I really like the ideas behind Shields of Power, but do agree that it could be written a little better, its not horrible but not the best out there either. I liked it better the first time I read it, or I liked my memory of it more after only one read.
Yes, Monster in His Eyes was written by JM Darhower who wrote Emancipation Proclamation under the name kharizzmatik. She pubd EP as Sempre.I gave MihE and the sequel 4 stars, enjoyed it!
Oh yeah yeah.. I was confused [emoji12] I just added Shields to my TBR.. i started reading the 2nd book in the Monster In His Eyes series.. I'm hoping it's trashy... Ive been reading too much fade to black, its making me depressed! [emoji16]
If I remember correctly that monster book is going to be super hawt!
When I read the description of the story, I wondered if it was her. I just don't keep track of it all. I let jklly do it.
and its a pain in the butt to keep track of. Did anyone Read the rerealse of sempre I am told it is way different from the fic.
I actually just re-read the whole series last week and the second book Sempre: Redemption is very different from EP especially after Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents. even though there are a few other things that have been taken from EP, about 80% of it is brand new material and it has a totally different ending as well.I loved the pub'd versions, the editing to the books was so refreshing as quite a few pub'd fics have very little if any changes to them other than different names.
I'm curious...which do you prefer? The fic version or the published?
That's really difficult but I think EP
EP and all its outtakes are in my top 10. However, I don't think i can read it again bec of the length and the angst. It's amazing how, if you really like a story, you still remember vividly some scenes. This is a sign for me that the work really made on impact on me, hence, it is in my top faves. I am currently reading Drotuno's A Few Tables Away. A very shy Edward than i am used to but enjoying it so far. I finished my goodreads challenge so i am under no pressure to read more books/fanfic. So i took the plunge to read this 1,200+ fanfic.
If you guys haven't read Making Faces by Amy Harmon you're really missing out! I'm now reading The Man That Cannot Be Moved ff... think that's the title? Is been recommended a bunch and I've had it on my tbr lost for a long time.
