Love this site and spend as much time reading the threads and finding stories as I do actually reading stories. The bad stuff is not being able to put down the kindle and ending up with 3 hours sleep and work again the next day My housework takes a very far away back seat and its just as well my youngest son is 26 and can feed himself or I would be neglecting him too.I have become utterly obsessed with Twilight, Edward in particular with stories about anything and everything. My favourite are Doctor or Fireman ones and of course the usual Vampire. I have just read Order of the Seers by LittleWing2. Fabulous story 'cos I love science fiction. I read on her fan fiction profile and found on Amazon the sequel, The Red Order but because I am already hooked on the Edward and Bella story, it's really difficult to get into characters with new names!!Does anyone know if she ever wrote it with the twi-characters?Another one the same is Surviving Bella by Savage7289, which has a sequel Bastian's Storm but although I have purchased it I'm not sure I want to read with without "Edward and Bella".Does anyone else have this "problem"?? I love to see wonderful writers get to publish their stories but am reluctant to spoil the story that's in my head by reading with other characters!! Just saying.....
Definitely have trouble reading fics that are not B/E. Some of the really good fanfics that I read were pulled to publish and I just can't read them. I've read a couple B/J fics but for the most part can't read anything other than B/E.
I am stictly E/B and HEA only.
I am HEA only too although there was one where I thought it was HEA and it was a different type of HEA. I was reading it as a WIP and was blindsided.
I do have to be careful what I read at work as getting asked what you're reading when you laugh out loud leads to embarrassing conversations or lies!! I thought I was all alone in this nutty obsession but I've read a few profiles that are just so close to me it's scary. Sounds kinda daft to obsess over a character but I'm so glad it's not just me.Someone described it as OCD - Obsessive Cullen Disorder but it's more like OED.
Now it goes on sale for $.99, two days after I bought it for $4 and finished it. Lol You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Judith McNaught has great books. but to have lesson plans and selling the books at ridiculous prices? yup, taking it too far.I also love her contemporaries:You are not allowed to view links. Been waiting for her "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" for forever!
Oooohhh, I loved loved loved Judith McNaught. I wish she would write more , you are right, been waiting for "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" for forever! She is now in her 70s. I collect all her books (actual books). i am only missing 'Something Wonderful' , i gave my copy to my sister and had not been able to find it in the used book sales again but i keep looking each time I came across one. i had both versions of 'Whitney, My Love'. The first version(1985) with 35 chapters and The special edition (1999) with 42 chapters and a couple of changes . I also loved and collect books by Julie Garwood and Amanda Quick (her older books)
OMG! I just read Monster In his Eyes by JM Darhower, and omg I'll be preordering the sequel and impatiently waiting as if it were an update from my fave ff story. Lol. You should check it out. She does mafia men so well and the choking sex, I'm just going to shut up now. (Nothing sexier than a man in a suit!)
I have so much vinyl I have a travel truck to store it all unfortunately my turn-table broke but I have every intention of replacing it.
Ladies, I have a confession.......I just bloody well couldn't help it! I blame Booked ( she recc'd it, I think). But, taking into consideration everything ever said about BR, if you're going to read one (KimKim) then this one tries to bring new elements to a hackneyed genre, it was bloody long though, almost a 1000 pages ( which for a BR is a saga) but it was a pretty good guilty pleasure...as such things go.... Just another reason why I don't read WIPs.
Demaris, I'm curious what a travel truck is. I'm picturing you having a gigantic U-Haul type truck parked outside your house full of vinyl records.
This is exactly what I was picturing! *hahaha!!!!;)
I was just searching for a funny picture of a uhaul truck to post in case Demaris didn't know what one was... get this... when i searched for "uhaul truck in front of house" somehow one of the first pictures that popped up was of Robert Pattinson! LOL Him and a dozen uhaul trucks images on one page.
Anyone here having issues with tinypic? After selecting the image and i click on "upload now", i get an "error 503: service unavailable" message. What other app/site do you use to upload pictures on message boards like ours? That does not require logging in our becoming a registered member?
Me too... I resist the urge at all costs!! The frustration is not worth it.
