Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

I'm being commanded to attend the FSOG movie with a friend who wants to see it.  I'm afraid the lack of chemistry between the leads will ruin my future enjoyment of the books.  While the books are not Shakespeare, they are a fun guilty pleasure, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Aww, thank you for the compliment (as we all know that Bey is my alter ego  :P :P)
Definitley hun, I think I have pretty much all the music I want from the soundtrack already and I will be steering clear of most of the music videos as they all seem to be pretty boring and "trying" their hardest to do the sexy BDSM thing (obviously) and it not working but after Dakota tied up hanging from ropes from the ceiling I think I've seen it all.  ::) ::)
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I can just see Jamie in a few years doing what Rob does about Twilight - distancing himself from it.  ;D

 :o :o :o I watched for exactly 4 seconds...  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

That's what the publishing of FSoG did to my feelings about MotU. The constant references ruined it for me.

Luckily, no one is going to drag me to the movie, my daughters are in college and will go if they want - not a movie I would want to see with them even if I was interested.

Keep your eyes and ears open for news regarding the Berlin Film Festival next week.  FSoG is being shown.  Waiting for the reaction from festival attendees.  Rob will be in attendance promoting Life and Queen of the Desert which are also being shown.  This week he left for Budapest to start filming Childhood of a Leader.

Budapest is 2.5 hours away by train, too bad I don't have a good reason to go there.

My bestie was going to drag me along, she'd been going on about it for ages but the last few weeks even she's got fed up about listening to all the hype, so she's making me d/l and watch it at some point with her, oh joy!! :P :P
The only thing I'm going to enjoy about it is seeing my baby Jamie half naked.

I love Jamie (he's my baby  :D), I think he's hot but it's just not the role for him. I think he should do something darker but I'm probably thinking that as he's not long finished The Fall and that was a brilliant dark and gritty how.  ;D

Charlie would of great at it and he's done "kinky" roles before, I'll forever be fond of watching him

on QAF.  :P :P
Jamie Doran is so hawt it's not even funny, scorching! .....And so is Charlie Hunnam but I think his body type is wrong for Grey, I imagine Grey to be all sleek, long, dancer-like muscle (Jamie) , whereas Charlie is more 'Yeah, I pump weights" muscle, which is all good but not Grey. And if the studio wasn't trying to grab every dollar they can from every movie-goer over the age of 15 they could have made FSOG 'darker and gritter'...which would have suited Jamie more...Still, before they cast him the likelihood of me watching FSOG was zero, now it's a definite download, at home, with a bag of popcorn.

Loopy what film is that clip of Charlie from? What film is it?  I.Want.It! You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

You're a good friend; luckily none of my girlfriends are interested; phew! Though Mr PA, comedian that he is, is threatening to include a trip to see it as part of my 'valentine weekend' As I said, I have a huge TV, it'll do.....

It's from QAF,  if I remember rightly it was when Stuart was first introducing Nathan to the kinkier side of sex. [emoji106] [emoji7]
Do you and everyone else that I've already claimed Jamie!! [emoji7] [emoji7] [emoji38] [emoji38]

It's a good thing me and the hubby don't bother with Valentines (that way he can't threaten me with watching it) at most we just spend a bit longer in our playroom then we normally would. [emoji15] [emoji6]

Ohhhhh, non - crazy people. [emoji50] [emoji79]  Well then I've no excuses to use. [emoji2]

Yeah, that'll be me, if Mr PA and I get through our first one!

Jamie and I will get it on when your back's turned....or you're pregnant; whichever comes first. And considering your hubby's newest present (F*ck Cancer Tshirt) it might be any day now.... :P :D

Ya know, I've never seen QAF (I'm not sure why not).....I'm about to remedy that right now!

Lol, you'll get through the first one just fine hun despite the hassle of all of it. Thanks Hallmark, not. [emoji35]   [emoji13] [emoji8]

The only time my back would be turned to Jamie will be if he's pulling my hair and doing schmexy things to me. [emoji85] [emoji13] [emoji13]
As for another baby I promised the hubby when he turns 30 we'd try again, so if all goes to plan that gives me just over 4 years and then I can use the excuse of being too old. [emoji6]

I loved QAF it was so taboo at the time, I tried to watch the US version but couldn't get into it. [emoji20]

Ugh, the hubby's watching F&F 6 and it's on the part which has Rita Ora at the start of the race, I know she's only in this film for like a minute or two but it's cringe worthy.
[emoji85] [emoji85]
I know that she's not a major character in FSoG but I dread watching her "act" in it.

She doesn't run F&F 6 as it's not a great film to start with but the couple of minutes she's on screen you kinda want Paul or Diesel's foot to slip on the gas. [emoji6]

I think EL James had a bit if a say in the casting, but not really sure but whoever did casting needs to find a new vocation . [emoji15] [emoji13] [emoji13]

God...I'm scared to say this but....sh!t, I think I might have to have a re-read of FSOG (or maybe MOTU as I never read the Twific) because I CRS about it, except for the obvious stuff; who is Mia (Alice)? Oh! Wait. Is that Grey's sister? Or am I thinking of Gideon Cross?

BTW Loopy you have a 'friend' on GR that has read 75 of the 400 books she wants to read this year. 75 books?! How? We're only 28 days into the year and the count started on the 1st, I read fast and I've only read 21! I can't get my head round it.....
