Wet shirt and backwards hat!  *drool*
edited to add: and that accent!

This is a problem for me as non-native English speaker. I can't even tell if he speaks with an accent anymore. It's just Rob and I hang on his lips. He could read the phone book to me and I'd be totally ecstasized.
I noticed however the strong English "accent" of the interviewers in his recent interviews for The Rover in London. So, I think Rob has lost a lot of his original pronounciation over the last years.

The Ice Bucket Challenge is....I have no words...it runs on repeat since this morning. He wears his cap backwards? I didn't even notice! I'm totally fixated on his...umm...upper body and lower body or should I just say it: I try to change the vid by my will and piercing gaze fixated on his nipples alone so that he takes off his clothes miraculously in the next pass. Sometimes my eyes will stray a little lower too and I squint my eyes and press pause every so often...  :P

I'm still reading Ruthless & Ivory by MujerN. It's greatly written and really different and interesting. Edward is totally hot though he's a killer. I'm halfway through, but I still can't think of where this story is going. Definitely not fluffy so far, but quite angsty. YAY!

I got a little sidetracked though, because we got a cat last Thursday! A big childhood of mine fulfilled! His name is Lucky, 6 months old, he's smokey black with green eyes and a total charmer! Though he's quite cheerful and lively too. We had a rough night tonight. Of course he's sleeping in our bed at night, but I wonder how long this'll last until he needs to sleep in the living room. My husband and I are quite tired since we're sleeping in a threesome.  ;) Not to mention the lack of other sleeping...ahem...because the cat is always there.  :D But we love him already and we hope he loves us back. He'll be allowed to walk out the first time this weekend and we hope he'll be less bored then and more exhausted and we have the house for a few hours for activities we prefer to do unwatched.  :P

Will miss you, but have a great and safe trip....where are you going btw?

Just to Hong Kong. 4 days vacation, 3 days business.

Does the hotel you are staying at have a gym for guests? If so, you could get in some quick cardio to off set the calories you are eating. If they don't then I would try to keep the eating in perspective and try not to go over board.

Good luck and I hope you have a great time!!

Que horror!!! Go to a gym while on vacation?  :o :P :D As you can already predict, it will take me a loooooong time to lose weight.

Only had about 2 hours sleep before leaving for my flight. Been going non-stop since 3am, it's now 5:40pm. All the walking under the sun at Disneyland should help me lose some weight, right? Walking and sauna?  ;D :D

This mall has free wifi for 20 minutes so am now sat at a bench, drinking milk tea, checking the thread while the 5 other girls i came with are out shopping.  ;D not much of a shopper and am a bit pooped after the heat and walking. But it has been a blast so far.  :) Just recharging for a bit before hitting the stores.

And can i say, damn, the wifi here is fast! i downloaded Rob's ice bucket challenge for later repeated viewing.

Laters, baby!

Don't have much time before I gotta go drop the car off to be serviced, but believe it or not doing a quick 30 minutes of cardio on your vacation is not unheard of. LMAO. Just put some good tunes on and get lost in the music while on the treadmill, elliptical or whatever cardio machines that they have. The walking will help offset the calories, so hopefully it won't be too bad.

To be honest every time I see the words 'historical romance' my mind translates it to Barbara Cartland  :P

OK so I know it's bad form to discussion one's mistress with one's wife but this new mistress of my is....interesting. For instance instead of re-reading they say re-kilting and they write in, what I can only assume, they'd classify as 'Scottish' ie. "I canna" "I ken" "give me a wee moment" etc; it's hilarious! There a thread were someone's made a excel spreadsheet of all the sex scene in the series  :o I'm almost grateful Twilight didn't have any!  :P Though regardless of that, I still love you passionately and we're not getting divorced!  :-*  :D

Barbara Cartland...a blast from the past. I remember reading her books and also Anne Mathers. Damn, I feel old. I remember after lights out, under my blanket with a flashlight.....good times

I must say that I do enjoy historical romance.....back in the day that's mostly all I had to read.

Have fun in Hong Kong Booked

Ella - I flounced Love and A Big Green Bag  - I was reading it and enjoying it and then Kristen did her thing with what's his name (Rupert - sorry - senior moment) from Snow White and the Huntsman and pissed off Rob and the fic wasn't quite as fun - it hit home so to speak which is probably a stupid reason to flounce but it made sense at the time

Not cool?  C'mon!  You sure are being argumentative since you've been on that other board!    :D   The backwards hat is hot.  How can it not be?

