This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Ok alittle of topic but everyone is talking about how brilliant fka twig is..now please don't misunderstand I am not trying to bash her..  but I just can't get into the music and I'm wondering is it a British thing ?? I just am not getting it .. I don't see the brilliance.. is it just me .. I tried all 3 albums .. and nothing .. should I try again ??

Michangelina - just ignore twigs ......this too shall pass.  If you go back a few pages we have periodic discussions on her.  I don't get her, I don't get what Rob sees in her, etc.   If you don't like the music, don't listen to it.   Not many people here do.  I had my fill when she was on The Tonight Show back along and I didn't even make it through the whole song.   Why torture yourself?

Omg thank you so much!! You have no idea how much I don't like this girl for him!! Nothing at all to do with race cause I could care less but I can't believe that his family likes her so much!! And he is going to marry her?? I have to say I am so disappointed , and everyone seems to love her and I'm like what are they seeing that I am not!! I feel a lot better it's not me

Definitely not just you. I don't care for her music either, and question what Rob sees in her and my feelings have nothing to do with her race. But each to their own.

I say the same thing to each his own.. but I still.can't believe it.. he has to live with her but I'm sorry I still.can't believe he bought her a ring and is going to marry her..

I need to pick something new to read, I have been spending my free time making my daughter's 4th birthday dress and since it was a surprise I had keep cleaning it up, and then getting it out again.  But today is her birthday, so its all done and hard to believe that my baby girl is 4 already.  Before my sewing break I was re-reading the Vampire Academy series because I noticed a bunch of inconsistencies in the character descriptions and couldn't believe they would exist so I had to reread to confirm (and yes there are several changes in the characters' descriptions), but I now I need something new cause that was too much of the same series all in a row.

I read the first 3 books and "chronicles" of R.L Mathewson's Neighbor From Hell series plus the 3 Honeymoon fom Hell over the past few days. I like her writing style/stories, funny and sexy.

Also just finished Marian Tee's My Dutch Billionaire trilogy. It's her usual stuff/storyline/situations. I liked it and it's a short read, palate cleanser so i can go back to the remainng books in the  NFH series.

Is it too much to ask for a thank you or an acknowledgement email/pm for doing someone a favor?
I got a pm asking for a pdf fanfic. I replied and emailed it as requested. Also, sent a pm to tell her i already sent it (so she can look for it in case it went to her junk mailbox). I just realized it's been a week and have not heard from her.

Can't understand why people can't be bothered to give a simple thank you.... Takes very little effort. 

Am guessing, am not the only one she asked and someone else gave her a copy before i did... Oh well, that's the last time she will get my help. So there are now 2 people in my sh*tlist, both guilty of failing to do such a simple thing of saying "thank you". 

In case I haven't said this enough, thank you thank you thank you, a gazillion times more thank you to Ella for sharing her google drive, FFG for her index and untiring efforts, loopy and daisbayo for allowing me to sometimes bother/beg you for a copy of fanfics too.

I have gotten some weird requests too.  A few have asked for real books.  Or non-twilight fanfics.  I usually either ignore them or send them away.

If I can link to my Google Drive? I usually will give a link.  Otherwise, I refuse to email stuff to people I don't know. I rarely hear back until they want another one. I normally look at the profile.  They come here, never post, find a name to email, and never thank people. I ignore them most of the time.  It is what the 152 board is for. 

I have been known to give the link to Impact, since I did mention on the 152 board that I had it. 

I'm a lot friendlier to those who participate.  I think a lot of them get sent here from Facebook links, then don't know what to do.

Being a Brit, I can say it's not a British thing as I don't know anyone (including myself) who "gets" her music either, so you're definitely not alone.

You're more than welcome hun, if it wasn't for Ella's google drive I would be lost as well as I tend to use it for fics I don't have and fancy reading while out and about.

I feel you hun, I've now stopped answering PM's where people (unless they're peeps like yourself or others from this thread) ask for fics (which half the time are available on here or else where online) as a quick Thank You costs nothing, but you'd think it was costing some people their souls from the lack of them when you help them out. 

A close second on the p!ssed off scale about this is when you help someone out and then they have the gall to complain that it's not in the format that they read in. 

Okay, I know this is random but I was watching BD2 this weekend with my 13 yr old niece and she asked me how Alice could "see" the wolves in the fight scene yet she's apparently "blind" to them any other time (like when Bella was cliff diving).

Thinking of it, I've never noticed this before and now it's bugging me (sad I know  ) but anyone have any clues about this as it's driving me nuts. 

My personal theory is that it was an elaborate story that Alice concocted for Aro.

In reality, it was an addition that was made by the movie people to turn it into an action movie, without any thought whether it was faithful to the rules set out in the books.  It was strictly to lure teenage boys into the movie theater.
