I've now finished Scout's Honor by samekraemer and I really don't know what to say.

The story was a HEA.

I have loved all the stories this author has written in the past but, I can't say that this was one of them.  The writing seemed immature - maybe that was because it dealt with H/S but it just didn't resonate with me.

I feel like a witch criticising but I can't say I particularly enjoyed this fic and I nearly flounced, several times.

I see Kevin Bacon and I think of one of our pet goats or the damn EE ads he's doing over here at the moment.  :o :D

When I first watched this and he mentioned "Tremors" - I squealed out loud as that film still freaks me out.  ;D

Kevin with a "fake" tan.  :D :D

There really is something about a guy and ripped jeans and Rob does it well.  ;)

Ripped jeans - yep, definitely lickable! I can't tell you what George Michael used to do to me!

*le sigh* I should have learnt my lesson after my Michael Jackson crush!

I need to go hunting for those Bacon clips on youtube - they're telling me that they won't open in Australia!

I didn't flounce but I skipped a lot. She rushed too much.
It had so much potential, the way it started.
Then it was just silly and blargh

Faith - one of my fave songs, love George in that. It's been pretty much downhill for him since then.   ;D
Maybe you got a thing for the name Michael hun??  :D

Poor Kevin can't be that strapped for cash - the ads are awful, but I suppose it's easy money.
I mean Jennifer Aniston is doing a Sky ad over here as well.  :confounded: :o

Honestly, I would say delete it.

I am so disappointed as the summary sounded promising.

Actually him and his wife Kyra Sedgwick lost a lot of money in the Bernie Madoff fiasco a few years back.

Yeah, I don't tend to watch news either, its depressing but I remember this because it happened while she was still filming her show The Closer and it was in an interview with her.

I actually like his show The Following. It's pretty good so far.

I totally had the picture of George Michael's butt from the Faith video hanging on my wall as a teen.

I watched the first few episodes but I like shows that are solved at the end.  This one has a sicko whose followers just keep growing.  So I got bored.  Though I like Kevin Bacon.  ;)

Subject change, but is there any way to mark a story as "read" on ff.net, other than favoriting it?

I'd like to have a better way to keep track of what I've read, without hitting favorite, cause I've read some stinkers, lol!

An excel spreadsheet, maybe? You could put in the story name and author.

EDIT: Just saw you said on ff.net :-[ Not that I know of, but I'd love it if there was!

The only celebrity endorsement that I can think of that we see in Australia was George Clooney and the Nespresso coffee machines.

 ;D
I bought one last weekend!!!
 :D

We also did see that terrible Brad Pitt Chanel ad, but mostly just replayed on TV shows so that people could laugh at it. I hope the Rob Dior ads won't be like that! Brad didn't even look good!

I had to google Bernie Madoff! And now I'm googling Ponzi scheme!

For some reason, I keep thinking of Potsie and Fonzie from Happy Days! I think I need to watch the news more carefully  :-[ and stop having 70s sitcoms as my only point of reference!

If you watched White Collar you'd know what a Ponzi scheme is! :P

How is everyone? I spent the past few days up with a very close friend helping her bring on her new horse. He's just a widdle (or not so little) wee baby boy, 3 year old thoroughbreds are like toddlers I swear to you. Although he is so willing to try anything you ask of him, he did throw a tantrum when we fed him though.

I've also eaten my weight in cherry cheesecake which I made to take up. I don't know why I made two, but I think it's just about all we've eaten over the past day or so! Haha.

While I've been away I've been slowly reading As Children After Play by Chris. It's supposedly almost finished so I don't feel so bad about starting another WIP, that and I've been only able to read a couple of chapters a night. I'm actually quite enjoying it despite the rather dark themes and the fact that it is a Vampire fic, which I am very picky about. These Vampires so far seem to be SM canon and well written. If you don't mind fics about an abused Bella then this is one worth putting on your TBR lists folks; mind you I'm only just over a third of the way through it.

I know, I know - but I had been downloading it religiously every week!

I just don't know if I can handle lusting after another gay man!

And Loopy, this one is a Matthew, not a Michael, so maybe I have a thing for men who start with an M. Or maybe it's just men in general!!!

And now I'm craving a Cherry Ripe bar! And I'm logging off to go in search of a Cherry Ripe Cheesecake recipe, and if one doesn't exist, I just might need to invent it - even though my poor lactose and chocolate intolerant tummy and my humongous arse really don't need it! My 30 Day Shred is becoming a 30 week shred!

You could bookmark them in your browser. I have all the stories that I have downloaded bookmarked, in seperated folders named by fandom and another one named "already read". My personal rating system also applies there, which means that I have subfolders for the different ratings.

This means that whenever I follow a link posted here, I can easily check if the story is already in my library. If I want more information, I hit ctrl d (I'm using firefox, so I don't know if this works with other browsers) and can see in which folder I placed the story. That way I can see if I've already read the story or if I liked it.

I started this bookmark system back in '07 when I first discovered (and saved) Harry Potter fanfiction, so my fanfiction folder is huge :). The only thing I have to be careful about is the link itself. It has to be defaulted in some way to eliminate duplicates.

I use a similar sistem! But mine is a sort of list that I have on my sticky notes on pc :)

I'm reading "And then there's you" I'm quite taken! Well written story!!

Matt Bomer.......I really couldn't believe that he is gay...I felt really bad, not that I have a problem with gays, but how come handsome men are taken or gay???????

I'm reading Wisp by Chris, totally in love with this fic! I've read the summary of As children sfter play, but I was a little hesitant to the fact that there are vampires in the story...Maybe I'll give it a try! :)
