Being a Brit, I can say it's not a British thing as I don't know anyone (including myself) who "gets" her music either, so you're definitely not alone. You're more than welcome hun, if it wasn't for Ella's google drive I would be lost as well as I tend to use it for fics I don't have and fancy reading while out and about. I feel you hun, I've now stopped answering PM's where people (unless they're peeps like yourself or others from this thread) ask for fics (which half the time are available on here or else where online) as a quick Thank You costs nothing, but you'd think it was costing some people their souls from the lack of them when you help them out. A close second on the p!ssed off scale about this is when you help someone out and then they have the gall to complain that it's not in the format that they read in.
Sorry, but have to vent. Is it too much to ask for a thank you or an acknowledgement email/pm for doing someone a favor? I got a pm asking for a pdf fanfic. I replied and emailed it as requested. Also, sent a pm to tell her i already sent it (so she can look for it in case it went to her junk mailbox). I just realized it's been a week and have not heard from her. Can't understand why people can't be bothered to give a simple thank you.... Takes very little effort. Am guessing, am not the only one she asked and someone else gave her a copy before i did... Oh well, that's the last time she will get my help. So there are now 2 people in my sh*tlist, both guilty of failing to do such a simple thing of saying "thank you". In case I haven't said this enough, thank you thank you thank you, a gazillion times more thank you to Ella for sharing her google drive, FFG for her index and untiring efforts, loopy and daisbayo for allowing me to sometimes bother/beg you for a copy of fanfics too.
Ok so I have been searching the web today and I have been seeing a lot on Robert Pattinson lately and I have noticed that he has been passing some not so nice comments .. he told a French magazine that the greatest insult is when he is mistaken for an american.. and his girlfriend pretty much called twilight fans losers.. now please don't misunderstand me, I love Rob always will.. but I feel like ever since twilight ended and he started dating this girl that he has been not so nice.. biting the hand that feeds him.. if you will.. this is not a post to bash Rob, but I miss when he use to think twilight fans were the sexist fans in the world.. guess he isn't feeling that way anymore .. I want the Rob I fell in love with back but I realize that those times are gone and nothing last forever.. it's sort of heartbreaking for me .. Love you all.. just needed a minute to vent :-*thanks

I agree totally. I think Twilight made him a freaking superstar, but also a bit of a joke. Twilight just isn't known for the quality of their actors, so while he was huge, I don't think that carried over into the kind of parts he really wants. He hasn't been in anything really BIG since BD, I don't think.It's not that I don't think he can act, I just think he either hasn't been given the opportunity, or hasn't taken the parts that'll keep him successful. Right now, he's still coasting on the Twifans, but eventually, they're all going to move on, so he needs to get more adult parts.
I hear what everyone one is saying I truly do.. However, I'm not sure I totally agree with everything.. I mean just because your not getting what you want doesn't mean you need to be acting a certain way..Now I love him truly I do.. But again I think that he can get what he wants and still remain humble.. He needs to take a page out of Daniel's book.. I'm sure it was hard for him to get movie roles he was Harry Potter for so long but he is getting them.. And he is doing some movies now so it's not like he isn't getting what he wants.. It's not like Hollywood has blacked balled him for being in twilight.. I just hope he simmers down a little with the comments he has been making .. but that is just my opinion.. Love you all
LOL! You thought Daniel was humble? That was not what I heard. He made a lot of snide comments about Rob getting jobs after Twilight when he was having problems. There were also drinking problems. But he seems to have turned things around. Hopefully.
Actually no I have never heard too much about Daniel .. I saw him on Jimmy Fallon last year rapping and I have to say I was really really really impressed.. I thought his rapping was better than FKA singing but to each his/her own.. I know he has been on the defensive side since going out with his new girlfriend but we don't have to love her .. His fans don't have to love her, he loves her good for him.. He shouldn't even bother.. Let the wave ride out.. But again just my opinion..
I heard it was other things he was doing that is not getting the roles. I know he was let go from a film for failing a drug test from what i understand. The girlfriend is another problem all together.I think he is more into roles in indie films then big names. He has the talent just i dont really think indie is doing it for him right now

I see I need to come out from under my rock more often ..As far as the girlfriend is concerned I really really really hope she isn't the one for him.. My reason for not caring for is from her own mouth. Things that she has said that really dont sit well with me.Rob I can totally understand where he is coming from on the twilight factor. I mean who really wants an invasion of there privacy. Paps following every little thing you do. Before twilight really did anyone know about Rob. Sure we all watched Harry Potter. but he wasnt really known and he could fly under the radar.I don't think he is really comfortable in the spotlight and there is nothing wrong with that in my book.Does that make sense?
I don't think it is just "Krisbiens" that are making comments about FKA. Unfortunately racism is alive and well. Racist people hate him with her because of her race, regardless of who he was with previously. Then there is the people that really feel that she is just using him. So, I don't believe that it is just KS's fans. I agree that if you aren't happy with your life, that is no excuse to be saying mean things, but lets be honest, when you are having a rough time, how likely are you to paint a smile on your face and play nice? I would think that this would be harder for celebrities, with how bad the press can be.

Totally makes sense. No way would I want to be a big celebrity, they have to give up way too much, for, IMO, too little reward. And some fans are just NUTS, and not our kind of nuts. I don't like actors insulting the very people that made them famous, but at the same time, I totally understand how some of them could be very uncomfortable.
