This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Read Beneath The Burn ( it's a stand alone, thank God, I've read nothing but series, it feels like, for ages), I think you'll enjoy it.

Okay hun, I've had it on my TBR list for ages just never got around to it.
I'll start it after I finish Trickery & Envy.

Just finished the Fallaway series by Penelope Douglas, I really thought I wasn't gonna survive after starting Bully but the next 2 books in the series are definitely better than the 1st.

It's a good thing it's now complete as I was gonna have to re-read previous chapters to know what has happened in it as I've no idea.

I want someone to read Beneath and tell me I'm not crazy about how good it is...its not the 'writing' so much, but the fact that it lives up to it promises, which most author's characters never do....

Calibre help!

I went to save a book to my hard drive "save to single directory" and its saving the files as "[003] -"... Its not copying the book/story titles.

Just one book? I usually use the basic "Save to disk" but it does move the whole folder.

Okay just tried it and it worked without a problem. What are you saving it to? Your computer? Or an external drive?

I tried the save the epub only but it saves the cover and opf file also.

I'm still using Calibre 2.12.0 with the latest version of FFDL.

I tried three books, all saved with weird number bracket thing, no titles. I did the regular with the folder, the folder had the book title, but the file itself did not. So weird!

Am not a fan of Steel and Roberts. Think i've only read 2 books of each. Am not liking Roberts' attempts to control fan fiction. Her attitude leaves a lot to be desired, likely not reading any of her books, ever.

That 17 year old thief should not win the award, let alone be nominated by that panel of morons, err judges.

Those irresponsible comments could influence the next generation. No originality? Mixing is ok? Some legal authority should step in and stop this as it sends such a morally wrong message.

Finished reading Marian Tee's Heart Racer series. Relatively short fun read except for the last one, Click (angsty). She tends to make her characters do grand gestures to prove their love, which i am a sap for. Cheesy. Check. Swoon worthy. Check. Give her books a try.

I guess i am what you call a Serial Reader as i tend to read all books in a series, following character spinoffs as well.

I read a lot of Steel in junior high and high school, even a few years after, but they all started to feel the same. I read everything Roberts wrote up until a few years ago. She used to write the BEST romances, but the last few of hers that I read just left me cold, not mushy and sweet. Honestly, I can't think of ANY traditional romance authors that I still read. Roberts, Lowell, Garwood, Kleypas, Howard, Coulter, I used to read them all, but I just...stopped. Now I'm all about the fanfic and M/M romances.

LOL! Although I do appreciate his er assets (?), I actually like to look at your picture of Hugh Jackman.

Jackman is sexy, no doubt it's the best thing about this new batch of Xmen films Wolverine and Fassy TOGETHER! What could be better than that?!

BTW. I'm reading another Pam Godwin novel....this one is making my stomach clench a little [emoji53] She's a little bit of a sick puppy....
