Does anyone have some spare motivation they can email me? I have a ton of paperwork for work to get done today.....on my day off.......and no motivation to actually do it.
I'd send you some, but it is taking all that I have to read these darn school books. Why did I think going back to school would be a fun thing to do? ? ?
I don't think that school and fun belong in the same sentence. What are you taking?
LawI like to learn. And just taking classes has been fun. But trying to get a degree out of it? Is a lot of work. And? I was thinking maybe I need a PhD in Psychology next. I could get my head examined at the same time I'm learning.....
Wow, Law. I am positively green with envy. When me and my kids were younger I wanted to be a lawyer, but I would have had to move to a big city and I didn't want to raise my kids in that environment, so I gave up that dream. Hey, if you get a PHD in Psychology, you could examine all of our heads here on PTS!
In California, you can now do law school by correspondence/online. There are some additional things, like taking the Baby Bar after your first year. Also, it is four years rather than 3. But it is better than driving 2 hours each way to take classes. I also think Michigan now allows it. Only because I think someone told me they knew of someone doing it there. Who knows, it could be allowed where you are if you are still interested.
That is interesting. I just may have to check out if something like that is available up here in Canada. That is awesome that you are doing it though. So, good on you.
Thanks Yeah, it was fun the first year, but now in the fourth year? I'm ready to be done.... Good luck if it is something you still want to do. I'm thinking it isn't what I thought it would be like. Too much writing. I've realized I'm not that crazy about writing.... Just reading.
Ya, lots of work, but it will be so worth it once you are done. So then you will be a lawyer after you are done?
Well, I still will have to pass the bar exam. Then technically I will be a lawyer. Only I make more money doing what I do now that I would as a beginning lawyer. And I work a lot less hours too. So it may be a side job or I might get some experience with a pro bono group or something. I can't afford to quit my current job. Which I really like for the most part. So it may be one of those "retirement" businesses....
Do you think I could study medicine online ? I really want to go back and become a doctor but the idea of all those years in school, not earning any money, puts me right off.....
Well there is nothing wrong with retirement businesses. The pro bono work will give you experience and get your name out there, so I think that will be a good thing. Sucks that you would make less than your current job though.
OK. I can't actually tell, which one is Bradley Cooper?!