The accent...  oh the accent!  I'm curious if you folks on that side of the pond think that American accents are sexy?   Wait, haven't we all had this conversation before?     I think it lead to Astro or somebody uploading how her ipad read "mmmmm!" in fics as millimeter, millimeter, millimeter (instead of a sexy sound)  :D
I've gotta agree with Mrs F - backwards hats, so not cool and it totally reminds me of Marky Mark.  :D :D

I love the American accent, especially peeps down South.
I went out (by went out I mean slept with  :P) with a guy from Louisiana for 2 weeks just cos I loved his accent.  :D :D

Loopy, just so you know, a Louisiana accent is not an American accent.  Louisiana, despite being part of the United States, is a whole nother country.  I say this as a neighbor to Louisiana.  And, around here, people tend to think that parts of east Texas actually should be in Louisiana (kissin' cousins, you might say).  IMO, it's not even a southern accent.  It's a Louisiana accent, or it might be a Cajun accent.  It just depends on what part of Louisiana he's from.

FYI, I made certain assumptions about what you meant by going out with him.  Apparently, my assumptions are correct.   :D

Louisiana accents are so crazy. I LOVE THEM. There's a few distinct dialects and it's funny because the majority of the people I've met from Louisiana were born and raised there, but it's entirely possible that they have a cajun accent or sound like they're from up north.

I agree :)

They do post a lot about Kristen too (when she's doing things) and to be honest, I care more about Rob than her anyways... Sooo.. *shrugs*

If you don't like action/mysteries you probably won't like the Gravity Series. There are lemons eventually, but not as much as in the Angel series.  The Angel series is much better than Twilight. It actually picks up 2 years after he left in New Moon. In this one, he didn't come back right away. No visit to the Volturi, no Renesme.  The mating bond is much stronger than Twilight. Bella has a similar power but better. And lots of lemons. She actually writes lemons well. I just don't need so many.

I'm not big on Mafiaward, so I understand not finding a type of story interesting.  I like mysteries and action stories so I thought it was good.   ;D
Yep, I think the genre just isn't my thing and since it's so long I don't know if I'd ever make it all the way through it.  To be honest, that stuff kinda scares me when I'm reading it. LOL Well, I mean all the war and criminal, kidnapping stuff.   I'm sort of a wimp though.   It's even worse when it's the legal/criminal tv shows!   :o

I just finished The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher. It has mostly 4/5 star reviews on Goodreads, so I thought I would like it. Nope. How often do you find yourself reading something where you really don't care for any of the characters?

This one was about a woman that ran into her ex-boyfriend, who was the love of her life, even though she dumped him. He was in an accident and forgot most of his memories, so he wouldn't remember her dumping him and she tries to win back his affection even though he currently has a girlfriend. I don't know. I found it so hard to sympathize with her because she is seriously the biggest idiot. He wasn't all that great either, except for being described as a handsome British Casanova type.

But it's a trilogy! So there's a book after about his shallow girlfriend/future wife, and then his book where he's divorced and trying to get back with the first woman, even though she's now married.

I've had this book on my iPad for absolute ages (its sequels too) but something has stopped from reading it...it did strike me that the story didn't really have any sympathetic characters and the plot was a bit screwy.

I broke my Romance teeth on BC exactly as you depicted, under the covers with a flash-light evading Sister Rita's nightly checks, I do have a soft spot for her but it's like Malibu, it gave me my first alcoholic hangover, it was a beaut, I still remember it 20 years later, so much so that even the smell of Malibu can makes me feel sick!  :D

When I read The Opportunist I thought it was just ok but I was definitely not thrilled with it.  I originally only gave it 3 stars but at the time I didn't realize there were going to be more books.   I didn't like that it didn't feel complete.  After reading the whole trilogy I can say that I loved the series and I highly recommend.  It doesn't follow any of the normal formulas and kept me guessing.     Super Creep I'm wondering if you read the next two books if you'd change your mind like I did about the series?   Demaris, I didn't realize you hadn't read this yet...  You REALLY should.   I think you would appreciate it because it is a hefty dose of angst!  (definitely one of the most angsty books I've ever read, just right behind Dusty on the angstmeter)   I read so many books and then after a month I can't remember anything about them but this is one of those that I just can't ever forget.   I still remember the crazy emotions it made me feel like i just read it yesterday.

If any of you decide to read it, try not to read many of the reviews because you don't want to spoil the plot. :)
