and romances, and that sounds like something I would read....

I so hear you there. It takes a lot for a story to pull me away from my twi-fics.   

I don't know if this is the right place for this post (please let me know if not). I'm looking for stories centered around raising Renesmee as a small child, not ones of her as a baby or fully grown. Any recs would be great.

I've read a few with Renesmee, but she is always a few years old - which means she is almost fully grown.

I have not read this story, but it may have what you are looking for....

What I imagine the 5th book fanfic style. Begins a few months after BD ended. Past not altered. Not OOC. In cannon. In Bella's POV w/Jake's occasionally. Original plot, not done before! Complete with epilogue. Please Read and Review.

Quite The Screamer:  My recommendation for Renesmee fics would be to go to Twilighted and go through the Post-Breaking Dawn fics category.   I know the following isn't what you are looking for but you might want to check out light4dawn's fics - she's anti-vampire, pro-wolf - Renesmee gets killed off by Jacob shortly after birth - and I'm not into Jacob but both fics were really good - Damn Kid especially somewhat on the creepy side with an unstable Bella as vamp (unstable as in sadly a couple of sandwiches shy of a full picnic) plus the second one where Bella leaves Edward and ends up with Jacob and the Cullens all meet their end - I think it might be Journey to a New Day.   One with Renesmee which is nice (actually mainly a Bella/Edward) is Morning by Carson Dyle.  R is a small child.  There are a couple of others under the Breaking Dawn category which are also good but I can't recall details at the moment.  Like I said - go over to Twilighted.  There is also Resent by sistergrimm (and someone here that I recommended it to loved it but hated me at the same time because the author went into the military shortly after she did chapter 13 and had decided to rewrite the fic because it wasn't coming out the way she wanted but left the fic up as currently posted.)   Bella had twins (before Victoria turned her) - Renesmee although the name is slightly different in this one and she has the appearance of a 5 yrs old child and is growing at a child's rate but her twin brother (who has daddy issues - Edward left Bella before he knew she was pregnant) Tony is also 5 but has the appearance of a 16 year old.   I adore this version of Nessie.  I'm still hoping for a continuation of this one especially considering the number of older supposedly abandoned fics that have recently returned to active status.    Resent is actually under Post-New Moon category.

Really?  This is the main reason I rarely go to Twilighted.  The writers there are pro Bella/Jacob and Wolfpack.  Two things I tend to avoid in Twilight stories. 

I know, I know, there are some good stories there.  But I download pages of completed stuff then delete more than half of them.

Twilight Archives also has Post Breaking Dawn Stories.  I've grabbed some from there but haven't had time to read them.  A number look good.

They aren't all Bella/Jacob fics Ella - there is a Bella/Jacob Chronicles collection that all goes under one banner but quite frankly I'm not into Bella/Jacob either for the most part.   Mostly Bella/Edward with some Bella/Jasper thrown in.  I'm not particularly interested in Jacob (probably because Taylor Lautner was under age 21 at the time and it was too much like robbing the cradle to even be interested - creepy if you get my drift.)   That doesn't mean I'm not open to a good story if Jacob is involved but it has to be really good.   light4dawn was good.  She's since lost interest and left the fandom which is too bad.

To me, Jacob was selfish.  I couldn't see Bella being happy with him for very long.  Edward may have been a bit creepy with his need to keep Bella safe, but if it would have made her happy, he would have let her go.  That is love. Jake wouldn't have let her go. He'd rather she was dead.  So I really disliked Jake.  Though really? With Edward, she technically was dead

No, I know there are a lot of human Bella/Edward fics on Twilighted.  It's the vampire ones that tend to have too much B/Jacob.  And my two favorite 'Wards are Vampward and Actorward.
