Just finished A Few Tables Away and it was very good. Really love the way drotuno writes, the dynamics of a family who love and support you, brings out so many emotions. Rec this as well.Look, Loopy! I learned how to add a book in goodreads! You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginKim, TMWCBM is the second fanfic i ever read and is one of my faves, included in my top 10. OBL, i have to unsee that pic of Rob! Good thing he grew up to be handsome. There are really guys who look better as they grow older, lucky bastards. This should erase that image and allow me to dream of The Pretty and not turn it into a nightmare Off to bed for me! Good night/day ladies!

Is it a vampward too? It's also in my TBR but haven't read much fanfics this year (only 10! )
I just added Shields to my TBR.. i started reading the 2nd book in the Monster In His Eyes series.. I'm hoping it's trashy... Ive been reading too much fade to black, its making me depressed!
I am not 100% loving it yet, but I just got started... they jumped in the sack too quickly for me... I like reading more UST! ;-) I'm thinking though that there must be a lot of good stuff to come because I'm barely started
So, what are you thinking about MiHE? I really really loved these books! She is an awesome writer!
Speaking of UST (unsatisfied sexual tension?)... haven't we discussed our favorite UST fics/books before? I can't find this discussion when I look back. So, I need recommendations... What are the fics/books you've read that really stand out to you when it comes to UST or a very slow burn getting to the "good stuff"? For me, I'm thinking Diva Diaries is one of the best as far as a slow burn goes and I give it the gold medal in this category!... I have some favorite chapters in that one that I remember very clearly. I also think Dusty, Wide Awake and For The Summer took a really long time to get to actually do the deed. LOL
Gotta say, I feel pretty good emotionally today. I raised $336 for charity with my blanket, and my work is going to match. What a great feeling!!
FINALLY! I finally finished Dead Confederates by goldenmeadow! As I said, it has a crude, coarse sort of poetry to the language. And this is a way, way different portrayal of the Cullens. The unique portrayal and odd lyricism to the foul language is about the only factors of interest in this story though. Perpetually horny Eddie is either thinking about "doing" Bella, talking about "doing" Bella or actually "doing" Bella. The variety of the language used, other than the overuse of the f word, is impressive. There's not a whole lot of plot.If you feel compelled to read the story and want to find the actual plot rather than just rolling around in the unique use of redneck rhetoric, I suggest you read the first chapter to get a feel for the author's voice. Then skip directly to page 600 to finish the story. Yeah, you'll miss the majority of Bella getting the business, Emmett's hypochrondria, and funny church signs, but you'll also miss out on the tedium of pages and pages of a primarily plotless story.
Anyone ever have problems with their iPad flickering? Any app I open randomly selects crap.. Or while reading, the top and bottom scroll bars/margins are flickering.
My iPad 3 didn't flicker like that. The screen suddenly went to showing multicolored lines while flickering, like when the tv gets static signal. When i showed it to the mac service center they said it can no longer be repaired. It was the lcd screen itself that got damaged. you either dropped it or it was constantly being pressed like when it is crammed in a bag with other stuff (which is what happened to me as i take it everywhere in my handbag). You may want to show it to the service center, see if it can still be fixed specially if that is still under warranty and the screen is not totally dead. They tried hard closing it (pressing both home and off button until the apple logo appears). You can try that too first and see if it stops flickering. Mine, despite several attempts of hard closing, never had the logo appear.I had to say goodbye to my ipad3. Bought an ipad air 2 which is much more lighter. Hope this one lasts longer than 2.5 years. Was told by a friend to bring the ipad3 to a place here that jailbreaks and fixes apple products. After 1 week, i went there to see if they can revive it. Was amazed how easy it was for them to open the ipad. They replaced the lcd and now its working again. Wish i thought of that first so needn't buy a new one. Gave it to my daughter as it has more memory than her ipad2. So am keeping her ipad2 as our spare, in case something happens to it again or my son's ipad. Here's the pic of the ipad3 when it died on me
This may be the first year I don't get a Rob Pattinson Calendar. I found one online but it will cost $38. Yeah, no. LOL! They are mostly old pictures anyway. But he cheers up my office.... Guess its back to flowers or cats or whatever.... I did see a cute shoe calendar.....Sorry you guys are having trouble with your iPads. They really should be drop proof and last longer than 2.5 years - they cost enough. So I got a Kindle Fire 7" Tablet. The $50 model - it was on sale for $36 on Black Friday. It just came in. They advertise that though it is only 8GBs it will take a 128GB microSD card (which were also on sale) Well, it turns out, you can put some of the app data on the SD card and videos, but Amazon books and Audible books have to go on the main drive. The speaker on it is pretty good. But you really need a wifi connection for it to work well. Then you can stream Prime videos or Netflix. I was listening to Christmas carols on Prime music and it sounded good too. So I stayed up late last night reading this:You are not allowed to view links.
